Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep- Beauty Sleep in a Jar

You know, there’s nothing like getting a good sleep. A GOOD DEEP SLEEP. It’s so rejuvenating, right? For your mind, your body, your soul….and your FACE. Hey, that’s when all your skin repairing happens! So if you don’t get enough sleep…it’ll start to show up on your face.

Why? Well, your skin is unable to set in motion its renewal and repair process if you don’t get enough sleep. There’s a one hour period between midnight and 1 am during which the skin’s renewal cycles say HEYYYY let’s get funky! Flaking, cell differentiation, restoration of the skin’s barrier function, boosting microcirculation and cellular reorganization–those funky five actions reach their peak during the night. And that’s called  the “skin’s deep sleep” and it’s so important to its health.

Well, Vichy has come out with probably the best sleep mask I’ve ever tried. Until now, my favourite has been the Filorga Sleep Recover Anti Fatigue Night Balm, which Phil @ Mirror Reality told me about. And you should visit his blog if you are a skin care junkie…the man KNOWS skincare and he teaches me so much. The Filorga was the first night cream that I could actually tell worked some kind of SOMETHING on my skin the next morning(I should blog about it I guess then, hey? 😛 ) When I use it, I wake up and look like I had the BEST sleep ever. I love it so much, I even bought a back-up within days of using it, and I love it still, I do.

But Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep? Works just as well, if not just that bit BETTER. Well, it’s a mask after all, so it should work better! And it’s CHEAPER than the Filorga, so win!

Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep($52) has ingredients that are capable of stimulating the skin’s deep sleep mechanisms to recreate and optimize their repairing effects.

  • Glycyrrizic Acid which comes from Licorice root and reduces skin irritation and ensures hydrated and supple skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid for hydrated, bouncy skin.
  • Caffeine to reduce fatigue and promote rested skin
  • Vitamin B3 for an even and healthy skin tone
  • repairing Oils(rich in omegas) provides supple and resistant skin

Oh, and of course there’s soothing Vichy Thermal Spa Water in Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep too. It’s Paraben-free and hypoallergenic and suitable for ALL skin types.

The texture is sublime! It’s a gel, yet feels very thick and balmy. And it’s PINK. I love pink skincare for some reason…makes me smile when I open the jar, ok? 😛  There is a gentle fragrance of jasmine and green tea, but nothing overly cloying and I find it dissipates quickly anyways. I apply a thick layer and wait about 20 minutes before hitting the sheets, just so that most of that goodness gets into my skin and not my pillowcase. I don’t NEED my pillowcase to look good in the morning haha!

Oh hey Mr. Rabbit thanks for visiting my little photo shoot…you like the looks of this Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep too, hey? i bet you could use a good night’s sleep too hahaha.

The next morning after using Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep, you won’t believe your eyes I swear. You face will look different. Younger! Rested! Smoother! And feel so hydrated! It’s seriously beauty sleep in a jar.

Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep

I have a lot of sleep masks….a lot. And I should do a smack down of all of them some day. And maybe I will. But honestly, I kind of feel no need to at the moment, because Vichy Idealia Skin Sleep would be the hands down winner for me anyways. I don’t even look at the others in my skincare drawer right now…

Find it where Vichy is sold like Shopper’s Drug Mart and Rexall Drugs! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by moi!

Happy Friday everyone! Do you use sleep masks? What’s your favourite?

I’m going through your Vichy archive. I need to write down products I’m interested in so when I’m ready to buy, I don’t have to do the research all over again. I’m now adding this to the list 🙂

  • I was curious about this! Good to know it works so well!
I went with Aqualia + Liftactiv 10 this time but initially considered getting the whole range of Idealia. Here in the U.S. Market they only offer the serum and the eye cream, but European has options of different moisturizers plus this mask.

    • SO GOOD LENA.

If there’s anything you need let me know! We have pretty much everything here too! I’d be happy to send it!

  • I get to try this from ChickAdvisor and now I’m even more excited!

  • Oh so tempting! Glad to hear you love it so much! I haven’t really tried a sleep mask, but I know the Caudalie Moisturizing Mask could be used as one. You could always lay down a towel on your pillow so that it doesn’t get gunky!

    • WHAT??? DUDE you need to try a sleeping one!
And yeah, I cold but towels feel funny LOL.

  • This one wasn’t out when I told you about the Filorga 😀
I have yet to try this Vichy one, I’m totally into water sleeping masks right now.

    • I still love my Filorga though!! I can’t use this every night as it’s a bit TOO moisturizing so I use the Filorga still and ADORE it.

  • I’m currently using the Clinique moisture sleeping max, which is decent, but I definitely want more! And I do love Vichy!

  • I don’t think I’ve ever tried a sleep mask before. But you kind of got me hyped up now lol. Also, I feel the same way about pink skin care stuffs. I swear my Clinique Moisture Surge is perfection in a jar just for the color alone haha! 🙂

  • Stooooop it! Stop selling all these products to meeee! I hold YOU responsible for my bank balance being in the red all the time. Guess I’ll look for it when I’m in Belgium next weekend. It will be cheaper there than it is here. Stoopid Swiss prices.

  • Gosh darn it, Tracy. I now need to find this sleep mask. I don’t even sleep mask ever. I just want to look as good as your pillowcase!

  • I NEED IT. You know, I live by a Walgreens now and they carry Vichy, but OF COURSE THEY WERE OUT OF THE SERUM, the one thing I actually *needed* because I am almost done with my bottle. I am going to get this next! When I finish the night mask I have right now.

I haven’t seen these on the shelf yet. Some day I’ll get around to trying it. Do you wear the Idealia serum underneath?

    • Should be there soon! You can wear the serum underneath! I prefer using this just by itself though. It’s SO GOOD.

  • Vichy just keeps killing the skincare game! This sounds incredible. I cracked up about the get funky skin hour, lol!! I need to work on my sleep cycle because I usually GET IN BED between 12 and 1….not a lot time for the skin to get funky if I’m still watching HGTV and Forensic Files. 😉 Also, that rabbit is HUGE!! Forever and HARE amen! 😀

I just tried this and totally in love with this. I have tried a few other hydration masks and this has to be my top 3. My other ones include the Origins Drink Up Mask and the Laneige SleepPak. The Laneige one is very similar in terms of texture. They are both gel-like.

    • Isn’t it amazing? I have the Lineage one too! I like it, but I don’t know this one seems just that bit better to me!
