Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks| Dior Cosmopolite 2015 Collection

Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks are by far my favourite product from the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015. Wow, the blush is my favourite-who’d have thunk?  😛

Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks

Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks are a jumbo-size take-anywhere cheek stick that would be perfect for travel. In fact I plan on bringing one to California at the end of the month. I love products that don’t require a brush when I’m traveling. Last thing I want to do is faff around with a zillion brushes when there’s things to do and see!

Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks: #845 Cosmopolite Pink, #765 Cosmopolite Rosewood, and #675 Cosmopolite Coral

There are three universally flattering shades of  Diorblush Cheek Sticks in  #845 Cosmopolite Pink, #765 Cosmopolite Rosewood, and #675 Cosmopolite Coral.

Cosmopolite Swatchy Time!

And more swatchy time! I also blended swatches out so you can see what they’ll look like on your cheeks better.

I didn’t think I’d like these Diorblush Cheek Sticks as much as I do! They are creamy, but as you blend them out they set to a light, powdery finish. Yet they don’t LOOK powdery at all-you still get that seamless, lit from within cheek glow that cream blushes give. Because they go on creamy, they even work on drier cheeks too and don’t emphasize any dryness. They are buildable in pigment too, so most skin tones can wear them easily. Cosmopolite Pink is the lightest in pigment, but it builds up on the cheeks nicely! And the best thing about Diorblush Cheek Sticks is that they last all day! My favourite shade is #765 Cosmopolite Rosewood-it’s a great, everyday blush shade and looks really natural on.

You can apply Dior Diorblush Cheek Sticks with a brush if you like. I like dipping my Real Techniques Stippling brush on it and then going to blush town on my cheeks. 😀  But fingers work just as well too! Just remember to PAT on the colour-a big mistake people make when applying cream blushes with their fingers is that they start rubbing on the product. Just gently pat, pat, pat your favourite shade onto your cheeks until you get the colour intensity you want and Bazinga! Perfectly cream-blushed cheeks!

Whaddaya’ think of these Blush sticks? Oh, and before I forget they twist up to dispense the product-no sharpening required. That would be one HUGE sharpener HAHAHAHA!

  • Ooh I like the Rosewood shade, very pretty. I love that seamless cream blush look

I have such a hard time with my cheeks! I have pale skin but rosy red cheek ‘apples’… ok that sounds weird. I don’t think it’s rosacea but it seriously interferes with my blush lovin’, so I have to conceal (don’t feel) and then pray that I don’t end up lifting off the concealer when I attempt to add blush. I swear I use a light hand!! Once i finally get the colour on, it’s generally patchy even though I’ve gone to the trouble of powdering over my cheeks – and even on those rare occasions where I decide to go sans concealer, it’s still patchy. BOOOO. As a result, I don’t go anywhere near cream products on my face since everything seems to dissolve whatever it is I’ve got going on underneath. Every once in a while a cream blush comes along and I’m reallllly tempted but I don’t think I’d try out such a primo product as this one. NYX has a cream blush line (I think??) and I wonder how it compares….any experience with that one?
Also, SO excited that you’re “going back to Cali, to Cali, to Cali”. Le sigh, one day we’ll get there, LOL! I just might have to put a halt to my lipstick impulses…

    • I have red cheeks too love! It’s all about the base for sure. You can’t put cream over powder, unless it’s something like this that turns to powder! This will work for you I think. We should have a coffee date and I can let you try them! I’ve never tried much from NYX…it’s not around me easily. No London drugs near by. 🙁
Going back to help Marky set up for her new digs! She’s sharing a house with 4 other girls so we need to get her bedroom furniture and set it up. SO MUCH WORK this trip is gonna be, but we are going to Disneyland after for SOME fun! I need fun!

      • Angela

YES that would be lovely! My dear, you have to check out NYX (sorry). It’s worth the drive, LOL. [though for me, it’s probably best that they’re a little hard to get to! I am SO impulsive lately] Their butter lipsticks (and butter gloss) are fairly raved about and their eyeshadows are delightfully pigmented “for drugstore”. Those are two products I’ve tried and have to agree with…can’t say much about the other products they offer but their brow pencil is supposedly comparable to the Anastasia wiz (whiz?). Their prices are creeping up but still cheaper than Urban Decay.
Yikes that sounds like a lot of work you’re facing but work hard – play hard! I hope it’s not too hot there or that Marky’s new place has AC! That’s standard in Cali, no? Safe travels 🙂

  • Gorgeous! I think the coral is my favorite. I am glad to hear these look more lit from within, as you said, than powdery because the last thing I want is five competing textures on my face lol

  • i’m not huge on oranges on me, but that Cosmopolite shade is so beautiful!!!!

  • I might need Cosmopolite Coral now! Really like Rosewood. Kinda happy I probably don’t need the pink one as well LOL

  • They look quite pigmented and gorgeous! Do you think this can be used on lips by any chance? Would it be too powdery and dry? Just curious! 😉

    • Nah. I think they’d be too dry for lips unfortunately. But on the cheeks they are lovely!

  • Liz

I don’t really like the stick format from luxury brands. Feels like for $40, they could offer something a little more visually pleasing, ya know? The swatches look good though!

    • I hear ya! It ain’t pretty for $41 for sure. But to travel with it’s fine! Storing them at home is another story.
They are a good product! Prob the best of the releases…the eyeshadow palettes on the other hand…WOW….I don’t even wanna review ’em.

  • Lily

Oh the coral one looks GOOD! I’m glad to know they’re not a flop. Dior hasn’t been awesome lately, and the fan girl in me is disappointed. This one however, I need to go swatch 🙂

  • rachlovespenguins

I’ve had my eye on the coral one, but the more I see them the more I want rosewood too. I blame you for my addiction. hehe!

  • Errrmahgerrrrd, I love ’em! Obviously the coral one looks amazing, but Rosewood looks super pretty too.

  • I want one for traveling! Although I’m not the greatest about using fingers with blush. I end up getting impatient and just smearing everything everywhere, lol, like a freaking toddler. THIS IS WHY I CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS.

If I get one though, I can’t decide? I love the orange, but Rosewood seems more useful.

  • I think you’d love them! They’re really easy to wear!

  • Yep for travelling I also like to be as brush free as possible. I need to check these out 1) to see how big jumbo they are (toooo jumbo isnt great for travelling) and 2) because I think I’d get along well with that rosewood shade… hhhmmm
