Alarm clock screaming bare feet hit the floor
It’s off to the races everybody out the door
I’m feeling like I’m falling behind, it’s a crazy life
Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can
Trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand
So much to do in so little time, it’s a crazy life
It’s ready, set, go it’s another wild day
When the stress is on the rise in my heart I feel you say just

Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at my feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe

This song….it’s me…it’s exactly how I feel lately. Too many things to do. Not enough time. Stress. Chaos. I’m feeling like I’m falling behind, it’s a crazy life.

And I’ve really noticed this lately, because… I haven’t been blogging a lot. But as soon as I start blogging again… I FEEL OVERWHELMED. Right back into CHAOS I go. And then I notice bull CRAP happening in the blogosphere. People…friends…compromising their integrity…at least in MY EYES…just to get free makeup.

WHY OH WHY?!!!

It’s partly due to my personality type I think? I don’t do anything half-assed. I pretty much pour my heart and soul and my all into everything I try in this life. It’s my mama’s voice I hear in my head, telling me I can do better. And I never did want to disappoint her. Or you guys?

Just BREATHE. I want to keep on going…blogging…I really do? But I can’t seem to keep up anymore. Plus when others I call friends don’t care about what they do or say? Is all this worth it? Does anybody ELSE notice the wrongs that happen? Or is it just me?

Does all this matter? Should I care about other people? Their integrity? I feel like blogging is losing it’s credibility lately. Do you feel that way as well?

Does it matter that I don’t post every day? Every other day? Once a week? That I only post when I can? When I am inspired? Does it matter to those of you that actually read my blog? Tell me. Please.

This year has been quite the spiritual soul search for me. I’m alone a LOT. And, I don’t mind being by myself because I have a lot of feels. And thoughts. About the big L-life, in case you didn’t get that. I’m an introvert EXTRAORDINAIRE, so I love my alone time. And when I’m alone I get to think about life a lot. All that alone time has made me realize that I need to stop and BREATHE more often. That it’s good for me. And it’s also made me realize that I want to talk and write about OTHER STUFF, not just makeup and skincare.

 photo IMG_5653.jpg

About the other stuff I care about! Hiking, mountains, FOOD…I care a LOT about food HAHAHA. Hey, I’m a chubby girl…what’d ya’ expect?  😀

So….I’m gonna take a break for a bit here… revamp the site a bit…make it simpler…make it look more ME. Make it more about the stuff I LIKE. I’m not a complicated person at all…I’m pretty much a “you get what you see” kinda’ person. But I think you already know that, right?

I’ll be back…soon. Stronger. Better. BRAVER. And ready to challenge every fucker out there. Every fucker that lies about stuff. Every fucker that sells their soul for free makeup. EVERY. FUCKER. All of them. Because, I don’t give a rat’s ass what they think…or anybody else who lies. I’m gonna fight for blogging! To keep it REAL, and not sell out. I’m not trying to make a living off my blog. I make enough to pay the blog bills…that’s it. If you can make a living and keep it real still, I bow to you.

And I’m kind of excited to start talking about LIFE…and other stuff…and still makeups…because LORDY nothing makes my day like an awesome new blush! #stillaBlushfiend

I’m finally ready. To just BREATHE. And be, just be. I hope you’ll join me for the ride.

I guess I still have some Dior Summer 2016 products to show you, hey? Let’s take a look at the Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder, the Diorrskin Nude Air Glow Powders, and the Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liners.

Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder $68

 photo IMG_8558.jpg

Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light 001 Fresh Tan

Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light  and 001 Fresh Tan are gorgeous bronzers? Is that what they are? Because I don’t think so? I think I’d call them more of a bronzer blush, or BLONZER, because I like them on my cheeks, but not on the rest of my face. If I use them like a regular bronzer I tend to look a little too peachy and orange instead of bronzed. I love the formula though! They blend into the skin like a dream and do kind of give a subtle glow to the cheeks. Whether you believe the hooey that these contain a pollution-fighting formula that limits the absorption of toxins is up to you. SURE DIOR. SURE. #WhoYouKidding

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder $68

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder.jpg

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder is a special edition light peachy loose powder that enhances the skin with the subtle shimmer of a summer glow. There are tiny shimmers that I can still see no matter how much I blend or buff. Some people have said that the more you buff, the shimmers disappear? I can still see them no matter what I do, so I just apply a bit of the Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder on the tops of my cheekbones and any high points on my face-like a highlighter. Click on the swatches below to get a closer look at the powders and that shimmer I’m talking about.

