If you love a bright lip, then these MUFE Acrylips are for you!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip

I’m all about bright lipstick these days, so I’m loving the new MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip($29).

These new lippies from Make Up For Ever are inspired by the intense pigment that acrylic paints have. And if you’ve ever painted with acrylics, then you’ll totally get what they mean. These are probably some of the brightest and most intensely pigmented lipsticks I’ve ever tried. Make Up For Ever isn’t fooling around with these babies.

The Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip has a cushion applicator that releases product as you squeeze the tube. BE CAREFUL. Don’t go hulk squeezing the tubes! See how much I squeezed out there? That’s all you need to cover your lips. That’s it. I think they’re pretty easy to apply too. Easy enough to get my cupid’s bow defined.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip .jpg

These are supposed to have the ease of applying a gloss, yet give you the look of a lipstick. Sure. Sort of. Except you don’t have to be as careful with a gloss. Well, I guess it all depends on how pigmented the gloss is haha. Like I said these are super pigmented and the more you apply, the brighter and bolder your lips will look.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip 1.jpg

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip 201, 202, 500

The formula is lovely! Non-sticky and non-drying, Acrylips feel pretty weightless on my lips. These are comfy and feel good! But remember-they don’t completely dry down and do move around. So if you smoosh your lips together, the colour will move. Which is why I say less is more with these. A little bit of MUFE Acrylip just melts right into your lips and looks amazing.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip #202 is a bright Coral Pink.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip #500 is a bright vivid lilac.

And my fave is MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip #201, a Fuchsia Pink.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Acrylip #201.jpg

They last on the lips as long as a normal lipstick does, which for me is around 4 hours. They aren’t transfer-proof though, so it all depends on what you do with your lips while wearing these HAHA. They do fade to a stain, which I love. I like them!

Worth getting one in a bright fun colour I say! One of these will definitely brighten up your winter!

Wow, we’re in the middle of January already! Sorry I’ve been MIA, but after the New Year we went to California with Marky, and then of course I caught a nasty head cold and have been sick the past week. But I’m back! And got lots more to share I promise!

You all must know by now that Make Up For Ever reformulated their Artist Rouge Lipsticks. I’m a little late to the lipstick party here, but PFFT-does that really matter? Maybe, but I’m gonna revive that lipstick party train for ya’ll just before you need a Christmas Party lipstick!

DANG…these are some NICE lipsticks you guys. You need a lipstick that’s as perfect as Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204 is for me! And I know you can find one because there are like fifty-something shades that range from the avant-garde to the just plain beautiful.

To refresh our makeup-obsessed minds, Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks now pack 25% more pigment than before and yeah, these are one swipers. SO PIGMENTED. But yet, they feel so light on the lips as to opposed say a NARS Audacious lipstick. Those are a heavier formula for sure. Make Up For Ever feels better on the lips, easier to wear, hydrating-even the mattes like my shade here. The mattes go on with a velvety finish at first and dry down more matte after some wear time. I like that. Kind of eases you into that whole matte feeling.

Isn’t she a BEAUTY?!!! I loves me a fresh tube of lipstick. It’s one of my favourite things, and it doesn’t have to be wrapped up in brown paper packaging and strings either….   😛

Swatchy Time!

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204 is a perfect, bright shade of pinky-red that just perks up my face! Raspberry Pink Make Up Forever calls it! It gives me life! And makes me look a WHOLE lot younger. Pinky reds like this one take 10 years off my face I swear.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204.jpg

wearing Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M204

I love these new Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks! I have a few other shades as well-let me know if you’d like to see some of them and I’ll oblige of course. The satin finishes are just as lovely as the mattes. But, if you are looking for a party-perfect matte lipstick? I say look at these, particularly the shade M501 which is a Plum Violet. I’m getting that one next, and I think it’d be PERFECT for Christmas and winter!

What shade of lipstick makes you look younger? You need to find that ONE shade, and when you do-you will know!

MAKE UP FOR EVER joined forces with pop star Charli XCX to create this collection of Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners($25). I am old, so forgive me, but I have NO IDEA who she is HAHA. I don’t listen to the radio a lot, so the only time I might get to listen to a new song is at Zumba. But hey, if she likes bold colour on her eyes, then she’s gotta be cool-right?

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners

I was gobsmacked when the whole collection of Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners showed up at my door. I didn’t expect that at all! I’m not one of the bigger and more popular bloggers around, but I guess Make Up For Ever must like me. Who knew? And I like them! And they are one makeup brand that appreciates honest reviews and feedback about their products. I’ve never felt like I couldn’t tell it like I saw it when I reviewed their stuff, and when I have given a less than a stellar review, the lovely PR has thanked me for my honesty. I admire that! And that’s why they’re the longest PR relationship I’ve had with a brand since I’ve started blogging. And hopefully it continues for a very long time-fingers crossed!

