I remember blinc mascara from way back when-it was one of the first ‘tubing mascaras” which was a godsend for people who had trouble with mascara smudging on them all the time. And that is pretty much the extent of my blinc knowledge until now… 😛

blinc products have the cutest packaging ever!

Well, it seems that blinc has been BUSY since the last I heard of them! They are back at Sephora, and with a handful of carefully curated products that most women want to last all day. blinc products have been developed with a formula that offers waterproof qualities while still being incredibly easy to remove. And these products are ideal for fitness lovers, allergy sufferers, and anybody that needs their brows to stay put no matter what!

blinc Mascara Amplified($30)

blinc Mascara Amplified.jpg

blinc Mascara Amplified

So, this has been reformulated since the last time I tried it. It’s still like the original Blinc Mascara, as it’s still smudge-proof, sweat-proof, water-resistant, and flake-proof. As with the original, Mascara Amplified coats lashes with tiny water-resistant “tubes” around each lash. But, unlike the first formula, this one applies more like a traditional mascara, so you can add as many coats as you want to build it up. And, you can even go back and reapply if needed, after it dries.

To be honest though, I didn’t try this one. TUBE MASCARAS FREAK ME OUT OK….I just get all creeped out pulling the tubes off my lashes and just couldn’t put myself through the experience again, so SUE ME, LOL. If you are a tuber, you’ll love this stuff I’m sure.

blinc Eyebrow Mousse($30)

blinc Eyebrow Mousse5.jpg

blinc Eyebrow Mousse

HOLY JESUZ this is some serious eyebrow tint!! It fills in sparse areas with tint, and then locks it all in place with a gel formula that doesn’t fade, run, or smudge, even if you sweat like a mofo during Zumba class like I do. Now, this shade I was sent is light brunette which is too dark for me-kinda’ gave me Groucho Marx brows, so no pics of Tracy with the stuff on because damn it, there’s just quite enough embarrassing photos of me on the interwebs. But trust me when I say this does not budge AT ALL. And don’t use a makeup wipe to try and remove it because all that will do is just take out any loose eyebrow hairs that have met their day. You need an oil cleanser to get these blinc brows off safely. All I know is that I’m getting a shade that’s more suitable for me that’s for dang sure because WOW. Good stuff.

blinc Eyeliner Pencil

Blinc’s eyeliner pencil was created to feature water proof, smudge proof, fade proof color that makes it one of the longest wearing pencils available and OMG, again they don’t kid about this stuff you guys. It’s creamy, so you have some time to smudge and blend, but once it sets, it’s THERE. And lasts forever and a day, AMEN. It’s so good on my upper waterline where I tightline all the time! LOVE LOVE.

blinc Eyeshadow Primer

blinc Eyeshadow Primer.jpg

blinc Eyeshadow Primer

Ok, where has this stuff been my whole life? Because again HOLY SHIZ this stuff is amazing and holds everything! I don’t wear a lot of eyeshadow lately, but what I dearly love wearing is my Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadow Top Coat Blanc Satin. It’s just a clearish cream base shadow with the prettiest white sparkles you’ve ever seen. It’s meant to be used as a sparkle top coat on top of shadows, but I love it just on it’s own. It brightens up my old eyes so much! BUT…it has major fall down with every primer I’ve tried-white glitter all over my cheeks no matter what I do, so I kind of gave up on it, until this blinc one came around. This miracle primer keeps the white sparkles on my lids where they belong and it’s total LOVE. Just so much love!

Swatchy Time!

Swatches of the blinc eyebrow mousse in Light Brunette, the eyeliner pencil in black, and the primer in light-the primer comes in different shades to help counteract any discolouration on your lids so another YAY for that.

And if you believe anything I ever say, then trust me again-you need some blinc in your life! If you have trouble with certain products like these ones I’ve shown lasting on you, then you seriously need to give blinc a try! You won’t be sorry, I promise.

Have you ever tried anything from blinc before? Are you a fan of tubing mascaras? Or do they creep you out too?