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder.jpg

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder, Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light, 001 Fresh Tan

I’m wearing the Diorskin Nude Air Glow Powder 002 Fresh Light on the apples of my cheeks and 001 Fresh Tan towards the back of my cheekbones. You can sort of see the difference in shade I think? It’s a very subtle difference in shade to be honest with the lighter one being peachier. All three blend beautifully and sit gorgeous on the skin, as do all Dior face powders. Dior face powders are gorgeous that’s for sure.

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner $36

Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder.jpg

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282, #862

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282 Pro Navy is a navy shade and #862 Pro Magenta is a burgundy which is a pretty unique shade for an eyeliner. These are supposed to have the intensity of a liquid liner in a semi-matte finish.

 photo IMG_8688.jpg

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282, #862

Those swatches are two passes, so by no means are these as pigmented as a liquid eyeliner. They can break off a bit too, as you can see in the navy swatch some pencil came off.  You have a bit of time(around a minute) to smudge them if you like. That’s what I did. Although smudging the liner takes the pigmentation level down again. The bevelled tip is cool! But it takes a bit of practice to get used to it, which makes it tougher to get a precise line with them. That’s why I prefer smudging them.

 photo IMG_2668.jpg

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner #282

If you get water on your eyes they won’t move, but if you rub, then the eyeliner will move. So I wouldn’t call these waterproof. A more appropriate term would be water-resistant. That eye look did stay put all day for me, so long-lasting they are for sure.

Here’s what I mean about the bevelled edge being cool:

Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liners are interesting? But I think the word Pro means something here. I think these would be easier to use if you are a makeup artist and applying eyeliner on someone else. But using them on yourself? There’s a bit of a learning curve before mastering the application. Plus that price makes my eyes twitch something fierce!

Would I spring for any of these products with my own money? I’d probably get one of the Nude Air Glow Powders-IF I needed a peachy Blonzer. The Diorskin Nude Air Summer Glow Shimmering Loose Powder is pretty? If you don’t mind some shimmer, it is lovely as a setting powder and I know a lot of my blogger buddies adore it. The eyeliners are a pass for sure, I mean for that price they should line my eyes on their own, right?

Has anything from the Dior Summer 2016 Collection caught your eye?

Summer time! And the makeup livin’ should be easy! That’s pretty much my makeup philosophy now that it’s hot outside. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand heavy makeup in the summer. I freak out just thinking about the heat and the sweat and the makeup clogging my pores…UGGH. I just want an easy summer makeup that doesn’t feel heavy and cakey in the summer heat, and I have found one! Today I’m going to show you my go-to summer look featuring some new products from Mary Kay Summer 2016.

Let’s start with me before any makeup. I’ve applied my favourite face sunscreen of course, as should you! Never leave home without it. Please!

 photo MARYKAY2PicMonkey Collage.jpg

Me and my chubby cheeks! With no makeup on of course 😉

In the summer, I can’t really stand heavy foundations, so the new Mary Kay Undereye Corrector(17.50) and Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers(17.50) are just what the hot weather ordered!

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers.jpg

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers

The Mary Kay Undereye Corrector is a peach shade that colour-corrects bluish-purple shadows and brightens the undereye area. The Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers are so easy to use to get a natural even-looking complexion and come in 6 shades to match pretty much any skin tone.

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers: Light Ivory, Deep Ivory, UNDER EYE PERFECTOR,Light Beige, Deep Beige, Light Bronze, Deep Bronze

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers are creamy, buildable and blend in beautifully. They conceal minor imperfections like blemishes, dark shadows and age spots and last all day even though they are a lightweight formula.

