Make Up For Ever Give In To Me Set|Inspired By Fifty Shades Of Grey

The Make Up For Ever Give In To Me Set($90 CAD, $79 USD) is the other thing I’ve been putting off reviewing because of my feelings about the book/movie. Like I said, I’m not a fan of the book/movie. But I’m a HUGE Make Up Forever Fan…so YES to this collection …sort of…I mean I can’t back up this abomination of a box though… like NO.

This eye palette is GORGEOUS. I can’t say enough about this new MUFE eyeshadow reformulation. It’s just insanely good. Swatchy Time!

The eyeshadows are crazy good…buttery smooth, pigmented, blend like a dream…although S556 the taupe grey which for sure I thought would be my fave in the bunch… is a bit harder than the others to work with. Just a bit. It’s just a little bit stiffer is all, but still workable! Keep in mind that you can build your own palette with MUFE…so you don’t have to buy this set and silly box. I just say get some of these eye shadows in your stash because they are CRAZY GOOD. You just gotta’.

The Make Up For Ever Graphic Liner in my eyes is the real star of this set! If you love liquid eyeliner and wear it every day? You need this puppy!

SO GOOD.

I don’t wear liquid liner often, but this??!! If it came in a bunch of other colours besides black? WOULD TOTALLY CHANGE MY MIND DUDES. So easy to work with! I passed this along to Marky who wears a bold cat-eye every day. She loves it, and it has has de-throned her previous Holy Grail Stila liquid liner. It’s just that much better! So black, so pigmented and stays put all day.

In the kit you get a Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip gloss in D-14 and  Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipstick in N4, and along with the graphic liner??!! I’d buy MULTIPLES of these three things. They are just such great products!

Swatchy Time!

Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Lipstick in N4 is like the perfect MLLB shade, and the formula is one of the best out there…I think it’s highly underrated. Really moisturizing, nice pigmentation and lasting power…I need to get more that’s for sure!

Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip gloss in D-14 is actually the first I’ve ever tried from the brand, and it’s REALLY good. Like DIOR lipgloss good. Smooth, nicely pigmented but not too much, glossy and comfy to wear even if there’s sparkles in there. I’d get more if I was a serious gloss girl that’s for sure!

Here’s a pick of me from my Instagram, wearing everything from the Make Up Forever Fifty Shades Of Grey, including the Make Up For Ever Desire Me Cheek Set I reviewed the other day:

Make Up For Ever Give In To Me Set

Honestly the whole set is a steal when it comes to Make Up Forever. But, if like me, you can’t stand the whole movie/book crap…I say buy some of these things individually. There’s not one dud of a product in the whole set. Honestly. But that box?! It went into the trash as soon as it entered my home. Screw off Mr. Grey.

PHEWWWWW…I’m so glad to get this last Fifty Shades Of Grey review done and DONE. Again, I can’t stress enough how much I adore the products…but the whole association with the movie? Kinda bothers me a bit. It makes me wonder what Dany Sanz was thinking…why she’d lend her name..her amazing products…let them be associated with this trash. If you’re out there Dany, let us know. I’m sure I’m not the only woman out there that wants to know WHY.

OMG Tracy!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING FROM THIS SET!!!! I wanted to try the mascara for the longest time, and eye shadows and lip colours are totally my shizz and the liner was raved by Raewhale. Man, I know I won’t get this because I won’t be heading to Sephora any time soon. Bummer 🙁
I love this whole look on you too. Gorgeous 🙂

  • Ahhhhh THAT QUAD!!! THAT QUAD!!! Definitely my favorite thing here! You wear it well, and I think I can pull it off as well 🙂

So. This whole Fifty Shades nonsense… I am as disappointed as when I found out Lisa Eldridge did Kim K’s makeup LOL But I guess it’s all for publicity. Good or bad, it’s publicity. Not that I support a philosophy like this, but I can see why brands (or people) do it. Oh well.

    • It’s a lovely quad for sure!! Yes you can!
I guess that’s it hey? Like if you weren’t into makeup, but a serious fan of the books, you’d probably want to get this set.

  • whoa, those colours are BEAUTIFUL. I’m also a diehard fan of Stila Stay All Day and Kat Von D Trooper, so this is SUPER interesting! PS you wear a cateye really well!!

    • Yeah, she says this is better! The tip is easier to work with she says. And it’s not as shiny as the Stila!
Thanks haha but it’s so much work to do it-my eyes are so asymmetrical, so it takes forever to match them, and then one of my eyes is more hooded then the other and it’s just UGGGH.

      • ahahah this is LITERALLY me every time I put eyeliner on. It’s such a nightmare, but if I take the time to do it right it I LOVE it.