Now, let’s start this review with the fact that I am totally an eyeliner gal-like pencil eyeliner-I don’t do liquid eyeliner, or any other kind of fancy eyeliner crap. I am pretty old-fashioned when it comes to eyeliner, and much prefer the ease of a sharp pencil that I can smudge if I want, use on my waterline if I want, or flick it up if I want. But what I ALSO want is a pencil eyeliner that won’t smudge, fade, disappear. Oh, and I also want them to come in every fricken colour I’m lemming that day.

THESE ARE WHAT I WANT.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners.jpg

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners

The Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners come in different finishes-matte, iridescent, diamond, metallic and satiny. What I did find is that the more sparkle they have, the softer the pencil is. The metallics are REALLY soft, so be careful with them otherwise they can break rather easily. The others I had no problem with.

I’m going to let the pictures of the shades speak for themselves, and by all means click on them to enlarge so you can see better. Oh, and my swatches are the names of the individual eye liners. It was just easier to do it this way.

And the pastels, which are all matte:

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners.jpg

The mattes are STELLAR on the waterline…on me, they lasted well into 8 hours without fading and that’s amazing. I didn’t try the others-I tend to not use eyeliners with any kind of sparkles in my waterline, sorry. I have sensitive eyes you guys, and I can’t take glitter in my eyes. It takes DAYS for my eyes to recover from that so I just don’t do it anymore.

But, on just my eyelids, all of them work AMAZINGLY well. They stay put no matter what! There’s not much time to smudge if that’s what you like, so you gotta work fast. It’s enough time for me, so it’s all cool for you too. Once they set, they SET. You will need a waterproof eye makeup remover to take them off. And may I suggest the MUFE Sens’Eyes – Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser-it’s my fave and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. I think it deserves a separate review though, so stay tuned for that!

I love these eyeliners and use them all the time…when I DO wear makeup. Because to be honest, I don’t wear a lot of makeup these days. Eyeshadows for sure I rarely use, but if I feel like adding a bit of colour to my eyes, these Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners are what I use and love. Just so easy! This is how you do colour on your eyes if you are an aging beauty junkie like I am! Eyeliners give that subtle pop of colour that won’t make you look crazy and like you are trying too hard. Yeah, that’s a thing that happens when you are getting older. It’s not right and I don’t agree with it at all. But, these eyeliners make it so much easier to be YOU, to express yourself still, even though the world tells you that you are TOO OLD to wear pastel pink on your eyes. SCREW THE MAN you guys, and get one of these eyeliners in a shade that is outside your office comfort zone!  And wear it! WITH PRIDE.

What kind of eyeliner girl are you? Pencil? Pen? Gel? And, do you do COLOURS like these?

I almost, ALMOST bought another Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip($32) today at the mall because DUDES. These are so GOOD. The only thing that stopped me was the hubby wanting a Tom Ford fragrance because of the discount. Otherwise the shade #10 Rosewood would have come home with me today…and it still might find it’s way into my online shopping cart tonight because I love this formula. A LOT.

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip

It’s not like this is a new idea, let’s get real. Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip is a dual-ended lipstick that aims to create the illusion of a fuller looking lip using an iridescent powder-to-cream highlighter. You just tap that highlighter on your bottom lip and Bazinga! Fuller, younger looking lips are yours. And it’s not like you can’t do this already with any shimmery eyeshadow you got in your collection, because you totally could. It’s not the highlighter that I love so much, but the formula of the lipstick is the star here, and that’s what has me wanting MORE of them!

Swatchy Time!

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Redjpg

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red is GORGEOUS. It’s a classic red that anyone can pull off. The formula, like I said, is SUPERB. It’s opaque in one swipe, and the shape of the pencil makes it the easiest application ever. It just fits yours lips pretty perfectly!

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red.jpg

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red

It’s semi-matte I say, and dries down to a matte that is SO COMFY to wear, and that’s because it’s infused with oil. For me, this is one of the best lipstick formulas I’ve tried in ages! It doesn’t feather at all, and lasts comfortably until my chubby tummy decides it’s time to eat, which is pretty much at the 4-5 hour mark. I’m kind of hoping that MUFE decides to make a lipstick line without the highlighter some day in loads of shades, because they really should! The highlighter adds a pretty highlight as you can see, but to be honest, I can do without it. MAKE. MORE. LIPSTICK. SHADES….Please?!

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red.jpg

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip #40 Carmine Red

Yeah, it’s a bit pricey for a lipstick I agree. But Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip is worth it I swear. Cross my heart, and hope to NEVER say “Contouring my Lips” because… NO. Not going to go there MUFE. Sorry HAHAHA!