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers

Dotting Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers where I need coverage and blending in with my Beauty Blender

All I do is dot some of the Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers where I need some help. The peachy under eye corrector goes under my eyes, and I like using two shades of concealer on my face-a bit peachier of a shade where I have more redness like on my cheeks, and one that matches my complexion more in the centre of my face. Then I take a damp Beauty Blender and blend away!

 Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers

Mary Kay Perfecting Concealers look

Voila! Easy, natural coverage that’s so lightweight! I do set my face with a bit of powder, just for some extra insurance and staying power in the heat. Use what ever your favourite powder happens to be, but if you’re sticking with Mary Kay, I’d use the Mary Kay Sheer Mineral Pressed Powder-it’s my fave.

Eyes and Lips are next!

The Limited-Edition Beauty That Counts® Hearts Together Lipstick $22  is a soft pink creme lipstick that’s sheer and oh so pretty of a pink. I love that $1 from the sale of each lipstick will be donated to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation that supports women living with cancer through the Look Good Feel Better program. The foundation also gives grants to women’s shelters and community outreach programs.

Mary Kay Lash Intensity Mascara

Mary Kay Lash Intensity Mascara $22 has a specially designed, asymmetrical Double-Impact brush that really fans out your lashes and adds lots of length. It’s a great summer mascara because it’s super smudge resistant.

Sheer, smooth, illuminating with a touch of shimmer, the True Dimensions Lipsticks are SO moisturizing you’d swear you were wearing a lip balm instead. This is my fave Mary Kay Lipstick formula for sure, and they feel a lot like a higher priced sheer lipstick that used to be my favourite(rhymes with Dior HAHA). 😛

What’s your go-to easy summer makeup look?

MAKE UP FOR EVER joined forces with pop star Charli XCX to create this collection of Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners($25). I am old, so forgive me, but I have NO IDEA who she is HAHA. I don’t listen to the radio a lot, so the only time I might get to listen to a new song is at Zumba. But hey, if she likes bold colour on her eyes, then she’s gotta be cool-right?

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners($25)

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners.jpg

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners

I was gobsmacked when the whole collection of Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners showed up at my door. I didn’t expect that at all! I’m not one of the bigger and more popular bloggers around, but I guess Make Up For Ever must like me. Who knew? And I like them! And they are one makeup brand that appreciates honest reviews and feedback about their products. I’ve never felt like I couldn’t tell it like I saw it when I reviewed their stuff, and when I have given a less than a stellar review, the lovely PR has thanked me for my honesty. I admire that! And that’s why they’re the longest PR relationship I’ve had with a brand since I’ve started blogging. And hopefully it continues for a very long time-fingers crossed!

Now, let’s start this review with the fact that I am totally an eyeliner gal-like pencil eyeliner-I don’t do liquid eyeliner, or any other kind of fancy eyeliner crap. I am pretty old-fashioned when it comes to eyeliner, and much prefer the ease of a sharp pencil that I can smudge if I want, use on my waterline if I want, or flick it up if I want. But what I ALSO want is a pencil eyeliner that won’t smudge, fade, disappear. Oh, and I also want them to come in every fricken colour I’m lemming that day.

THESE ARE WHAT I WANT.

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners.jpg

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners

The Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners come in different finishes-matte, iridescent, diamond, metallic and satiny. What I did find is that the more sparkle they have, the softer the pencil is. The metallics are REALLY soft, so be careful with them otherwise they can break rather easily. The others I had no problem with.

I’m going to let the pictures of the shades speak for themselves, and by all means click on them to enlarge so you can see better. Oh, and my swatches are the names of the individual eye liners. It was just easier to do it this way.

And the pastels, which are all matte:

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners.jpg

Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners

The mattes are STELLAR on the waterline…on me, they lasted well into 8 hours without fading and that’s amazing. I didn’t try the others-I tend to not use eyeliners with any kind of sparkles in my waterline, sorry. I have sensitive eyes you guys, and I can’t take glitter in my eyes. It takes DAYS for my eyes to recover from that so I just don’t do it anymore.

