Ok! Here are the rest of the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick swatches I promised you.
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks
And not just swatches- but pics of them on MY FACE. Because I think you SHOULD see lipsticks ON a blogger’s face-not just arm swatches, or just pretty pics of just the lipsticks themselves. THAT’S CALLED ACTUAL BLOGGING FOR THE READERS. Hey, I get it-maybe some bloggers don’t have time…sure, I’m busy too? And it’s a pain in the ass to take full face pics. I get it. And to be honest-I’m getting older and older by the minute and it’s getting nerve-racking to post pics of my aging face here. But I think it’s important to show what a lipstick looks like on my face! I really do! If all I and other readers ever see are just swatches on arms, or just close-ups of your lips(which I used to do too, but if you’ve noticed I don’t anymore because honestly, it really doesn’t tell a reader that much) or just pretty pics of JUST the lipstick? It makes readers wonder if you really do wear and use the makeup! Just sayin’, and being my big-ole’ big mouth can’t keep quiet Tracy as usual 😛 #minirant
MANDATORY-If-You-Call-Yourself-A-Beauty Blogger-Arm-Swatches, right Paris? 😀
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C502, C105, C603, M401, C211, C506
So, C means satin finish, and M means matte. No sheers in the Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks, which is ok by me. The satin finishes are super creamy, super comfy, and mildly hydrating even. You already know from yesterday’s post how I feel about the mattes, which is just plain LOVE. The pigment is out of this world on both finishes, and lasting power is pretty awesome-easily a between meals lasting time.
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C105
An easy to wear peachy nude! A lip-liner is needed if you have pretty pigmented lips like mine, which I didn’t use here, but when I wear this one you better believe I do.
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C211
This shade for me is a MLLB shade-it’s pretty close to my natural lip shade and I love it. An every-day, no fuss, wear everywhere shade.
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick M401
Gorgeous bright, matte red that everyone needs in their lipstick wardrobe! Love it lots!
Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipstick C506
Gorgeous plum berry shade that’s very on trend right now. I love it, but I think I’d prefer this kind of a shade to be a matte, as it would be less of a fuss to deal with while wearing. But, that’s me and my personal preference speaking there. And then again, that sheen (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ on this shade is GORGEOUS.

Make Up For Ever calls this one Taupe-Violet, but I kind of think it’s more of a greyed-violet. Not an easy to wear shade, especially when you’re almost 50! Again, a lip liner or a concealer should be used to block out your lip pigment when you wear a shade like this. I do appreciate this shade is a cream though, as a matte might have made it settle into lip lines. Although, I do think that this brilliant new formula could have handled this greyed-violet in a matte.

This shade is called Midnight Blue by Icona Pop and it’s a LE shade, so if it’s something that speaks to you, better get it quick!
I used to love shades like this! And I still do, but this is a little too warm for my skin tone, and in all honesty, it should have been a matte. It’s too fussy for my liking, and I prefer blotting it down if I venture to wear this shade out. I haven’t yet, as all I’ve done lately is go to zumba or shopping for Christmas stuff. But if I had a party to go to? I’d try and rock it. Why not? It’s only makeup, and it’s meant to be FUN. This shade with icy silvery eyes and some gorgeous navy too would look BEAUTIFUL.
There you go! So, any of these shades appeal to you? I love the formula, and think getting one in a shade that’s perfect for you is worth the $27 CAD.
And, do you agree? Do you like seeing lipsticks on a face as well?
