Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette No.13 Skin Tones From The Ladylike Fall 2014 Collection

Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette No.13 Skin Tones is a typical Clarins mineral eye shadow palette. They are wet/dry eyeshadows. Use them dry and they are light in pigment and very natural. I personally don’t like using their mineral eyeshadows dry all that much to be honest. I find them a little hard to work with and rather disappointing in texture sometimes. I much prefer using them wet, as they work so much better that way. And especially with a neutral-toned palette like this. Used dry, there’s not a lot of difference in tone when you apply the shadows, but wet? Pure neutral shadow JOY.

Swatchy Time! I actually did swatch the Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette No.13 Skin Tones dry over a primer, so you can see that they do have decent pigmentation used dry. And if you do use them dry, a stickier eye primer like a MAC Paint Pot works better fyi.

A ladylike, natural eyeshadow look is really easy to do with the Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette No.13 Skin Tones. And I did do a simple one for you, using the eyeshadows dry. Very ladylike and great for every day use.

But I’m Tracy. And I don’t really do ladylike looks all that much. Give me a neutral palette, and I tend to go in the opposite direction of ladylike and look like I’m a grungy Nirvana video extra. Oh, and I did use the eyeshadows wet, because I think that adds to the grunge look. And man, that taupe just shines when you use it wet! Look at how amazing it looks blown out on my bottom lash line.