But, on just my eyelids, all of them work AMAZINGLY well. They stay put no matter what! There’s not much time to smudge if that’s what you like, so you gotta work fast. It’s enough time for me, so it’s all cool for you too. Once they set, they SET. You will need a waterproof eye makeup remover to take them off. And may I suggest the MUFE Sens’Eyes – Waterproof Sensitive Eye Cleanser-it’s my fave and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. I think it deserves a separate review though, so stay tuned for that!

I love these eyeliners and use them all the time…when I DO wear makeup. Because to be honest, I don’t wear a lot of makeup these days. Eyeshadows for sure I rarely use, but if I feel like adding a bit of colour to my eyes, these Make Up For Ever Aqua XL Eye Pencil Waterproof Eyeliners are what I use and love. Just so easy! This is how you do colour on your eyes if you are an aging beauty junkie like I am! Eyeliners give that subtle pop of colour that won’t make you look crazy and like you are trying too hard. Yeah, that’s a thing that happens when you are getting older. It’s not right and I don’t agree with it at all. But, these eyeliners make it so much easier to be YOU, to express yourself still, even though the world tells you that you are TOO OLD to wear pastel pink on your eyes. SCREW THE MAN you guys, and get one of these eyeliners in a shade that is outside your office comfort zone!  And wear it! WITH PRIDE.

What kind of eyeliner girl are you? Pencil? Pen? Gel? And, do you do COLOURS like these?

You know, it’s when I clean out my bathroom and am able to take a close look at what’s in my cupboards that I realize I have a problem. You’d think I’d notice BEFORE THEN. Nope.

Mask Overload #MaskFiend

#MaskFiend.jpg

#MaskFiend

Holy CRAP…when did this situation happen???!! It’s ludicrous.

Granted, some of them are PR Samples, so for those I scream UNCLE, and you can’t hold me responsible for. But some of that ridiculous mask overload is my fault, and hey…I’m owning up to it. Because you know what? I’M A #MASKFIEND. There, I finally admitted it! And it feels GOOD.

What’s a #MaskFiend? Well, if you love the instant and sometimes a few days lasting effects of INSTANT BOOST SKINCARE  for your skin woes, then hey….JOIN ME. OWN IT MAN. It’s ok. We could have worse addictions…and I know, I’m from a drug-riddled-addicted-family that only me and my little bro escaped the really awful effects of so, I know what I’m talking about here, I swear to God.

Ok, well enough self-loathing. Let’s analyze this mask overload, shall we? More Tracy Unplugged for your entertainment. Although seriously when am I NOT UNPLUGGED??! I gotta get a new saying, so if you can help me with that I’ll love you forever.

The WorkHorsies(see what I did there?) from my Forever Fave Love Avène

#MaskFiend.jpg

Avène Loves

I can’t live without these two masks from Avène, so trust me, these are repurchases. The Eau Thermale Avène Soothing Moisture Mask is a workhorse mask for me and my dry, easily irritated aging skin. It’s something I slap on after a shower without even thinking. I never wipe it off. I’ll even use it as a moisturizer if my skin is feeling REALLY dry…like now. We have had no rain here, and I’m sure you’ve all heard of the #FortMacMurray Wildfire. It’s so SO DRY HERE you guys….I walk across the carpet in my house, and I am setting off SPARKS at anything I touch and it’s not even winter #NOHUMIDITYATALL

The Avéne Antirougeurs Redness Relief Soothing Repair Mask is another I’ll slap on every other day to calm and soothe my red face. It’s just so good…both of them are. Pretty much Holy Grails for this #maskfiend that’s for sure.

Sleeping Masque

#MaskFiend.jpg

Amore Pacific and Nip+Fab Soften

The Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Sleeping Recovery Masque($72) I bought after trying a sample. Yup. One night, one try was all it took for me to buy the full size. It’s the best sleeping mask I’ve tried to date. I don’t know, I think it’s the Bamboo Sap that my skin loves, because there’s another mask I’ll show you later with the same ingredient), but it works for me. I use this at night when my skin is extra-parched like right now. I’ll slather on a light layer and wait a bit for it to sink in before hitting the sheets, otherwise my pillowcase gets the brunt of the good stuffs. It takes a bit of time to sink in before you can go to sleep, but hey…that’s ok with me because it IS a mask so, I expect that. The next morning my skin is so soft and smooth and flake-free…it’s amazing stuff.