  • Liz

I laughed so hard when you said OBEY THIS YOU JERK. That box is seriously awful. 50 Shades aside, MUFE did a great job with the sets. I haven’t been so tempted in about five years.

    • 😛 I couldn’t help myself hahahaha.
They did a great job I agree, The products have all been really good!

    • Eyeshadow Addict

I can always count on Tracy! Ha ha! I love this set. The eyeshadow palette is BOSS.

  • rachlovespenguins

Such unfortunate branding for such a pretty look!
You might have gotten the obeythisyoujerk out of your system but I for sure haven’t. The first time I saw this set I was like, “Mr Grey will see you now”?!?! Are you frickin kidding me?!? I believe there was some twitching action thrown in there as well. Actually photos of it still make me twitch so this unfortunate MUFE/50 shades association will probably be causing me grief for some time yet. At least the products are pretty. I’m going to admit though that I was really hoping they’d all turn out to be duds so I could dismiss it in its entirety. As it stands now I have no need for this set because I wouldn’t use 90% of it, but the cheek colour set is still tempting.

  • Hahahaha this stuff still makes me laugh. That box is horrendous. Hahahahaha.

Ok. That liner is next. I have two right now so it has to wait. BUT I’M COMING FOR IT. The lipstick is pretty and I also love the way the eye quad looks! But you’re right, it’s available individually, so screw this 50 shades nonsense, lol!

  • Your eyeshadow color….!!!! all the !!!!!!!!!!!!! Adore it! Yeah, the movie. No comment. So freaking over pop culture.

  • Haha burn that box!! But man I need that liner. I wear a cat eye mostly every day so that will go on my list. And I love their lab shine gloss formula so much!

  • Emma Bovary

That quad though, wowza! I need to get into MUFE more, seems like such amazing quality!

  • I give exactly 0.0 fucks about Fifty Shades Of Grey but I agree, the products look amazing! I love the colors, they’re so me.

  • Nor Saimah

Oh my. The lip gloss colour really compliment your complexion. I wonder when this will be available in Malaysia. I can’t find it here.

  • LOL Tracy. ;D
Yeah, the eyeshadow colors are so gorgeous!
I don’t mind the box itself but all those words..eeeeek
Love the flicked eyelines. I’m going to practice looking at your pictures. 😉

  • Ooh, those shadow shades really are gorgeous, and perfect on you! Love the gloss too 🙂

  • Jaa

The liner is even better than the Stila one?!! Now you’ve got me all curious! I have a MUFE palette that came out last year and it has the new shadow formulation which is so pigmented and smooth!

Yay for you for getting the review done. I don’t get the whole Fifty Shades Of Grey thing, either! I’d rather buy individual pieces that I like. 🙂

  • Does that liner sell on its own? I need to check Sephora’s website! I love liquid liners but I don’t know if anything can beat my Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner! The whole collection is really pretty but honestly I was surprised too about MUFE collaboration on that movie. Money makes the world go around, I guess.

  • Aaaah it’s so funny to see Avène in Canada, some products look completely different but they’re exactly the same content no doubt. The cleanance expert is in a squeeze tube here, you get a pump.. oeh did they give you the new for men range or the showergel?

  • That whole colour scheme is so gorgeous – AND I’M WITH YOU ON THAT WHOLE GODFORSAKEN FIFTY SHADES OF CRAP ASSOCIATION! Sorry. Just that I had the same internal conflict when I did my OPI posts. I couldn’t read the book(s) and I have no intention of seeing the movie :p

  • Also not a fan of the book/movie but hello, that set is GORGEOUS!

  • I have managed to avoid seeing the actual movie, and I can’t believe the branding but the eye palette colours are amazing! x

  • Steph

I love the way you did your eye makeup. Very beautiful!

  • Maggie

I’m soon annoyed with myself that I waffled on getting this, and now it’s sold out on the site and gone from the stores. Boo. 🙁

  • Wow! Hot child in the city! You look beyond slammin’ in this last photo, girlfriend! This whole set is working well for you! For someone who rarely uses liquid liner, your wing is KILLING the GAME! I haven’t used liquid liner in a while (well over a year, maybe closer to 2) and tried to do a wing with one this weekend and ZOMG – hilarity fail! You should’ve seen the gap between my lash line and the liner – definitely not snap worthy, lol!

  • Toya

Yep, the 50 Shades deal is shitty, but the prodz are AWESOME, eh? And holy moly does it all look BANGIN’ on your face, Tracy!! Let’s just be thankful that they didn’t do any fancy packaging associated with the book/movie!! 😉
