Ok! Here are the rest of the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick swatches I promised you.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks

And not just swatches- but pics of them on MY FACE. Because I think you SHOULD see lipsticks ON a blogger’s face-not just arm swatches, or just pretty pics of just the lipsticks themselves. THAT’S CALLED ACTUAL BLOGGING FOR THE READERS. Hey, I get it-maybe some bloggers don’t have time…sure, I’m busy too? And it’s a pain in the ass to take full face pics. I get it. And to be honest-I’m getting older and older by the minute and it’s getting nerve-racking to post pics of my aging face here. But I think it’s important to show what a lipstick looks like on my face! I really do! If all I and other readers ever see are just swatches on arms, or just close-ups of your lips(which I used to do too, but if you’ve noticed I don’t anymore because honestly, it really doesn’t tell a reader that much) or just pretty pics of JUST the lipstick? It makes readers wonder if you really do wear and use the makeup! Just sayin’, and being my big-ole’ big mouth can’t keep quiet Tracy as usual  😛 #minirant

MANDATORY-If-You-Call-Yourself-A-Beauty Blogger-Arm-Swatches, right Paris? 😀

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C502, C105, C603, M401, C211, C506

So, C means satin finish, and M means matte. No sheers in the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks, which is ok by me. The satin finishes are super creamy, super comfy, and mildly hydrating even. You already know from yesterday’s post how I feel about the mattes, which is just plain LOVE. The pigment is out of this world on both finishes, and lasting power is pretty awesome-easily a between meals lasting time.

An easy to wear peachy nude! A lip-liner is needed if you have pretty pigmented lips like mine, which I didn’t use here, but when I wear this one you better believe I do.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C211

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C211.jpg

This shade for me is a MLLB shade-it’s pretty close to my natural lip shade and I love it. An every-day, no fuss, wear everywhere shade.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M401

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M401.jpg

Gorgeous bright, matte red that everyone needs in their lipstick wardrobe! Love it lots!

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C506

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C506.jpg

Gorgeous plum berry shade that’s very on trend right now. I love it, but I think I’d prefer this kind of a shade to be a matte, as it would be less of a fuss to deal with while wearing. But, that’s me and my personal preference speaking there. And then again, that sheen (。•̀ᴗ-)✧  on this shade is GORGEOUS.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C502

Make Up For Ever calls this one Taupe-Violet, but I kind of think it’s more of a greyed-violet. Not an easy to wear shade, especially when you’re almost 50! Again, a lip liner or a concealer should be used to block out your lip pigment when you wear a shade like this. I do appreciate this shade is a cream though, as a matte might have made it settle into lip lines. Although, I do think that this brilliant new formula could have handled this greyed-violet in a matte.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C603

This shade is called Midnight Blue by Icona Pop and it’s a LE shade, so if it’s something that speaks to you, better get it quick!

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C603.jpg

I used to love shades like this! And I still do, but this is a little too warm for my skin tone, and in all honesty, it should have been a matte. It’s too fussy for my liking, and I prefer blotting it down if I venture to wear this shade out. I haven’t yet, as all I’ve done lately is go to zumba or shopping for Christmas stuff. But if I had a party to go to? I’d try and rock it. Why not? It’s only makeup, and it’s meant to be FUN. This shade with icy silvery eyes and some gorgeous navy too would look BEAUTIFUL.

There you go! So, any of these shades appeal to you? I love the formula, and think getting one in a shade that’s perfect for you is worth the $27 CAD.

And, do you agree? Do you like seeing lipsticks on a face as well?

You all must know by now that Make Up For Ever reformulated their Artist Rouge Lipsticks. I’m a little late to the lipstick party here, but PFFT-does that really matter? Maybe, but I’m gonna revive that lipstick party train for ya’ll just before you need a Christmas Party lipstick!

DANG…these are some NICE lipsticks you guys. You need a lipstick that’s as perfect as Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204 is for me! And I know you can find one because there are like fifty-something shades that range from the avant-garde to the just plain beautiful.