The Nip+Fab Soften Kale Fix Clay Mask is a new one that was sent for me to try, and if you have dry, dehydrated skin that breakouts, you NEED this. It’s not a drying out clay mask, so this works for those of us that have dehydrated skin. It’ll draw out any gunk without making your skin look like the Sahara. It’s a great drugstore find that’s for sure!

#MaskFiend.jpg

Glamglow and Laneige

Ok, confession time: I had NO idea that the GlamGlow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment was a PEEL OFF MASK??!! #FML I swear I’ve used this twice and hated it because it was so DAMN HARD to wash off HAHAHAHAHAHA so, I can’t really give you a review other than it makes you look all silver like The Terminator#2, so…yeah…but initial thoughts are that there’s a bit of firming so… I’ll get back to you about that bugger, now that I know how to use it. I really need to start reading beauty directions on the packages again. Seriously.

The Laneige Mulberry Yogurt Repairing Mask is only $33 Canadian which is a STEAL when it comes to masks. I like this one! It’s formulated with extracts from raspberries, blueberries, wolfberries(WOOHOO what’s a wolf berry because DUDE I want one), cranberries, and strawberries- a Multiberry Complex that delivers loads of nutrients and antioxidants deep into the skin to help nourish and eliminate harmful free radicals. It’s SUPER nourishing and hydrating- I mean it feels and smells like a yogurt berry smoothie hahaha! It’s a lovely, nourishing, moisturizing mask that I’m happy to have in my #maskoverload arsenal.
#MaskFiend1.jpgLet’s start with the bottom of that trifecta of AWESOME. The Filorga Meso-Mask I’ve talked about HERE , so read about why I love that one so much and will always have it on hand.

The Erborian Bamboo Waterlock made my Skincare 2015 faves list, and with good reason! It’s the best hydrating mask I’ve ever used. It’s a refreshing gel that you can use as a rinse-off mask, or as a leave-on treatment. Bamboo sap and fibers helps to lock in moisture and you immediately feel hydrated. The sap contains amino acids, to help hydrate the skin, while the fiber contains proteins and lipids to help maintain skin’s natural moisture. I’ll put it on after I shower and just let it sink in-why rinse it off? It also reduces visible signs of fatigue, so I love using this overnight. And the bamboo scent is so calming and green and lovely. Really one of the best masks I’ve ever tried!

The Clinique Sculptwear Contouring Massage Cream Mask($54) I got during a Shopper’s Optimum Points Redemption, so it was sort of free, and it’s ok? It’s really nourishing and moisturizing I’ll give it that much. But as far as any sculpting or contouring going on,  I call #TRENDBULLSHIT on that…good job Clinique on using those buzz words that are going around the beauty world right now, but your mask is just hydrating. That’s about it. At least it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, so I’ll give you that much. But it doesn’t do much more than that.

#MaskFiend.jpg

These are the two masks I use when I want to brighten and make my skin look super CLEAN and NEW.

Consonant DHE Mask($45) is a 100% natural mask that’s formulated to detoxify, hydrate, and exfoliate to give you more radiant, healthy, youthful-looking skin after just one use. I bought this one form Well.ca when I became quite taken with the brand and wanted to try more of their products. It’s formulated with mineral-rich Manicouagan clay that’s extracted from the site of a 215 million year-old asteroid crash in Quebec like HELLOOOO— that’s like SOMETHING SPECIAL you guys! It detoxifies and clarifies your skin with the help of willow bark and tea tree extracts. Plus it’s got the potent HydrExtreme that I talked about HERE . This mask has a unique blend of alpha hydroxy acid fruit enzymes that gently exfoliate, revealing softer and smoother skin without any kind of irritation whatsoever. And my skin usually HATES any kind of glycolic or AHA’s, yet in this mask, those ingredients work! It’s so GOOD and it’s available at Sephora now so YAY for that!

