Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation Review

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation ($50) was developed specifically for the film and TV industry’s most advanced technology, and is completely invisible under the latest, super-focused 4k lens..which is cool and all? But I’m not in front of a camera here in #YEG all day long…so what does that mean for the rest of us MUFE? Those of us who just live in real life?  😉 #LifeIsHighDefDude

Stick foundations aren’t usually something that I think of as giving a natural looking makeup look. That’s why they’re mainly used for TV and film. Those cameras are pretty unforgiving, and coverage is needed! But, MUFE has changed my mind for sure with this stuff. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is a traditional twist-up foundation stick that gives a sheer, to medium, to FULL coverage…yeah that’s right…you can get whatever coverage you want from this stuff. It all depends on your application and tools. But! BUT: it’s lightweight, which is unlike any other stick foundation I’ve ever tried. #talkingtoYouBobbiBrown  MUFE Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation looks just like skin, leaving a natural, radiant finish that just makes you look BETTER than YOU. #LifeIsHighDefDude

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation is formulated with hyaluronic spheres for time-released hydration that is perfect for normal to dry skin. If you are combination to oily, I think you’d need to use an oil control primer as well as a good setting powder to make it last. I have dehydrated, aging skin, that does get a tiny bit oily in the T-Zone, and even I have to set it with something like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders to make sure it stays put all day.

This foundation covers redness, uneven skin tone and gives skin a healthy, natural-looking appearance, and doesn’t settle into fine lines at all. It doesn’t accentuate any of my dry flakes either, especially if applied with a wet Beauty Blender, which is my preferred weapon of face maquillage-ation these days.   😉

I’m not a fan of heavy, full coverage foundations as you know, so for me, one coat of this stuff is plenty enough.

But like I said, you could go to full coverage town easy with this stuff if that’s what you want! For me, this is enough and I like it! It looks like MY skin, just less red, more even toned…and a bit better.

I do have to set it with some kind of finishing powder, and when I do it lasts a nice 8 hours on my drier skin. This is the lightest yellow-based shade though-117 Y225 which I’d say is NC20.  If you are cool-toned, there is a pinker shade so don’t worry. But if you are really pale, look into the liquid version because HOO BOY there’s a pale one that’s PALE..even too pale for me! You can sort of see it in the swatchy time photo up there #ghostlyghostfoundationhues

Perfect for travel for sure! For spot concealing! For a light coverage! For a FULL coverage if that’s what you want! I don’t really see much wrong with this new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation to be honest, except maybe the lasting power which is about 8 hours of wear. A primer would definitely help prolong that though. It’s a great foundation for the colder months ahead, especially if your skin is on the drier side.

I promise to review the liquid new HD foundation soon… <3

HUGZ,

Are you a stick foundation fan? I know a lot of people are!
Any fun plans this weekend coming up?
  • Glowing skin before and after to be honest. I’ve been curious about this ultra HD foundation, I think we’ve only got the liquid version over here.

  • Ooh, glad you’re loving this! Makes you skin look so natural and even. I have the liquid version of this in the same colour and have been super impressed 🙂

    • Thanks! I like this one better than the liquid to be honest. But I have dry skin so this is better for me.

  • Great review because I have practically written all stick foundations off because they always feel gross. I’ll wait for your take on the liquid foundation and decide between the two because I am nearing empty on all my current bases and I’ve wanted a MUFE foundation so bad!

  • Lily

I wonder how it’ll hold up in humid weather. Maybe the liquid foundation will be a better choice. I loved their HD foundation, so I have a feeling I’ll love this too. My shade is Y225 too!! A little bit paler than my face, but I need it to match the rest of my body 🙂

    • I think the liquid one would be better in your humidity for sure. Yahoo shade twins haha! my neck is paler than my face-my big head shades it. 😛

  • Sounds a lot like the Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick, which I love!

  • Hahaha crap, I need to get my review up 😛 You inspired me! I’ll do it.

    Maybe.

HAHAHA editing photos is time consuming. I have Y315, which I think is *slightly* darker…but doesn’t look that different. I don’t know, I picked it online after looking at some reviews 😛 I like mine, too!

    • Wahoo!

This one matches me pretty well right now. That liquid one however HOOEY is it pale…it’s like Marky pale!

  • This sounds nice. I have the Bobbi brown foundation stick. This seems quite similar.

  • Angela

This does sound nice. I just wish it came with a smaller price tag! Waaay back when, you turned me onto their powder foundation, which I used for a long time and for some reason went away from (probably because of cost). I think MUFE has a great line-up of foundations, so this will be on my wish list for sure 😉 OH and twinsies for having a killer widow’s peak too!!

    • LOL widow’s peaks are such a pain! I can never have nice bangs and always hated that about it. 😀
Yeah, it is costlier that’s for sure. I still think that powder foundation is the best one they make actually.

  • Toya

I also need to get my review up of this (or of anything, who am I kidding? #MIAforweeks I like this a lot – I’ve never had a stick foundation and it’s super quick and easy, but you’re right, for oilier skin it definitely needs to be set! But it gives a gorgeous glow I’m digging. I think the liquid UltraHD is better for me overall but you can’t beat the ease of this!

    • Yeah geeze, aren’t you finished moving YET HAHAHAHAHA-;) I think they’ll understand! We do! 😀
Agree! Although, I’m finding the Ultra HD catches a little on dry skin…so this one is better for me for sure.
