I’ve been asked to show what Dior Pink Glow Nude Tan Paradise Duo looks like on my cheeks, so I thought I’d show you my FAVOURITE spring look lately that I’ve been wearing all week!

I’m wearing Dior Pink Glow Nude Tan Paradise Duo on my cheeks and I LOVE this bronzer/blusher so much! What I do is dip by brush into the bronzer half first and warm up my face and then I dip into the pink side and add as much pink as I like! The more pink I add, the pinker my cheeks become, the less pink the more coral they look. LOVE! It blends so effortlessly. You guys need to visit a Dior counter to see it for yourselves!

You all know I am obsessed with mint lately too, so on my eyelids I’ve got a mint eyeshadow on with my other favourite eyeshadow shade taupe, blended into the crease with a taupe eyeliner on my lower lash line. It’s that chocolate chip mint ice creamy look I still can’t get enough of!

I keep looking for a new spring lipstick, but nothing appeals for some reason. But that’s because I already HAVE the perfect spring lipstick, Marcelle Rouge Expression Paris Rose!

Paris Rose is a light pinky coral that’s very creamy! It’s really similar to MAC Crosswires I showed you last week, just a bit pinker. Crosswires has more orange to it, and has a bit of a gold sheen too. Marcelle Paris Rose kind of has that vintage pink look on my lips and I love it. It’s my favourite spring lipstick right now.

Today it’s going to be +17 Celsius so I am heading outdoors to enjoy the beautiful weather, just in case it goes away! The weather can change in a blink of an eye here in Alberta.

What’s your favourite Spring look lately? Share! I love getting ideas!

Oh, and the other day I made Chocolate Diablo Cookies and these are THE BEST cookie I’ve ever tasted. They are chocolatey, gingery, and then have a little kick of cayenne at the end-you HAVE to try these! It says ginger juice, but I just used fresh ginger!

YUMMMMMMMM

This has been what Edmonton has looked like every day this week:

Now, normally I really don’t mind gloomy weather. Really. But because I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, I’d rather there be some sun out. Some. No sun makes you feel even MORE tired, ya’ know? And the more tired I get, I start to look like this:

Look at that piece of hair sticking out of my head @90 degrees. Awesome.

Day 1 of no sun                                         Day 4

I need some BRIGHTness in my life! And one of the best ways to do that is to wear a nice, bright lipstick! Like one that my dear friend Gaelle@ The Makeup Fairy sent me in a surprise gift:

That piece of hair is still sticking out. I kinda’ like it now.

This is a Barbara Daly Stay Pout Long-lasting lipstick called Diva and it’s the prettiest cherry red I’ve ever seen. Even though it’s a cool-toned red I can still wear it and that amazes me. Lasts really well for a long wearing lipstick! If you find it a bit dry, just a little bit of lip balm prior to application helps a lot. But, it’s basically a steal since it’s from the grocery store! Thanks so much Gaelle!

Now, by Day 3 of this gloomy weather I needed something even MORE brightening. More happy. So, I pulled out the big guns. And the big guns is this new Arctic Goddess True Color Eyeshadow Quad from Avon*(available in November):

Avon Arctic Goddess True Color Eyeshadow Quad

OMG this Arctic Goddess True Color Eyeshadow Quad is kind of awesome!
AND it’s only $9.99 CAN!

As you can see, 2 blues are shimmery, and 2 are matte (LOVE the mix of textures), and the mattes are pretty fantabulous I have to say! Nicely pigmented and they blend well too. There’s a bit of fallout when blending, but after that I had no problems at all. Lasts all day with a primer too!

As the name suggests, you can create some really pretty Snow Queen looks (great, NOW I want some Turkish Delight), or a more sunny bright look like I did here:

Add one of my favourite bright scarves and Bazinga! Brightness and happiness abounds!

Today was Day 4 of no sun. So I decided to embrace the cold, dark day and MAKE SOUP.

I made this DELICIOUS Olive Garden Copycat Zuppa Toscana for supper today. Nothing like a piping hot bowl of great soup to warm your cockles I say! I substituted fat free cream for the whipping cream, because I don’t need the added calories thank you very much. I also used spicy sausage and not as much of it as the recipe suggests, used baby spinach instead of Swiss Chard, and skipped the bacon. YUMMY! It was really good and ended the day with some happy tummies over here. And nothing brightens my day more than seeing the happy smiles of the people I love!

I don’t see much sun in the forecast
for the next while over here, but you know what? That’s ok with me now.

It really is. I have ways to deal with Gloomy Edmonton! Or Gloomonton??

Now, where can I find some Turkish Delight?

What do you do to brighten up your look on dreary cold days?

*Disclamer: I was sent this product to review by PR/Company. Love it or leave it, but my review and opinions are my own thoughts and words, thank you very much.
