Vichy Normaderm Night Detox

Do you wake up with oily skin? And that makes you scared to use a night cream? I hear ya. I used to have oily skin, but it’s become dehydrated over the years. It’s not really and truly dry skin, because my nose is still oily when I wake up in the morning. So, I’m careful to not apply my night treatments on my nose, because all that does is make my already huge nose pores get clogged and BIGGER. No thank you!

Vichy has come out with a product to help decrease excess oil production at night, Vichy Normaderm Night Detox($29.95).

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox Sciencey Time!

Your face produces sebum. Yup. You knew that. That sebum production peaks twice: around midday, which is why we get shiny around lunch time, and around midnight. Vichy Normaderm Night Detox targets the midnight sebum production so that you wake up with FRESH, CLEAN feeling skin rather than dull, greasy skin. It also keeps on working to help lessen that midday oil spill as well. 🙂

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox contains:

Eperuline– an extract from the bark of a tree that has anti-inflammation properties

LHA– β-lipohydroxy acid, kind of works like Salicylic acid.It decreases the concentration of bacteria found within the pore and is effective exfoliant.

Hepes-Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid- this is a buffering agent, which helsp to reduce irritation

Salicylic Acid– exfoliates skin and can improve its texture and color. It also helps with acne.

Perlite– a porous volcanic rock that absorbs humidity. Perlite provides a mattifying action to reduce skin shininess.

So what will Vichy Normaderm Night Detox do for you? Well, first of all you won’t be overproducing sebum. You’ll start to notice that you’ll be less oily as the day progresses. In the morning, you’ll wake up with clean feeling skin, brighter looking skin. Over time imperfections will lessen, and pores will become less visible.

Now, I can’t use Vichy Normaderm Night Detox all over my face. BUT I do use in on my nose! It takes a bit of time to absorb, but once it does it makes skin feel kind of refreshed. It’s neat. But the best part is that I don’t wake up with grease nose anymore, and my large pores are looking better all the time. And cleaner! I think Vichy Normaderm Night Detox would be worth a try if you suffer with oily skin for sure. You can find it wherever Vichy products are sold across Canada.

Whaddaya’ think? Do you have oily skin? Have you found a product that’s been helpful like this one?

  • Oh interesting! I don’t tend to care about how much oil I slather on my face at nighttime, but if this will reduce the amount of sebum my T-zone produces over time, I’m in!

  • Vichy makes some cool stuff, huh? I’ve been using that serum! Not too long yet, so I can’t be positive, but I think I like it!

    • They sure do! I am on my 3rd bottle of that stuff. And Marky ran out in California and want more. If she likes it, well that’s GOLD stuff for me LOL. She’s so freakin’ fussy.

  • Lily

I have normal conbination skin which isn’t too bad. I don’t mind using richer creams at night, but less visible pores? I think I might have to try this.

  • Oh! I think I need me loads of this! Got dehydrated skin too, but I’ve grown to not care that I wake up an oil slick, as long as my pores are blocked and yuck.

  • I’ve tried and emptied this one. So yeah, that pretty much means that I liked it 🙂 I never repurchased it though… maybe I should.

  • Definitely tempting! Anything designed for oily, sensitive skin is always up my alley 🙂 I sometimes use the Normaderm Anti-Age, and it’s also fab!

I have to write about this myself but let me just tell you as an oilier person: I freaking love this product. But it’s less about oil control for me. It just makes the face look much better somehow.

    • YAY! I knew if it worked on my nose, it’d be great all over for oily skin! Can hardly wait to read it Liz!