To refresh our makeup-obsessed minds, Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks now pack 25% more pigment than before and yeah, these are one swipers. SO PIGMENTED. But yet, they feel so light on the lips as to opposed say a NARS Audacious lipstick. Those are a heavier formula for sure. Make Up For Ever feels better on the lips, easier to wear, hydrating-even the mattes like my shade here. The mattes go on with a velvety finish at first and dry down more matte after some wear time. I like that. Kind of eases you into that whole matte feeling.

Isn’t she a BEAUTY?!!! I loves me a fresh tube of lipstick. It’s one of my favourite things, and it doesn’t have to be wrapped up in brown paper packaging and strings either….   😛

Swatchy Time!

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204 is a perfect, bright shade of pinky-red that just perks up my face! Raspberry Pink Make Up Forever calls it! It gives me life! And makes me look a WHOLE lot younger. Pinky reds like this one take 10 years off my face I swear.

wearing Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204

I love these new Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks! I have a few other shades as well-let me know if you’d like to see some of them and I’ll oblige of course. The satin finishes are just as lovely as the mattes. But, if you are looking for a party-perfect matte lipstick? I say look at these, particularly the shade M501 which is a Plum Violet. I’m getting that one next, and I think it’d be PERFECT for Christmas and winter!

What shade of lipstick makes you look younger? You need to find that ONE shade, and when you do-you will know!

NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils($28) are my favourite matte lipstick in pencil form hands down! If you are looking for an easy to apply, comfortable, and long-wearing matte lipstick then you should try one! And with the Sephora Spring Sale next week, it’s a perfect time to get one! Or two! 😉

Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils and Blur Pencil

Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils and Blur Pencil.jpg

Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils and Blur Pencil

NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils are a long-wearing matte formula that is waterproof, smudge-proof, soft, and non-feathering for up to six hours. I like how the company doesn’t make some ridiculous wear time claim like others do. If I don’t eat anything, I bet these would stay put for 6 hours , but hey-who can do that? Not this chubby girl haha! They aren’t transfer proof, but they wear off nicely and evenly. They aren’t weightless on the lips either as I can tell that I’m wearing a lipstick when wearing them, but I don’t mind that. I’m pretty sure almost every matte I can feel on my lips. I have touchy lips, ok?  😛

Swatchy Time!

Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils Belle and Royal.jpg

Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils Belle and Royal

Belle is a pretty perfect plum nude. It’s actually pretty much the colour of my natural lips, so it’s the perfect nude for me. It also makes a lovely nude cheek shade and that’s what I’m wearing on my cheeks actually. What I do is draw some of the colour onto two fingers and then tap away. I find that the easiest way to use and blend them.

Royal is a classic bold red that is really red! This is a power red! It actually reminds me of MAC Russian Red, but way more comfortable to wear.

I really like these a lot! They’re just so easy to wear and carry in my purse. The little containers are awesome so you can have your pencils protected along with the sharpener they come with. Plus, there’s a mirror too. But if you’re a NUDESTIX fan like me, you probably have a few of these little metal cases around. I kind of wish that maybe they’d have the option of buying just the pencils separately, as well as the sharpeners. That might make the line a tad more affordable for some. Just a thought NUDESSTIX!  😉

Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils Belle and Royal and Blur Pencil

The NUDESTIX Blur Pencil is infused with dehydrated hyaluronic acid spheres that swell up with water in the skin, and quickly fill in lines while hydrating. This works amazingly well as a lip primer you guys! It helps make your lips look smooth, and keeps lipstick from feathering. It also helps make any matte lipstick more comfy as well. I also use it between my brows to fill in that pesky wrinkle that wants to show itself to the world. It’s where you get that number 11 wrinkle, but I only have a number 1 that’s faintly there, and I like to keep it faintly there haha! This helps hide it for sure! Love it.

What’s your favourite matte lipstick formula? These are pretty high up on my list! Yeah, I have a list hahaha. Maybe I should tell you about that list!

The Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipstick($45) case is something else. Almost too much. Probably too much. I have no idea what Dior is going for in the design…but you go Dior. Do your thang. I guess these look like some previous holiday lipstick cases, of which I have not had the pleasure/shock to have seen before, so… if you love the look of these right off the bat? I’m a bit scared of you to be honest…. 😛

But hey…it’s the inside…the lipstick that counts, right? RIGHT.

Pretty yeah? Let’s get some Swatchy Time going on!

These Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks aren’t your old school matte lipsticks, nope, NOPE. But, seriously- who makes those anymore? I think pretty much every makeup brand in the universe and beyond has reformulated their matte lipstick formula into something they like to call a matte…but it’s not completely matte. At least not when you first apply them. Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks have a subtle something something to them…a bit of a glow? Yeah let’s say a glow. At first. After a bit of wear time, the finish does look more matte on the lips. It’s a bit sheerer, and way lighter feeling than other matte lipsticks I’ve tried, and I like that. And there’s apparently three oils to keep lips comfortable whilst wearing them. And I wish I kept the boxes to tell you what they are, but dang it…I threw those out as fast as you can say WHO NEEDS THE BOX. #badbeautyblogger

Here’s what they look like on my lips and face though!

Radieuse is a pretty, peachy nude. Anybody can wear this one I think!

Fascinante is an every day rosy MLBB shade.

Fantastique is a warm, hot pink that’s pretty wearable as far as hot pinks go!

And my fave, Fabuleuse which is a pink-based red that’s oh so fabulous   😛

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold #750 Fabuleuse

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold are comfortable mattes, that wear beautifully without feeling drying at all. They can last a good 5 hours even with sipping water, which is impressive. Yeah, they be some expensive lipsticks, that’s for sure. But one of these is a well deserved Holiday Treat I say…you’ll use it and get loads of compliments every time you wear it. Oh, they do have that classic Dior Lipstick scent though….which I wish they’d drop already because who CARES Dior….move on with your lipstick scent…and I mean just drop it already. It’s not classy anymore, it’s just…old school.

I say pick up one! Especially if you love matte lipsticks. You’ll love the formula for sure. Find them on Dior counters in Canada by October 15th.

So many matte lipstick formulas this year…and good ones too! But so…expensive? Lipstick prices sure aren’t what they used to be.  🙁

What’s YOUR favourite matte lipstick formula?

I’m sure you’ve noticed Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks($27) at the drugstore and have thought-ya, no, not trying one of those, because it’s probably really drying like MOST liquid lipsticks I’ve tried before….

You’d be WRONG in that assumption my friend. Get yer butt back to Shoppers Drug Mart and buy one! Or two…or three Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks! Because honestly I don’t know how you are going to choose just one. Every shade is just so lovely! Check out the #MyKissStory hashtag on Instagram and tell me I’m wrong!

Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks

Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks are pigment-rich yet light, creamy liquid lipsticks with a matte finish. The applicator is amazing too. It’s a flexible doe-foot that allows for a pretty precise application, which is what you need with this kind of formula.

Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipstick.jpg

Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks

It’s surprisingly easy to cover your lips with this applicator. And this formula isn’t like those old-fashioned liquid lipsticks of the past where you need to apply and wait a minute for the stuff to dry before going back to fix any application mistakes. Not like that at all. I’ll explain why in a second, but first! Swatchy Time of the three shades I have to show you:

Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipstick.jpg

Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks Swatches Sweet Kiss, Love Kiss, and Eternal Kiss

See how creamy they are? And that texture is what makes these really different from past liquid lipsticks. Those old fashioned ones were FULL of alcohol and thinner in texture. These are not like that at all. You can apply and they won’t cake up or dry out your lips at all.

The formula of Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipstick is really amazing. It’s so light, and creamy! Almost like a lip mousse! They feel so incredibly comfortable on the lips, and stay comfy all day long too, unlike other similar products. Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks are SO MUCH BETTER than any other matte liquid lipstick out there. These are matte liquid lipstick PERFECTION. Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipsticks last all day on my lips (if I don’t eat), but the best part? I forget I’m even wearing it!  Yup. And that? Is what makes this long-wearing, matte liquid lipstick THE BEST ONE EVER.

I actually have an event to attend tonight! My first blogger event ever! And I was going to wear one of my true love lipsticks, the NARS Audacious….but I’m thinking I’m going to wear Lise Watier Baiser Velours Velvet Liquid Lipstick Love Kiss instead because it’ll look good and stay put no matter what! Who needs to worry about lipstick when you’re schmoozing, right?

Do you like long-wearing lipsticks? What’s your favourite?
