Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette #746 Golden Shock ($61) is the second eyeshadow palette in the Dior Golden Shock Holiday 2014 Collection, and it’s just as stunning as the Golden Reflections Palette.
Pretty, huh? This is a warm palette, so for those of you that love warm, golden shadows this one’s for you! The eyeshadows are pretty easy to work with, blend beautifully, and last all day over a primer.
Yeah, that purple shadow surprised me too! It’s more of a wine shade, which is a bit harder to wear, at least for me. It’s ok used sparingly like in the outer V, but don’t try it on your bottom lash line. On me, it really looks like my eyes are bleeding if I do that, and the same if I use it as a lid shade. If you are darker and warmer skin-toned than I am, I think it’ll look fine though. The light pink shade is a pale, warm matte pink with gold glitter thrown in there. I’d much rather it have been straight up matte, but it’s a pretty brow bone highlight. The shade that’s the stand out for me is that fourth shade I swatched, which is the bottom left one in the palette. It is stunning! A warm gold shade with a pink subtle duo chrome quality.
Can you see what I’m talking about? I hope so! It’s really pretty, and I have nothing like it in my stash. It’s like a warm version of MAC Vex eyeshadow and looks amazing on the lid. It really glows!
Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette #746 Golden Shock is another pretty palette from the Dior Golden Shock Holiday Collection, and it’ll be available at The Bay here in Canada pretty soon! This week I think! So if you have your eye on this one, I’d be getting it toot sweet!
Which of the Dior Golden Shock Palettes do you like better? Golden Shock? Or yesterday’s Golden Reflections? I prefer the greyer, cooler, metallic Golden Reflections.
