Mary Kay At Play has come out with two genius double-tasking makeup products to help you get ready and beautiful in a flash! Because seriously, who wants to spend tons of time doing your makeup in the summer? Summer is short up here in Canada! We need to enjoy as much of it as we can before it disappears!

Mary Kay At Play Shadow & Liners($15)

Mary Kay At Play Shadow & Liners are portable, multi-tasking eyeshadow pencils and eyeliners in one!

They are a nice and creamy formula with a pretty pearlized finish that blends easily. And they are fade and smudge-proof too. I have oily lids, so I need a primer first to make sure they stay put. And they do! Love them! The colours are so pretty and mixing and matching them is so much fun! As I get older, I much prefer cream eyeshadows over powder, as they stay put and don’t irritate my eyes. I really like these Mary Kay At Play Shadow & Liners! Depending on the shade, the liners can be a bit waxy, but they still seem to work quite well for me.

Mary Kay At Play Lip & Cheek Sticks($12)

Another portable multitasking that’ll give you gorgeous glowy cheeks and matching lips! They have a soft, creamy texture and WOW are they pigmented! These are one pass swatches you guys!

Here’s a quick colourful makeup look I created that’s perfect for any summer event/activity you got going this summer. First of course, apply your favourite makeup base. I’d suggest the Mary Kay CC Cream Complexion Corrector Cream Sunscreen SPF 15. Check out my review from last year by clicking HERE.

Then, take the Mary Kay At Play Shadow & Liner in Mint To Be and apply the eyeshadow side all over the lid and use your finger to blend it out(or a brush if you wish, but honestly fingers are quick and work so well with the product). The colour is buildable too, so keep on layering until you get the intensity you want.

Line your upper lash line with the dark green liner too!

Then take the Mary Kay At Play Shadow Liner in Iced Lilac, and use the liner side to line your bottom lash line. Smudge it out with another finger, or a brush if you prefer. Then take the lilac shadow and apply it to your inner eye for a pretty purple glow! Add some mascara and fill in your brows, and your eyes are done!

Then take Mary Kay At Play Lip & Cheek Stick in Peach Pop and apply the gorgeous shade onto your cheeks.

Mary Kay At Play Lip & Cheek Sticks-Use a Stippling Brush to apply! Look how much product is on the brush-seriously pigmented!

You can use your fingers to apply and blend if you wish, but because these blushes are so pigmented, I do suggest a brush this time. A stippling brush would be perfect! Just dab your brush onto the stick, and PLEASE, dab the excess off on the back of your hand first BEFORE going to your cheeks! Otherwise you’ll get clown cheeks! As for lasting power, on me I get a good 6 hours of wear time before I notice fading stating to happen, so that’s pretty great for a cream cheek product if you ask me.

Mary Kay At Play Lip & Cheek Stick Peach Pop on the lips

Then dab a bit of Peach Pop onto your lips and you’re ready to go! And I’m surprised at how comfortable the Mary Kay At Play Lip & Cheek Sticks are on the lips! Usually cheek products that claim to also be lip products are so drying on the lips, but these aren’t. So comfortable and pretty! They dry down to a pretty, matte finish that lasts quite well too.

And Bazinga! You are done! Now go have fun at that BBQ, or wedding, or fair, or farmer’s market, or whatever else you’re doing this summer! And look gorgeous doing it thanks to Mary Kay At Play!

Come summer, I love using easy to use, multi-tasking cream products like this! I hate spending too much time on my makeup and wasting good sunlight. What are some of your favourite multi-tasking makeup products?

I”ve been an extremely lazy beauty blogger when it comes to eye makeup lately. There are multiple reasons why, but honestly? It’s just that I don’t really want to bother blending and blending and blending eyeshadows all the morning long.

It’s awards season in Hollywood, so all the stops come out for makeup looks at this time of year. But this is one that caught my eye:

Emma Stone has hooded eyes, just like me, so when I saw this winged eyeshadow look, I loved it! I love a cat-eye as much as the next beauty junkie, but when you have hooded eyes, or more like hooded eyes that are uneven like mine? It’s REALLY difficult to do every day. But this eyeshadow look is genius for us hooded eye gals! It still gives that lift to the eye that we need, but it’s so much easier to do than faffing around with liquid liner.