When you are fair, it’s really hard to find a bronzer that looks good on you. Most bronzers are so pigmented and normally, that’s a good thing when it comes to makeup products. But not when you are fair and want to wear a bronzer! Fair skins need bronzers that are sheer and buildable. And that’s exactly what Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion bronzers are like! Well, at least the two that I have.

Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion

Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion 15I Soft Iridescent Amber, 10M Natural Matte Honey

Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion bronzers($42) are gel-power bronzers that blends seamlessly onto cheeks and never, ever looks powdery. They are long lasting, waterproof bronzers. I know a lot of people have complained that they’re not very pigmented, or you can’t pick up a lot of product onto your brush. And that’s because Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion bronzers have the same surface finish and texture like the MAC Extra Dimension powders and blushes. You need to use a very dense brush, like a kabuki brush to pick up product. Finger oils will cause hard-pan to form, but just use some scotch tape to lift that up and your powder is good to go(thanks Sunny for that tip!)

Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion 15I Soft Iridescent Amber, 10M Natural Matte Honey

There are two finishes in the Make Up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion bronzers-M for Matte, and I for Iridescent. To be honest, it’s hard to tell the difference in finish once blended and applied to the skin as you can see in the swatch.  The iridescent has slightly more visible shimmer, but like barely. These bronzers are my pale cheeks’ DREAM. I can apply them without fear of looking dirty or like I’m trying too hard to look bronzed. I prefer the 15I one, as it’s not as orange on the skin. I use both of them though, even together at the same time! I’ll put 15I on the backs of my cheeks and 10M on my apples. And you know what? NO BLUSH! I KNOW. I like these so much that I find I don’t really need blush when I’m wearing them! Perfect for summer when my natural flushed cheeks like to make their existence known to everyone, haha.  😛

There are some new shades in the Make Up Forever Aqua Matic Pencils($26):

Make Up For Ever Aqua Matic.jpg

Make Up For Ever Aqua Matic

Diamond Light Turquoise D-21 is on the right, and  Matte Black M-11 is on the left.
I reviewed these last year some time HEREand my opinion on them is the same as then. The lovely turquoise has a bit of a patchy application. I think it’s the sparkles that ruin the formula in these pencils. Using it all over the eye is kind of not a good idea, but it makes an awesome, bright summer eyeliner for sure! The matte black is pretty freakin awesome, but again, best used as a liner because who wants matte black eyelids! Although, if you’re using it as a base for powder eyeshadow then go right ahead.  😛   I miss the old formula Make Up Forever had in pencil form that you had to sharpen. These have a built in sharpener on the end, but I do miss being able to use their pencils all over my lid. 🙁

There’s also some new summery shades in the Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouges too!

Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge.jpg

Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge #23 Apricot Pink

I love the Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouges($29), so I was pretty excited to see this pretty Apricot Pink shade added to the collection. I happily applied it to my lips to test out and NOPE. OMG it’s so bad. Patchy, clings to every lip imperfection and feels really tacky. I don’t know man-it’s like the formula on them- at least this shade- has changed? It’s more creamy feeling than what I remember?! Kind of like the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks-that’s what they feel like-at least the OLDER formula of those things because this year, I really liked them. It’s like they exchanged formulas or something! It’s too bad, because this shade is so pretty! I really do hope the formula hasn’t changed on Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouges, otherwise I’ll be clinging onto my little collection with all my might!

Have you picked up anything from the new Make Up Forever Summer launches? I wish they’d come out with more shades in the HD Creme blushes!

I was SO excited for the release of the Make Up Forever Aqua Matic Pencils($25)! My excitement even made the lovely MUFE PR laugh as my email conveyed my excitement really well I think. Lots of !!!!!!!!!!!!!! does that. 😀 I’m a huge fan of Make Up Forever’s Aqua Collection, as they are one of the few things in this makeup world that will last on my unbelievably oily lids. The Aqua Creams have been a staple for me ever since they were released. And I have two of the Make Up Forever Aqua Shadow Pencils I picked up on Boxing Day for a steal and use all the time. They stay put, and that’s what I need.

