I guess I still have some Dior Summer 2016 products to show you, hey? Let’s take a look at the Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder, the Diorrskin Nude Air Glow Powders, and the Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liners.

Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light 001 Fresh Tan

Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light  and 001 Fresh Tan are gorgeous bronzers? Is that what they are? Because I don’t think so? I think I’d call them more of a bronzer blush, or BLONZER, because I like them on my cheeks, but not on the rest of my face. If I use them like a regular bronzer I tend to look a little too peachy and orange instead of bronzed. I love the formula though! They blend into the skin like a dream and do kind of give a subtle glow to the cheeks. Whether you believe the hooey that these contain a pollution-fighting formula that limits the absorption of toxins is up to you. SURE DIOR. SURE. #WhoYouKidding

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder $68

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder.jpg

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder is a special edition light peachy loose powder that enhances the skin with the subtle shimmer of a summer glow. There are tiny shimmers that I can still see no matter how much I blend or buff. Some people have said that the more you buff, the shimmers disappear? I can still see them no matter what I do, so I just apply a bit of the Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder on the tops of my cheekbones and any high points on my face-like a highlighter. Click on the swatches below to get a closer look at the powders and that shimmer I’m talking about.

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder, Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light, 001 Fresh Tan

I’m wearing the Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light on the apples of my cheeks and 001 Fresh Tan towards the back of my cheekbones. You can sort of see the difference in shade I think? It’s a very subtle difference in shade to be honest with the lighter one being peachier. All three blend beautifully and sit gorgeous on the skin, as do all Dior face powders. Dior face powders are gorgeous that’s for sure.

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner $36

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder.jpg

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282, #862

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282 Pro Navy is a navy shade and #862 Pro Magenta is a burgundy which is a pretty unique shade for an eyeliner. These are supposed to have the intensity of a liquid liner in a semi-matte finish.

 photo IMG_8688.jpg

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282, #862

Those swatches are two passes, so by no means are these as pigmented as a liquid eyeliner. They can break off a bit too, as you can see in the navy swatch some pencil came off.  You have a bit of time(around a minute) to smudge them if you like. That’s what I did. Although smudging the liner takes the pigmentation level down again. The bevelled tip is cool! But it takes a bit of practice to get used to it, which makes it tougher to get a precise line with them. That’s why I prefer smudging them.

 photo IMG_2668.jpg

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282

If you get water on your eyes they won’t move, but if you rub, then the eyeliner will move. So I wouldn’t call these waterproof. A more appropriate term would be water-resistant. That eye look did stay put all day for me, so long-lasting they are for sure.

Here’s what I mean about the bevelled edge being cool:

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liners are interesting? But I think the word Pro means something here. I think these would be easier to use if you are a makeup artist and applying eyeliner on someone else. But using them on yourself? There’s a bit of a learning curve before mastering the application. Plus that price makes my eyes twitch something fierce!

Would I spring for any of these products with my own money? I’d probably get one of the Nude Air Glow Powders-IF I needed a peachy Blonzer. The Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder is pretty? If you don’t mind some shimmer, it is lovely as a setting powder and I know a lot of my blogger buddies adore it. The eyeliners are a pass for sure, I mean for that price they should line my eyes on their own, right?

Has anything from the Dior Summer 2016 Collection caught your eye?

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold.jpg

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold

The Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipstick($45) case is something else. Almost too much. Probably too much. I have no idea what Dior is going for in the design…but you go Dior. Do your thang. I guess these look like some previous holiday lipstick cases, of which I have not had the pleasure/shock to have seen before, so… if you love the look of these right off the bat? I’m a bit scared of you to be honest…. 😛

But hey…it’s the inside…the lipstick that counts, right? RIGHT.

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold from left to right: #430 Radieuse, #580 Fascinate, #770 Fantastique, #750 Fabuleuse

Pretty yeah? Let’s get some Swatchy Time going on!

These Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks aren’t your old school matte lipsticks, nope, NOPE. But, seriously- who makes those anymore? I think pretty much every makeup brand in the universe and beyond has reformulated their matte lipstick formula into something they like to call a matte…but it’s not completely matte. At least not when you first apply them. Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks have a subtle something something to them…a bit of a glow? Yeah let’s say a glow. At first. After a bit of wear time, the finish does look more matte on the lips. It’s a bit sheerer, and way lighter feeling than other matte lipsticks I’ve tried, and I like that. And there’s apparently three oils to keep lips comfortable whilst wearing them. And I wish I kept the boxes to tell you what they are, but dang it…I threw those out as fast as you can say WHO NEEDS THE BOX. #badbeautyblogger

Here’s what they look like on my lips and face though!

Radieuse is a pretty, peachy nude. Anybody can wear this one I think!

Fascinante is an every day rosy MLBB shade.

Fantastique is a warm, hot pink that’s pretty wearable as far as hot pinks go!

And my fave, Fabuleuse which is a pink-based red that’s oh so fabulous   😛

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold #750 Fabuleuse

Diorific Matte Rouge Velvet Colour Lipsticks Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold are comfortable mattes, that wear beautifully without feeling drying at all. They can last a good 5 hours even with sipping water, which is impressive. Yeah, they be some expensive lipsticks, that’s for sure. But one of these is a well deserved Holiday Treat I say…you’ll use it and get loads of compliments every time you wear it. Oh, they do have that classic Dior Lipstick scent though….which I wish they’d drop already because who CARES Dior….move on with your lipstick scent…and I mean just drop it already. It’s not classy anymore, it’s just…old school.

I say pick up one! Especially if you love matte lipsticks. You’ll love the formula for sure. Find them on Dior counters in Canada by October 15th.

So many matte lipstick formulas this year…and good ones too! But so…expensive? Lipstick prices sure aren’t what they used to be.  🙁

What’s YOUR favourite matte lipstick formula?

Let’s talk about all the eye stuffs in the Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold Collection. One post-boom-bazinga-done. Fast and furiously gold, although not as gold as I thought it was going to be. Which for me is a YAY, because I’m not a fan of gold on my eyes, especially the more yellow golds.

This one is a stunner, that’s for sure! Look at that red! And I love a good red eyeshadow, and this one is NICE you guys.

The shadows all feel soft when swatched, are nicely pigmented, and blend beautifully on the eye.

I had no problem, other than significant fallout when applying them, so best to put your foundation on AFTER. The pink and the gold shade are more matte, and don’t have a ton of colour payoff, although the pink is surprising. You can definitely see the pink when you apply it-like a wash of pink. It’s quite pretty, and different, since most pinks are usually sparkly. And that glittery black shade I applied wet which worked quite well! It made the sparkles stay put much better. I like this palette.  😀

Dior Holiday 2015 5 Couleurs State Of Gold Eyeshadow Palette #576 Eternal Gold is a cooler toned palette, so I personally prefer this one.

The shades are a bit more boring compared to that red shade, but easier to wear, and just looks better on me I think. With this palette, you can wear whatever pretty lipstick shade you want, so for me, I’d get more wear from this palette for sure. It all depends on what you want to showcase for holiday parties-eyes, or lips. This palette is better if you’re a lip gal like me.  😛

Most of these shades worked quite well again, but since these shades are a bit lighter, be careful to not overblend them.

In this next picture I’m wearing that plummy taupe on my eye, but I also used the Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow($36) in Blazing on the centre of my lid.

Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow Blazing.jpg

Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadow Blazing

Wow! I didn’t think I was going to love this as much as I do! It’s great to add a bit of god sparkle on top of your eyeshadows. It stays put too.

Finally thoughts? I’m much more impressed with the Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold Eye products this time around. The shadows are really easy to work with, and blend nicely. The shades are pretty as well! But, are they worth $70 CDN? Well, again that’s up to you. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again-I think Dior Eye Palettes have gorgeous colour combinations. Their shadow formula for me, is not one of my favourites-although this time around they perform a lot better, so that’s a good thing. If you love Dior, you will love these. Personally? I say get the Fusion Mono Eyeshadow in Blazing and be done with any ‘holiday’ eye products. All you need is a bit of gold sparkle and any eyeshadow you have will look ‘holiday’. Save your money for a really pretty holiday lipstick, which Dior has for sure! I’ll show them soon, but spoiler alert-it’s real love for me!  😉

The Dior Holiday 2015 State Of Gold collection will be available on counters October 15 in Canada.