The Caudalie Glycolic Peel($39) is a peel treatment mask that tightens pores, reduces oil, renews skin texture, and gives that immediate burst of radiance to your skin. In 10 minutes dudes. Yup, it works that fast. And it’s not irritating at all, even for my super-sensitive skin. It contains a butt load of active ingredients like papaya enzymes and glycolic acid that brighten and give you that radiant, young skin we all crave. GOOD STUFF.

Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask

#MaskFiend .jpg

Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask

I can’t remember why I picked up Paula’s Choice Skin Recovery Hydrating Treatment Mask($21 USD) but HOOWEE this is good stuff. If your skin is REALLY DRY, or you dried it out doing something extreme like trying to dry up a breakout-this is the stuff you need to repair you damaged skin barrier. It’s so emollient…like almost butter. I use this when I’ve had to combat any breakouts by using some kind of Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid Treatment, because LORDY those things parch my skin something fierce. This mask has all kinds of plant-based oils, essential fatty acids, and lipids that dry skin needs to repair and replenish itself. It’s super creamy and soothes and reduces any kind of inflammation to instantly restore radiance and soothe dryness. It’s the best healing mask I’ve tried, and it’s affordable too, so YAY. Love Paula’s Choice LOTS.

Is that it? I think that’s it, HOLY SHIZ. And that’s just what’s in my cupboard, because I have a skincare drawer of sheet masks too so, HOLY this is a serious issue I have??!!  I still have a few jar masks that I need to try that have been sent to me so…OY VEY. I’ll get to them soon, I promise, because that’s what I do. I just feel the need to actually USE one of these up first before cracking one of those open, ya’ know what I’m saying’? Christ on a BIKE.  😛

Are you a #MaskFiend too? What are some of your faves? Share! Enable a fellow #MaskFiend…like I need any help  😀 😀

I have some shower stuffs I’ve been LOVING lately that I need to tell you about, so let’s start with the one that is breaking my heart, because I CAN’T FIND IT AT THE DRUGSTORE YET. And I’m almost out!

New Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil $16

Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil.jpg

Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil

If you’re a fan of the Nuxe Huile Prodigiuese, then you’re going to adore the Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil, or the Prodigieux Hulle de Douche. It smells just like the oil-that dreamy blend of Sweet Almond Oil, Orange Blossom, Magnolia and Vanilla that just screams summer. Or fall. Or winter for that matter, because I love the scent all year round. And now, you can take a shower with that scent! It’s got the golden particles from the shimmery version of the oil too, but I don’t notice any golden particles on my skin after I shower, thank goodness. I don’t like sparkles on my skin as you know.

Just a little bit of water on your shower poof with a few squirts of Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil and this amazing fine foam that feels so fluffy lathers up and gently cleanses your skin with that delicious scent… I LOVES IT. And it leaves your skin super soft too! But hey, do top it off with some of the oil, because you want to keep that scent going if you’re like me. And by the way, there’s a parfum of the scent too! Which I also haven’t seen yet…I’ll keep stalking the drugstore aisles until I finally get my hands on that too.

The Nuxe Prodigieux Shower Oil is supposed to be available in stores as of May, but I haven’t seen it yet and I am almost out. SO I AM WORRIED. Please let me know if you spot it in stores! It’s going to be available at The Bay, Shopper’s Drug Mart, Sears, Murale and the usual stores in Quebec.

Are you a fan of the scent of Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse too?  Are you as excited as I am about this shower oil too?

AND…I feel HORRIBLE posting about this stupidly expensive product when people in Fort Mac have lost their homes…their EVERYTHING….because of the wildfires. My heart goes out to all those affected. I’ve donated to the Red Cross, and I urge you as a reader to do the same. I just can’t imagine the heartbreak these people are going through…we have to care. Please donate to the Red Cross if you can help them out.