Make Up Forever Aqua Matic.jpg

Make Up Forever Aqua Matic Iridescent Pop Purple I-90

Make Up Forever Aqua Matic is an eye shadow pencil that is supposed to just glide on and stays put no matter what. The formula contains silica to apply easily onto the eyelid and it won’t transfer. They are highly-pigmented, waterproof, smudge-free and have intense pigmentation. I love that they are a retractable twist-up pencil with a built in sharpener on the end. Makes them easy to travel with!

Swatchy Time!!

 Make Up Forever Aqua Matic.jpg

Make Up Forever Aqua Matic Iridescent Pop Purple I-90

Yup! That’s a pretty purple alrighty! I’d say that the Make Up Forever Aqua Matic is creamier than the Aqua Shadows(the old pencils). You have a bit more time to blend these new ones before they set. But, it’s kind of patchy when you try to blend it(at least this purple one) across the eye. 🙁 I tried a few times to try and get a nice, soft blended smoky purple eye look before I gave up. And then, I had a makeup revelation. You know what Make Up Forever Aqua Matic pencils are PERFECT for?  A really, graphic, mod eye look. And OH BOY do I like that. Bold, graphic 60s eyes should make a comeback I say. Sometimes, I feel like to hell with all that freakin’ blending and blending of powder eyeshadows, brushes, primers…makes me not wanna wear eyeshadows most of the time and truthfully, I don’t. Especially in the summer. But this? So much easier. And I think it’s pretty darn cool looking too.

Ok, eye close-up time. Oh and in case you’re wondering, that mint green liner is NARS Barrow Street Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner, which is kind of a necessity if you wanna channel some 60s Mod looks in my opinion. Check my original review and look HERE.

I’m going to warn you here: If you love perfection, then this kind of look probably isn’t for you. But if you are like me, and enjoy having some fun with makeup, then as Flint Lockwood says:

Join Me.  😀

I love that movie. Still haven’t seen the second one, but this weekend it’s on the Movie Channel so I’m super excited!

Not perfect, but FUN. Sure, you could use some eyeshadow and clean up the edges and make it perfect but pffft…let it go is what I say and tend to do lately. Elsa is right. But, if a strong, bold graphic eye still scares you, then the Make Up Forever Aqua Matic pencils do make a really awesome eyeliner. And oh yeah, they stay put no matter what. They really do! Find them at Sephora now!

Whaddaya think? Do you love wearing a strong, bold graphic eye look? 60s Mod is my FAVOURITE Makeup look of the past. What’s yours? The 40s? 50s? And do you ever wear that look in your everyday makeup?

*product sent by the lovely PR for review, 60s Mod thoughts are mine as always. And boy, do I need to pick up a pea-coat now. Or some go-go boots. White, just like my typing teacher had. Yeah TYPING teacher. In grade nine, I actually had a typing class can you believe it? I AM OLD. But this teacher was MAGNIFICENT. She wore mini skirts, even though she was well passed the age for them. She wore her long, dark hair in this gargantuan bun and right before the bell rang at 3:15pm, she’d zip on these white, leather go-go boots to go home. I often wondered where she went after school… 😀 probably some cage-dancing parties, hey?

I love me a really great waterproof eyeliner, and these new & improved Mark No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliners are fantastic!

And the best part about these Mark No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliners are that they are definitely waterproof! Like under the water, and I tried to rub them off kind of waterproof. THAT’S waterproof to Tracy and how I test all eyeliners that claim to be waterproof. Because if it rubs off after being under water, then DON’T tell me it’s waterproof, ya’ know what I mean? And these? ARE. So YAY to Mark for that!

These came with me to California [emoji sun with face] and MAN it’s been pretty dang hot(UGGH NO LIKEY) here, so I needed an eyeliner that will stay put. These delivered! I tend to wear colourful eyeliners a lot when it’s hot and especially on holidays. I don’t bother putzing around with eyeshadow that’s just going to sweat off. Why waste my time, right? RIGHT.

Mark No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliners are available to order right now on www.avon.ca or from your trusty, local Avon Rep!

How’s it going in Canada, eh? Has it been warm? We’re heading home today actually! It’s been a fun trip, but to be honest I’m glad to be going home. It’s WAY too early to be walking around in 35 C weather for me. The Easter Bunny hasn’t even visited yet for crying out loud! [emoji rabbit face]