What do you think? This is the first ‘Holiday’ collection I’ve seen so far. They’re ALWAYS GOLD. Sigh. When is someone going to do an awesome Navy and Silver Holiday Collection? WHEN.

Do you love holiday makeup collections? Or are you like me, and think they’re just all the same and all too gold?

LAST ONE. I think hahaha. But is this best for last? Or WORST for last? Hmmmm…. 😛

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows

When I first saw the Dior Addict Fluid Shadows($36) I was excited! I love me a good liquid/cream eyeshadow and actually prefer them…which is STUPID. Most of them never last on my oilier that OILY lids. But for some reason, I keep wanting them and getting them and HOPING I’ll find one that’s a YES. I’m a lazy eyeshadow beauty junkie-if I can find something to smear on my lids and it looks good all day? I feel accomplished. 😛  But, I still haven’t found something that’s magical as such…not even these Dior Addict Fluid Shadows, which I was hoping! SIGH.

At first swatchy though, these Dior Addict Fluid Shadows sure do take your breath away!

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows #875 Destinèe, #275 Cosmic, #825 Aurora, #655 Univers, #545 Phoenix

Like HELLLOOOO LOVELIES, right? Sigh….it’s like liquid eyeshadow heaven!

BUT. And there’s a big but with these…no not MY big butt..stick to the topic dudes…these are not meant for blending out and looking all pretty and seamless and neat. NOPE NOPE NOPE. You have to forget your blending skillz with these suckers and leave them at the border folks.

SEE? She didn’t blend. At. All. And I don’t know, are we ready for this? Are we?

Nope I say. We just aren’t. Yet. At least from my observations. Hey, I’m all for a graphic look myself-it’s less frickin’ work. No blending you say Dior? I’m game. But, it’s harder said than done. Walking around with this high metallic liquid eyeshadow on your lids not blended out when you’re ….ahem…48…and going to the grocery store? Is a bit MUCH. And to tell you the truth, I really wish it wasn’t? Because I  honestly don’t give a hoot what people think. It’s ME that has the problem with it. It’s ODD feeling is all. I guess I’m just not at that point in my beauty evolution, and honestly…it’s probably too late for me at my age. But you young ‘uns? Still gotta a chance! If you go out to clubs and dance all night long? HECK…DO THIS.

Ok, here’s how my trials with the Dior Addict Fluid Shadows went. Play by play in fact. I’m all about the real deal, as you know.  😛

The first Dior Addict Fluid Shadow I tried was #825 Aurora because AURORA. I love the name, and the pinky rose gold shade is like my beauty Achilles. #rosegoldwhorehere

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #825 Aurora

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #825 Aurora.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #825 Aurora

This one? Works pretty well if you pat it out as you can see. And it’s a natural beauty tendency to want to blend this liquid shadow out, I know. All you’d need is a crease colour and BAZINGA! Done.

So, the next one I tried was #655 Univers because as much of a #rosegoldwhoreIam, I’m also a well documented #taupeloverextreme. And this time, I used a shadow in my crease to make it look more…seamless, like we’re used too.

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows #655 Univers

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows1.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows #655 Univers

Nice, huh? I was impressed! And was so hopeful after using these two shades!

Ok, so I HAD to try #875 Destinèe next, because that’s a WOWZA shade in any eyeshadow form.

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows #875 Destinèe

Looks good, right? And btw it’s on my lower lash line too. PRETTY.

Until, I show you my lids. You ain’t gonna like it. But I have to show you because dang it…this is money we’re talking about here. All this pretty stuff is $$$$$. You gotta know the truth.

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadows #875 Destinèe

What the hey man?! But, in defense of the Dior Addict Fluid Shadow…they AIN’T made for blending out. Which is what I tried to do here. And with this shade? It was a definite NO GO.

So, I had to try Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #275 Cosmic next, and this was another difficult one. So, I tried not to blend it too much as you can see.

