Changing your beauty routine to match the summer months can be time consuming and costly. Fortunately, Walmart is the one-stop shop for affordable beauty! It’s where I shop for the latest beauty products I want to try. Everything is at LEAST $2-$3 cheaper than any other retailer, so when I want to haul, I go to Walmnart that’s for sure! And haul is what I did! Let me show you my Walmart Mid-Summer Beauty Haul!

Walmart Mid-Summer Beauty Haul!

Too many things to really get into, but here are some highlights of a few of the products that I’ve tried and really like!

First up in my Walmart Mid-Summer Beauty Haul is skincare! Yes, I buy skincare at Walmart. There’s a lot of great skincare there!

L’Oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal( $29.96) is the star cream from a new skincare line from L’Oreal Paris that’s formulated to help stimulate surface skin cell renewal. It’s thick, and really moisturizing and so far I’m enjoying it!

Olay Fresh Effects Acne Scrub, L’Oreal Age Perfect Cell Renewal Cream, Equate Skin Treatment Oil

Olay Fresh Effects Acne Scrub($7.97) I really like! With exfoliating microbeads that deep clean to fight blemishes and blackheads and help prevent new ones from forming, this is an awesome drugstore find. I can’t use it every day, but wow after a long walk in the hot, humid weather Edmonton has been having? This is great stuff! Even the hubby loves it too!

And that Equate Skin Treatment Oil($14.97) is REALLY nice! It has Vitamins A & E, and really reminds me of that Bio-oil stuff, but at a much better price point. All I know, is my skin has been really irritated lately. I’m not sure what’s causing it, but it might be walking in the hot, humid weather. Red spots and ITCHY, especially when I’m sweating. This has been really helping my irritated skin!

Olay CC Cream, Covergirl Ready! Set! Gorgeous Foundation Nude Biege #210, and Concealer in light, Garnier BB Eye Roller in light/medium

Garnier BB Eye Roller($15.97)
An all in one dark circle corrector that minimizes puffiness and hydrates, plus helps hide dark circles? Sign me up baby! It has a bit more pigmentation compared to the other roller eye product they had, but maybe this shade is a tad too dark for me. Give it another week though, and I think it’ll be perfect!

Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation( $7.97) and  Concealer( $7.97) are two products that have been on my drugstore beauty radar to try.  Oil-free coverage in an instant that lasts all day? Yup! I likes the sounds of that! So far, they’re not bad! Really clean and fresh feeling on the skin, like most Covergirl bases. I tell ya, Covergirl really has that fresh, clean thing down pat!

I’ve been wanting to try Olay Total Effects Pore Minimizing Cream($23.47) for like EVER. And you know what? I LOVE IT. It really does instantly reduce the look of pores, evens skin tone, brightens, smooths and hydrates. I can get away with wearing this, a bit of concealer and some MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Natural and BAZINGA! Done. It’s not as dewy as say the Garnier BB Cream, so I like it a lot more especially right now in the summer. Yeah, it doesn’t have SPF, but for me that’s not a deal breaker since I like using my own sunscreen anyways. Well worth the money this one is!

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Cannes Crush($12.95) is the perfect coral lippie! If you don’t have this one, and you love coral lips, you really need to get this one!

Swatchy Time!

I’m not going to say too much about this one since they’ve been blogged about to high heaven and straight down to hell too. 😀  Short and sweet Tracy thoughts though? I like! Not as sticky as the YSL lip stains, but not as balmy and long lasting as the Lancome Lip Lovers that I freakin’ adore. These are pretty much half the price of the Lancome ones,  so you can’t beat that!

And for the low price, you really can’t beat the Equate Professional Make-Up Wedges($2.99) and Quilted pads($2)!

These will come in handy when we take that college road trip later this month that’s for sure!

What Walmart Mid-Summer Beauty products have you hauled lately and love? Do you find you’re like me and need to get some new skincare mid-summer too? With the hot, muggy weather here lately I needed to get some things that worked better!