Lots of nice new things from MUFE this spring! I see they have some new pink lipstick/gloss/balm things too that I kind of want to try out! So many lipsticks, so little time! Did you get a new lipstick during the Sephora Spring Sale?

Contouring. It’s something you just can’t avoid these days if you love makeup. If you say you don’t contour, other makeup lovers give you the SIDE-EYE-EVIL-EYE…like you’re some kind of FREAK. Which I am but that’s beside the point.  😛   I’m here to tell you that I DON’T and DID NOT contour in the past because WHY. Contouring is for photos and stage and things like that where it WORKS…but in real life? It’s so OBVIOUS. And I’m not about to walk around pretending that some powders are gonna make me or you think my chubby face is slimmer because HEY. Let’s get real man…. pics are one thing, but in real life? Contouring looks like…CONTOURING.

I’ve tried other powder contouring products like the one by Marc Jacobs(it’s OK) and the Kat Von D one(again, it’s ok? but there’s like ONE shade that works for pale ass me, so WTF is the point of that). I gave up on them quickly because in every day life, who got time for dat? You gotta blend, blend, BLEND, because who wants to look like they have a beard? Yeah, BEARD. I have a double chin so if I’m gonna contour, that’s what I’m gonna contour ok? And if you don’t blend enough, BEARD CITY. Tracy hates beard city. That’s why I use Tinkle Razors, remember? 😀 😀

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette Light

SO…when the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette in #20 Light showed up, I kind of scoffed at it. Kind of late to the contour game Make Up For Ever, no? Where were you last year when everyone came out with contour palettes? Kind of missed the mark there maybe, hey?

HECK. SO. WRONG. SO. SO. WRONG. This is the BEST contouring palette I’ve come across to this date. And now I get why Make Up For Ever took so long to jump on the contour bandwagon.

THEY WANTED TO DO IT RIGHT. AND THEY DID.

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette.jpg

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette Light

This is the light shade, and if you are like me-NC10 NC15, maybe even NC20 in MAC talk I think this one would still work for you-then this palette is PERFECTION. The colours are spot on perfect and not too warm like most contour products out there.  The formula is to die for. It’s the same formula of the Ultra HD Cream Blushes which I adore…and I have multiple shades of those and love them a lot. No other cream formula I’ve tried in blush form is so SKIN LIKE. They blend into your skin so seamlessly and just look like they were born there. And that’s exactly what this Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette looks like on your skin; like you were BORN with that sculpted jawline, cheekbones, Roman nose…it’s so AWESOME. It’s not often I apply a product onto my skin and make a WHOA noise. I did just that when I applied the contour shade under my  cheekbones: WHOA BABY.

What I love about the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette is that this is an all inclusive contour palette-you get a matte and a shimmer highlight, a contour shade, and a blush! It’s all you need for perfectly sculpted cheeks. Seriously.

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette.jpg

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette in Light

The Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette blends so beautifully and so effortlessly. The coral cheek colour is lovely. Both highlights are amazing. I just can’t get enough of this palette! It’s SO good. It comes in 4 shades, so there is one that’s perfect for every skin tone.

If you’ve hesitated about getting a contour palette because you didn’t know how to use it, then DUDE. Get this one. It blends by itself. It really does. Worth every penny! And the Sephora Spring Sale starts this week, so it’s the perfect time to pick this up! You won’t regret it!

 Do you contour every day?

Ready for another Tracy Rant?

I have aging skin and eyes, so I’m not into the whole LOADING UP MY UNDER EYE AREA WITH TONS OF CONCEALER look that seems to be the norm these days. Nope. If you are older like I am, doing all that heavy concealing under your eyes is makeup SUICIDE. Heck, I think it’s not good to do if you are young too. I don’t know why everyone is so obsessed with having perfect under eye skin these days?! I understand wanting to brighten and lighten to look more awake, but making that area look uniform in colour is obscene in my eyes. All that concealing and baking powder is a recipe for making you look older. I don’t get it at ALL. And sorry, don’t try to convince me otherwise.

Ok, Tracy rant over for today…let’s focus. Make Up For Ever has come out with the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer to correct and conceal “for instant under eye perfection.” See, that’s my problem with a lot of makeup these days-the whole notion of PERFECTION. Sigh.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer.jpg

Make Up Forever Ultra HD Concealer

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer($32) comes in R shades to colour correct and neutralize dark circles with a peach shade. Y shades conceal mainly, yet brighten and awaken the undereye area. They be yellow I’m guessing from the Y hahahaha. 😛 Also this concealer is supposed to support collagen(sure it does lol), fill and smooth fine lines, and prevent moisture loss with hyaluronic spheres.