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #275 Cosmic.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #275 Cosmic

I tried to go for more of a cut crease look, and I think it worked…sort of. Getting that blend above the cut crease was no easy feat though.

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #275 Cosmic.jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Shadow #275 Cosmic

I don’t know what to tell you all. Two of these Dior Addict Fluid Shadow shades-#825 Aurora and #655 Univers work incredibly well, and even blend out like what we are accustomed to. The other shades, well…are for a more graphic look. Paint them on. Go bold. And wear them proudly. That’s what they’re good for. Oh, and do remember that you have to kind of wait for these to dry before blinking, hey? It’s just the nature of a liquid eye shadow you have to deal with. Otherwise they’d have to put so much alcohol in the formula that your eye lids would shrivel up as soon as you applied them, and seriously that’s not good. And as it is, I think there’s a lot of alcohol in the formula already, because the Dior Addict Fluid Shadows are really cooling when you put them on, like a cold winter gust(that’s the alcohol evaporating btw). If you have dry lids? Protect them with some eye primer first! These things will dry them out so much more.

I don’t know dudes. Dior? Screws me UP big time. I want to like everything they make! But I can’t? Because everything is not amazing, which for some reason really disappoints me?! I don’t know why. But it does! I want to be a Dior Fan Girl, I really do…but I think I’ll just stick to their lip products. They do those SO so so well. Everything else? Seems to be a hit or miss for me.

Have you tried any of the Dior Addict Fluid Shadow shades? What do YOU think of them? Some people insist that patting with a brush makes a huge difference in how these blend out. I tried that. And it made no difference to me. So, I guess it’s all up to you to make these things work. And at this price point? Why should you have to do that I ask? Every shade should work…JUST. THE SAME. AND LOOK AMAZING…no matter what technique you use.

What’s your favourite liquid eyeshadow? I think mine is the one that Josie Maran makes. It’s pretty great. Check out my review HERE.

Nope…we aren’t done with Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 yet. I’m trying here folks, really I am 😛

I have three shades of Dior Addict Fluid Sticks($42 each) from the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 to show you-and two of them are Limited Edition, so if you likey you must buy-ey…buy-ii…you know what I’m trying to say. 😀 😀

Dior Addict Fluid Sticks Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 #784 Chic, #499 Avant-Garde, #289 Versailles

I like Dior Addict Fluid Sticks-didn’t used to, but I think the formula has changed slightly. They feel so much better on the lips and aren’t as tacky as the original incarnation-at least for me. I don’t know-maybe I’m just crazy but I do think it’s true. My lips tell me it is so.

Swatchy Time!

Dior Addict Fluid Sticks Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 .jpg

Dior Addict Fluid Sticks Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 #289 Versailles #499 Avant-Garde #784 Chic

The other reason I think Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are appealing to me now, is that they really smooth out your lips and make them look, well…younger! I like that. And they stay put and don’t bleed all over my face like some glosses do. Just an easy couple of swipes and boom!-my lips look and feel good. No fussing with lipstick trying to make it look all precise-perfect for my laissez-faire attitude about makeup lately. Dior Addict Fluid Sticks look good going on, last nicely, and look good wearing off. Easy, lazy lips for me!

Dior Addict Fluid Stick #289 Versailles is my personal fave and is LE. Perfect peachy pink!

I’m not sure about #499 Avant-Garde, but I think it’s a permanent shade? The name rings a bell for some reason. Anyways, it’s a great brown nude! It’s not nudey-nude, just a nice, easy to wear, not in your face kind of nude. MLBB even, with a 90s feel to it.

Dior Addict Fluid Stick #784 Chic is another LE shade, and it’s a really pretty berry shade that’s perfect for cooler weather.

Dior Addict Fluid Stick #784 Chic

Anyhoo, they’re all lovely as you can see, but if I had to choose one? It’d be between Avant-Garde and Chic. Either one is a great choice for fall.

One more week until we take Marky back to California! I can’t believe it’s the end of her summer visit with us already.  I’m already starting to have anxiety again about her leaving me…again… 🙁

What’s your favourite lip product for lazy days? Don’t say lip balm either…I mean something with some colour haha! Some oomph!