Ever since that Sunday, when I do wear eyeshadows now(which is rarely btw), this is how I’ve been doing it! It’s so much easier I tell you. Not a lot of blending since it quite a graphic look, and I can’t tell you how happy that makes me haha! This is FAST. All you do is sketch it out with your eyeshadow and fill it in. Simple. And as you can see it works for daytime looks as well as that night time look Emma is wearing. Just add some eyeliner to your waterline and darker, smokier eyeshadows for some drama and BOOM. You are done! And if you love and use eyeshadow pencils? Then doing this look is even easier my friends. Try it! And I see the Pixiwoo girls on Youtube have also done a look based off of this, although I think my way is a bit easier LOL. They still do a lot of blending, blending, blending…:P talk about making something harder than it really needs to be…which is why I kinda’ avoid YT lately, unless it’s Lisa Eldridge. 😀

The new(well, not so new-like a couple months new now LOL) MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liner is a twist up, gliding eye pencil that I like to use for my other favourite eye look. Well, probably my MOST favourite and worn eye look!

So creamy and really blendable! And that’s what I look for in an eyeliner lately as I am getting older and older! The less tugging at my eyes, the better. I take these MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liners and apply them to my bottom and top lash lines and smudge, smudge, smudge baby.  BAZINGA! Eye look done.

This simple eyeliner look is exactly what I need to give my eyes some definition behind my new, big glasses. That’s why it’s my favourite all time eye look lately. That, and it stays PUT, even through hot flashes. I’m telling ya, if a really blazing inferno of a hot flash happens, makeup MOOOOOOVES. These MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Liners don’t! Love ’em.

Have you tried a new makeup look recently? Do you have a favourite, easy eye makeup look? What is it?

Mark No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliners($10) are so SMOOVE! They just glide like buttah I swear. And they are really pigmented too! What more can you want in an eyeliner? What’s that you say? How about waterproof ? YOU GOT IT BABE.

Swatchy Time!

And the best part about these Mark No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliners are that they are definitely waterproof! Like under the water, and I tried to rub them off kind of waterproof. THAT’S waterproof to Tracy and how I test all eyeliners that claim to be waterproof. Because if it rubs off after being under water, then DON’T tell me it’s waterproof, ya’ know what I mean? And these? ARE. So YAY to Mark for that!

These came with me to California [emoji sun with face] and MAN it’s been pretty dang hot(UGGH NO LIKEY) here, so I needed an eyeliner that will stay put. These delivered! I tend to wear colourful eyeliners a lot when it’s hot and especially on holidays. I don’t bother putzing around with eyeshadow that’s just going to sweat off. Why waste my time, right? RIGHT.

Mark No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliners are available to order right now on www.avon.ca or from your trusty, local Avon Rep!

How’s it going in Canada, eh? Has it been warm? We’re heading home today actually! It’s been a fun trip, but to be honest I’m glad to be going home. It’s WAY too early to be walking around in 35 C weather for me. The Easter Bunny hasn’t even visited yet for crying out loud! [emoji rabbit face]

Time for some Avon I think, hey? I feel like I haven’t posted much from them lately, but their holiday stuff is starting to roll out too. Avon has two fun products that are available to order this month!

Avon Glimmersticks Dual Ended Eye Liner and Eye Cream Swirls

I love the Avon Glimmersticks eyeliners, so no surprise that I think that these Avon Glimmersticks Dual Ended Eye Liners($9.99 CDN) are freakin’ amazing.

Avon Glimmersticks Dual Ended Eye Liner

They’re twist up and self-sharpening too so yay! Avon Glimmersticks Dual Ended Eye Liners are available in five shade duos and I have three to show you!

Avon Glimmersticks Dual Ended Eye Liner swatches from left to right: The Classic: Black/Brown Chocolate
Flash Dance: Gold/Bronze
Modern Romance: Black/Smoky Grey

What’s great about these is that you can use one shade on your upper lash line, one on the bottom lash line, use them both together to create an ombre look-it’s GENIUS. If I had to choose a product that Avon does really well, it’s their eyeliners. Pretty much all of the ones I try are great.

Avon Eye Cream Swirls

The Avon Eye Cream Swirls($5.99 CDN) are creamy eyeshadows that are swirls of 3 colours that combine to give you a shimmery pretty shade. They look like candy or a yummy pudding of some kind, don’t they Larie? 😛

 photo IMG_5769.jpg

Avon Eye Cream Swirls Swirled Clouds and Swirled Gold

I have REALLY oily lids, so the Avon Eye Cream Swirls don’t last very long even with a primer on me which makes me sad. But if you have normal lids, then these are worth a shot as they are really pretty. I hate my oily lids. They ruin my cream eyeshadow love almost ALWAYS dang it. Even the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks are a no-go for moi. Sigh.

Available for your local Avon Rep at 1-800-265-AVON, or order online at www.avon.ca!

Anybody else CURSED with evil oily lids like mine? Seriously, they seem to getting WORSE. 🙁
