Get Your Skin Summer Ready With Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk and Cellu Destock Serum Flash

It was 21C yesterday in Edmonton, and today it’s supposed to be 18C! That means it’s time to start thinking about showing that skin of ours that’s been hiding in sweaters all winter long! And I have two Vichy products to show you that will definitely help!

Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk & Vichy Cellu Destock Serum Flash

 Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk

Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk is quite different from other body moisturizers you’ve tried before! Why? Well, it has ingredients that are traditionally used in face products! It contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and help skin look hydrated and less wrinkled. It also contains LHA which is a micro-exfoliator to help skin look smoother and firmer. But Vichy didn’t just stop there oh no! There’s TEN oils as well in Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk! With Apricot kernel, Passionflower, Corn, Rice Bran, Sunflower, Blackcurrant Pips, Rosehip, Coriander, Macadamia and Jojoba oils. Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk will intensely hydrate as well as make your skin look warm weather ready.

Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk($22.50) has a milky, fluid-gel texture and as you can see it’s fairly thin and spreads easily. It just melts into skin instantly and you can get dressed right after using it. No greasy basted turkey feel with this one! As you can see, there are mother-of-pearl particles to enhance the skin. They are subtle, but you can see them on your skin. The scent is quite lovely and my nose would describe it as an amber floral, and it does linger for a bit on the skin. But it’s a nice clean smell and nothing overpowering I promise. I think it’s pretty much a perfect moisturizer for warmer weather and worth picking up next time you’re at the drugstore.

Vichy Cellu Destock Serum Flash

Vichy Cellu Destock Serum Flash($50) is also inspired by face care serums and is formulated with 3 powerful active ingredients: 6% pure caffeine, hyaluronic acid & salicylic acid. It also has light reflecting pearls for an instant skin blurring effect. Now, this is no magic potion that’s gonna make you slimmer and cellulite free. Sorry! Believe me, I wish there was a cream that would do that! But combined with exercise, Vichy Cellu Destock Serum Flash will help your skin look smoother and firmer thanks to those ingredients. It will help out the effects of exercise quite a bit, reducing the appearance of cellulite by up to 20% in 14 days. You need to use it twice a day for optimal results, which is usually my problem with these kinds of products. I tend to forget that part! Seriously, you have to be a keener! Putting on a body product twice a day is too much work for me hahaha! So, I can’t really comment on whether the claims are true about cellulite reduction. And honestly, I can’t say this enough: exercise will REALLY make your cellulite look better. So get out there and find something you love to do and you’ll see results I promise! Vichy Cellu Destock absorbs quickly as it’s a thin, caramel tinted serum, so you can immediately get dressed after application as well. But, it does instantly make skin look better by kind of blurring imperfections, which is really cool! It smells a little herbal though, with a hint of mint. Not my fave scent to be honest, but it’s not strong at least and doesn’t last.

Both of these Vichy products well really help get your skin looking good for warmer weather I promise!

Happy Friday everyone! Warmer weather finally! I hope the weather is beautiful where you are too! But to be honest, Edmonton needs a couple of days of really good rain to clean and green things up. Everything looks so…yellow and dirty right now! Where’s the April showers Mother Nature?!

I’m really liking this new body serum trend! The texture is more my style and I actually USE them compared to heavy body butters. Have you tried a body serum yet?

  • Hey Tracy, I actually got an anti-cellulite lotion type of thing from Vichy recently but I haven’t cracked it open yet! I think I’d like a serum type of thing in summer, but even for the moment I need a good lotion. My skin isn’t dry dry, but it is drier than when I was younger and living in Taiwan. Oh joy :p

    • Yeah they have a couple of cellulite lotion things from what I gather! I’m lucky, my limbs aren’t as dry as my face, so the serum is just enough for me! And you could totally layer a cream on top of the serum-they actually have a cream too just for people like you!

  • The Body serum sounds perfect. The skin on my body is bone dry but I can’t stand the greasiness of butters so that could be the answer!

  • I have (well, had) that serum milk too and I liked it a lot! Very light indeed, yet still moisturizing enough.

  • it was 21C in toronto yesterday too!! unprecedented!
lol yea i saw someof their cellu line at an event and wanted to just walk down the product aisle with my arms outstretched to load my bag but i figured nothing could actually decrease my cellulite without putting in my gym time. (damn it *shakes fist*). i’m like the 20% reduction + exercise thing though…hmmm…might have to consider.

    • Yeah hahahaha I hear ya! I’m the same and wish it would help! But use this in addition to and it works well!

  • Lily

OMG I’ve never been interested in body products but I WANT THESE!! Darn Vichy… now I have to find it online. And with the new tax implementation, I have a feeling my parcel might be held up so they can extort more money from me. UGH!!

    • UGGGH taxes suck! But yes! There’s one form Vaseline too that’s come out-maybe that one is easier to get for you?

  • I’ve never even heard of body serums! Man, I gotta try these out for myself!

  • I think using more technical skincare ingredients like hyaluronic and exfoliating acids is going to be the new thing in body creams. I’m not familiar with LHA though, do you know what it is?
I was surprised when I moved to the US that there weren’t more anti-cellulite creams at the drugstore. In France it’s a HUGE market. I’ve actually used Vichy cellulite treatments before, but just like you, applying twice a day is too much work for me, lol!

    • LHA is Vichy’s patented ingredient which helps to regulate sebum and eliminate shine-I think it’s a form of lactic acid to be honest.
Yeah I saw that in Paris actually! LOTS there!

  • Liz

I really like the body serum but tend to avoid cellu-targeted products. Just never thought that they worked? Might have to give this one a try though. Not as svelte as I used to be, ha!

  • Yes! I am terrible at moisturising my body in general because of the feeling, so anything light and refreshing speaks to keep. Loving this body “serum” trend.

    • Me too! You’ll love these! There’s one from Vaseline that I’m trying that’s just as good and WOW I love it.

  • Ooh, the Body Serum-Milk sounds awesome! I need to use up all my body butters and stuff before buying it though! Ugh, jealous of your weather. It’s been nicer here but highs of only, like, 8 🙁

    • It’s been colder here today and the will be the next few days. Alberta you never know what you’re gonna get with the weather!

  • Honestly all body products should be formulated like this – why shouldn’t we pamper our bodies with the same quality ingredients as we do on our face? I love a product that soaks right in too! Lately I’ve been struggling with a body butter that practically has to ‘melt’ before it decides to absorb – after many minutes of stubborn rubbing! Lol

    • EXACTLY! I hate body butters that make you feel like a greased up turkey-no thanks man! I much prefer this texture!

  • My mom is using something new from Vichy destock, 14 days till results.. I’m curious because she never used anything on her legs.

    • Yeah there’s a new one I think? I’d like to try it too! Ask her what she thought I’m curious as well!

  • Ahh Vichy, how I love thee! The Ideal Body Serum sounds lovely, I love products that absorb quickly, I am too impatient to wait for them to dry and get dressed.

I don’t really believe in any miracle celllulite reducing products. Like you said exercise is the key!But I do like the fact it has a blurring effect, kind of like Jergens BB BodyCream! Have you ever tried it?

    • I have tried that Jargons one and loved it! It’s great! But this Vichy one blurs even more. It’s really cool. But yeah, nothing works like exercise!

The serum is divine! And smells so good!