I have the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer in shade R20 that’s for Light Skin tones, and HOOWEE this is BRIGHT and LIGHT.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer.jpg

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer R20

I know it doesn’t look like it in that swatch, but trust me it’s light and bright! Too light and bright for me, and dudes I’m a soild NC15 right now in MAC talk. I wouldn’t order one of these sight unseen if I were you. I think you need to see the shades in person because they run lighter than you think.

 photo IMG_0439.jpg

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer.jpg

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer R20

It seems like it’d be a great, creamy concealer, and it looks pretty pigmented when you swatch it. It’s creamier but not as pigmented as NARS Radiant Creamier Concealer, but not as creamy as the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Concealer. I think it does brighten up my under eye area, but that’s about it. This is not a high coverage concealer at all. For me, this is ok as I don’t seek perfection, but if you want more coverage, I think you’d need to get the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer in the corresponding Y shade to get more coverage. I got better coverage when I added a dab of the Urban Decay Concealer which runs yellow, so I’m just assuming the same result would happen if you used one of the Y shades here. Also, even though my swatch of the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer looks creamy, I find it rather drying. But again I am older and am pretty dry lately under my eyes. If you have fine lines and wrinkles, you can be sure this concealer will find them. Look at the left eye in the after pic and you can see my fine lines are more prominent. A powder helps if you want it to not crease and last longer, but I personally do not like doing that since that just makes me look older and wrinkly. Now, maybe I’d have liked this better if I had the next shade up, and that could be. But I won’t be springing for it any time soon. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer is just meh, ok for me.

Sorry dudes! I know I’m probably in the minority here with this review and that everybody loves it. I just don’t see the big deal. There are other concealers that work better for me and my dry skin, and I’ll be sticking to those. This one might work better if you have oily or combination skin.

Have you tried this concealer? Disagree with me? Let us know if it works for you! It’s good to hear from other skin types and what they think of a product, since I can only vouch for how something works on me. Also, what’s your favourite under eye concealer?

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation ($50) was developed specifically for the film and TV industry’s most advanced technology, and is completely invisible under the latest, super-focused 4k lens..which is cool and all? But I’m not in front of a camera here in #YEG all day long…so what does that mean for the rest of us MUFE? Those of us who just live in real life?  😉 #LifeIsHighDefDude

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation.jpg

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation COLOR 117 Y225

Stick foundations aren’t usually something that I think of as giving a natural looking makeup look. That’s why they’re mainly used for TV and film. Those cameras are pretty unforgiving, and coverage is needed! But, MUFE has changed my mind for sure with this stuff. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is a traditional twist-up foundation stick that gives a sheer, to medium, to FULL coverage…yeah that’s right…you can get whatever coverage you want from this stuff. It all depends on your application and tools. But! BUT: it’s lightweight, which is unlike any other stick foundation I’ve ever tried. #talkingtoYouBobbiBrown  MUFE Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation looks just like skin, leaving a natural, radiant finish that just makes you look BETTER than YOU. #LifeIsHighDefDude

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation.jpg

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation COLOR 117 Y225

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is formulated with hyaluronic spheres for time-released hydration that is perfect for normal to dry skin. If you are combination to oily, I think you’d need to use an oil control primer as well as a good setting powder to make it last. I have dehydrated, aging skin, that does get a tiny bit oily in the T-Zone, and even I have to set it with something like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders to make sure it stays put all day.

This foundation covers redness, uneven skin tone and gives skin a healthy, natural-looking appearance, and doesn’t settle into fine lines at all. It doesn’t accentuate any of my dry flakes either, especially if applied with a wet Beauty Blender, which is my preferred weapon of face maquillage-ation these days.   😉

I’m not a fan of heavy, full coverage foundations as you know, so for me, one coat of this stuff is plenty enough.

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation_3.jpg

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation COLOR 117 Y225

But like I said, you could go to full coverage town easy with this stuff if that’s what you want! For me, this is enough and I like it! It looks like MY skin, just less red, more even toned…and a bit better.

I do have to set it with some kind of finishing powder, and when I do it lasts a nice 8 hours on my drier skin. This is the lightest yellow-based shade though-117 Y225 which I’d say is NC20.  If you are cool-toned, there is a pinker shade so don’t worry. But if you are really pale, look into the liquid version because HOO BOY there’s a pale one that’s PALE..even too pale for me! You can sort of see it in the swatchy time photo up there #ghostlyghostfoundationhues

Perfect for travel for sure! For spot concealing! For a light coverage! For a FULL coverage if that’s what you want! I don’t really see much wrong with this new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation to be honest, except maybe the lasting power which is about 8 hours of wear. A primer would definitely help prolong that though. It’s a great foundation for the colder months ahead, especially if your skin is on the drier side.

I promise to review the liquid new HD foundation soon… <3

HUGZ,

Are you a stick foundation fan? I know a lot of people are!