OK….let’s get on with this ridiculous review.  😛

I get quite a few email from PR, not as much as SOME people I know…but enough to make me laugh, because the majority is such BULL. Most of these emails I tend to ignore because I just don’t care enough anymore, or they’re all about:  please post this and you will get all these followers…NO CAN DO. I deal with a select few brands and PR these days-those that know me and can tolerate my snarky blogging voice. And to be honest, I don’t get a lot of makeup sent to me anymore which is OK with me. But if it’s something to do with skincare, my 49 year old ears PERK THE HECK UP. And sometimes I get the ballz to ask for something to get sent here, like this time. Though I thought there was NO way they’d send it to little old me. Guess I was wrong!

The Ridiculously Expensive Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum

Ok, WARNING to you all reading this…. it’s going to be a bit of a rant. SO, if you can’t handle my rants..move on.

Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum costs anywhere from $500-$600

The only place in Canada that I’m pretty sure you can get Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum is from Holt Renfrew at the moment…I don’t think Sephora Canada carries this one..yet…or if they ever will. Oh, and I bet it’s available at Nordstrom here in Canada as well.

Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum supposedly boosts collagen production, and smooths fine lines and wrinkles. It speeds-up cellular regeneration bringing brilliance back to dull skin and increases anti-oxidant production preventing future aging and damage. Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum has a powerful, patented compound of green tea stem cells, green tea EGCG and green tea saponin. Basically, it’s FULL OF GREEN TEA in case you didn’t get that part  😛  . All this tea boosts collagen production and rebalances melanin regulation-which HMMMmmmmmmm…. I’ll get to that later. It revives the skin’s hydration process to reduce lines and wrinkles, improve skin clarity and increase skin radiance and firmness.

Now, I’m OLD…and vulnerable to this anti-aging HOODOO SPEAK that beauty companies like to blather on about. BOOSTS COLLAGEN PRODUCTION…STEM CELLS… MELANIN REGULATION….Hey, I’m only hooman myself and wishing for that fountain of youth too. But nothing a cosmetic company sells you can speak to your cells like they claim, and turn off or on functions… start making changes at the genetic level like this stuff is trying to tell us…it’s just NOT feasible people. Let’s get a grip?!! NOTHING TOPICAL CAN MAKE YOUR GENES DO THIS OR ACT LIKE THAT.  I will no longer listen to these “SPINS” that PR try to shove at us, and no longer pretend or try to convince you that this stuff is real. Cause it just AIN’T.

Sorry to burst your bubble Amore Pacific. But as someone who is aging…like REALLY aging compared to the plethora of under 30 year old beauty bloggers in the internets… and hey most of them are my friends…but no offence? I don’t take any skincare advice from ANYBODY that isn’t close to my age, so that erases ALL of you buddies I hate to say…I mean, I still read your thoughts and all? And if what you are reviewing offers hydration…ok that’s one thing I’ll listen to and try. But if it’s anything to do with aging? You have no idea yet, trust me.

Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum is nice. It’s a serum that absorbs pretty quickly and doesn’t leave your skin tacky or greasy. But, it’s really moisturizing. LIKE A LOT. I can’t believe they sell a cream to go with this serum, because honestly you don’t need a cream after using this stuff. I find once a day is enough for my dry skin, otherwise it’ll break me out. If you are really, REALLY dry then twice a day is your jam with this stuff.

But, to be honest? I didn’t really notice all that much difference when I used this…at least until it started to break me out. Once that happens, I stop using that product and that’s what I did with Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum. It’s in my skincare drawer, waiting there. I might try again soon? Or just wait until fall when it starts to cool down here again. It’s super-hydrating, and that’s pretty much all I noticed whilst using it for about three weeks.

So, the ridiculously expensive Amore Pacific Time Response Skin Renewal Serum is something for those of you that have a lot of extra cash sitting around. For those of you that LOVE Korean skincare. For those of you with really, REALLY dry skin. To be honest, I can’t think of anyone I know that can afford this stuff. And if they could? I’d tell them NOT to waste their money. #WhoSaidBeautyBloggersDontTellTheTruth #FightMe

What’s the most expensive skincare product you’ve ever tried? This one is it for me. I’ve tried the La Mer Cream and even had a jar at one point in my crazy beauty junkie addiction journey. But that’s pennies compared to this one LOL. What’s your spending limit when it comes to beauty? And are you ore willing to spend on skincare like I am?