These are some drugstore goodies I’ve been using lately, and I thought I’d share my crazy thoughts on them, because well…that is what I do. And I know you want to hear about the Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream. Read on if you’re curious about that one… [emoji grinning face]

*Olay Fresh Effects Out Of This Swirled Deep Pore Cleanse Exfoliating Scrub($11.99)

Olay Fresh Effects Out Of This Swirled Deep Pore Cleanse Exfoliating Scrub

I love using a multitasking cleanser when I shower! Call me old fashioned, but I loves me a good manual exfoliation. It’s rather satisfying for some reason. Olay Fresh Effects Out Of This Swirled Deep Pore Cleanse Exfoliating Scrub is a cleanser and exfoliator all in one. There’s Grapefruit and green tea extracts in there, but call me crazy- I smell PEACH when I use this? Whatever it is, I likes it! It’s quite a refreshing scent. It’s weird as I don’t mind fruity smells when I wash my face, but I’m not a fan of them when I shower. I wonder why that is? [emoji face with stuck-out tongue] There’s salicylic acid and gentle scrubby exfoliants to dissolve away impurities and any dead skin cells hanging around. It’s especially great to use after a sweaty Zumba workout!  [emoji thumbs up sign] I do think it’s a little on the expensive side, but there’s quite a bit of product for the money. Oh, and that moisturizer? It’s just ok. Nothing to write home about.

Pantene Pro-V Weekly Rehab Creme ($6.99)

Pantene Pro-V Weekly Rehab Creme.jpg

Pantene Pro-V Weekly Rehab Creme

I’ve already told you how much I love hair treatment masks and I picked this one up at Shoppers. Pantene Pro-V Weekly Rehab Creme is a weekly treatment that delivers intense moisture to parched locks like mine. It’s part of their new Detox System, and you can read all about their philosophy on detoxing your hair HERE. It’s an interesting read. This hair treatment seals damaged cuticles, smooths them and makes your hair nice and shiny. There’s something called Mosa Mint Oil which I thought was cool and maybe some kind of new moisturizing oil, but it just adds that minty crispy scent that makes you THINK like you’re doing something good. It’s kind of a small tube, so if you have really long hair, I’m not sure how far this would go. Worth it? Meh, not really. I like the Clear Scalp one I talked about here better.

Jergens BB Body Cream, $11.99

Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream .jpg

Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream

You know, I REALLY wanted to hate this, but I CAN’T! It’s actually pretty good! Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream hydrates, firms, illuminates, evens out, and perfects the skin all over your body. It’s available in two shades, light and medium to deep. I have the light because well, I’m pasty. Here’s a swatch:

Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream.jpg

Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream Light

Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream really gives the prettiest glow to arms and legs you guys! The light version kind of blurs imperfections and gives a healthy, even-toned look to skin. Any discolourations are minimized and my arms look like they haven’t been ravaged by this long, extremely cold winter. I have chicken skin on my arms, and this stuff actually smooths the look and blurs those hideous red dots a bit. They’re not gone,  just toned down which is pretty darn cool. It smells good too-hard to explain-kind of fresh, and body cream-yish haha. Apparently the Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream medium to deep skin version gives skin maximum light reflection to minimize the look of imperfections, so I’m kind of curious about that one now. But, again, I think it’s kind of expensive and I do have a cheaper alternative and I’m betting it’s pretty much the same.

*Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow Illuminating Moisturizer($10, but only $5.99 right now)

Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow Illuminating Moisturizer.jpg

Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow Illuminating Moisturizer

Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow Illuminating Moisturizer has orange flower and coconut, and it’s pretty much the same concept as the Jergens one. It has sheer optical illuminators, sunflower seed oil and a hint of colour and diffuses light to blur the look of imperfections. This one is darker in colour, so if you’re medium or dark skin-toned, it’s better for you. On me, it’s a little too orange.

It’s got WAY more sparkles than the Jergens one too, and feels thicker. It smells strongly floral as you apply, but it does settle down after a few minutes, although I can still smell it even after an hour. Here’s a side by side comparison on my pasty arm:

 photo BBBODYCREAMIMG_0917.jpg

Personally, I prefer the Jergens BB Body Cream as it’s not as sparkly, the texture is thinner and just feels a bit better to me. And it suits my skin tone and isn’t as obvious. But in the summer, when my arms get darker, I’d totally use the Avon one. It’s the one time of year I don’t mind a bit of sparkle. And you can’t beat the price!

I STILL can’t believe I like the BB Body Cream. But it’s times like this when I enjoy blogging: when a product proves my initial PFFFT SURE SURE attitude wrong. So kudos to you Jergens!

Have you tried any of these products? I’m thinking we’ll start seeing more BB Body Creams as summer approaches. SUMMER. It’s SO FREAKING COLD HERE right now HAHA.  And also? Stuff at the drugstore ain’t cheap anymore, hey? Remember when most things there were UNDER $10? Sigh.

*Two of these products were sent to me to review, the other two I bought with my own $$$. But my thoughts and words are mine as always, as my crazy is just too damn hard to control. Ask my husband. He’ll tell ya  [emoji smiling face with horns]
