Two Avon Skin So Soft Products I’ve Been Loving All Summer

Remember Avon Skin So Soft? Of course you do. It’s iconic Avon! Well, there’s so many new products under the Avon Skin So Soft umbrella these days. Lemme introduce you to a couple that have become staples in my daily routine this summer.

Avon Skin So Soft Aqua Express Moisturizing Body Milk, Avon Skin So Soft Firm & Restore DD Body Cream

Avon Skin So Soft Firm & Restore DD Body Cream SPF 15($16) is one I’ll keep on using all year round to be honest, but this summer it’s been my go to moisturizer for my arms. It’s not greasy and absorbs quickly. And I love that it has SPF 15 too! It’s not as tinted as the Jergen’s Body BB Cream, but it still makes my arms look better. It evens out skin tone and gives a nice, healthy sheen to my arms. Avon Skin So Soft Firm & Restore DD Body Cream also seems to tighten up skin a bit too thanks to the bit of caffeine in it. And I like the way it smells too- light and green. Good stuff!

Avon Skin So Soft Aqua Express Moisturizing Body Milk($9.99) is what I’ve been using to moisturize after my showers in the evening. It’s been such a hot summer here, and after showering, I kind of dread the thought of slathering heavy moisturizers all over my fresh, cool and clean body. I really like that CLEAN feeling, and most moisturizers just ruin it for me. This is a refreshing spray moisturizer that contains shea butter and vitamin E that’s super light and absorbs in seconds. It contains watermint oil, so it smells  green, watery and a bit floral to to me. No mint what the hey, but it’s kind of cooling on the skin so that’s really nice. It doesn’t ruin that I’M CLEAN feeling, so it’s a winner for me!

Get them both on right now. And don’t forget to pick up that bug spray dudes. Seriously, it’s good stuff.  No more bites at all!

To be honest I’m not a fan of heavy body moisturizers at any time of the year. I like ’em light and fast. NOT STICKY. Or oily either. What’s your preference?

Body milks always sound so good! In the summer I like lighter lotions too, although I still use the heavy stuff for hands, feet, knees and elbows. In winter, I like being basted like a turkey in butters and oils. 😀

  • I haven’t tried a spray moisturizer, and I’m pretty curious! I want my lotion to be rich enough, but not so rich that it’s sticky or anything. For the moment, my go-to is the Caudalie one. I’m running low though!

  • Lily

Spray moisturizer. Interesting! Definitely a fan of lightweight non sticky formula. We’re lucky the weather here is not dry – shows on the skin too 🙂

  • I prefer lighter lotions in the summer too.

  • Great. More brands that I cannot have. >:-(

I personally like my body products thick and rich though, even in summer. I’m a body butter gal all the way!

  • Avon Skin Soft! I used to love their shower gel. 🙂
I am a big fan of light weight lotion myself! I’d still like tube packaging because a spray top sometimes gets clogged and messy.
I want to switch more moisturizing option for sun protection for my body as the weather is cooling down. This sounds nice!

  • There is a moment here in Atlanta when the humidity and temperature reach that down-home feeling of “just outside the entrance of hell” when I can safely put away the body lotions for a couple of months. I have dry body skin and chap like a mofo all fall/winter, but in the summer, it’s no problem b/c the air is so full of agua it doesn’t bother me to skip the losh. Oh and I TOTES AGREE – there’s nothing good about applying heavy moisturizer to a clean body during the summer! It feels like it traps the heat in and your skin can’t breathe and you sweat like a donkey (speaking from experience)! I haven’t used SOS in years, but I love the sound of their new line!

    • AHAHAHAHAHA your description of Atlanta kills me! Yeah, I could NEVER live their. I need to find someplace that doesn’t get hotter than 17C and not colder than -10C. I’d be happy there!

      • There’s a reason the characters on TWD look like they’re covered in baby oil during the summer shots – it’s just dastardly hot. 17C to -10C. So basically northern California! 😀 I’d be happy there, too. VERY HAPPY! I’ve never even been to CA but have always felt pulled toward it. Maybe in another life I lived there and sold basil plants. LOL!

      • BASIL plants!!! Every time I go to the US and go to Trader Joes I DIE at the basil plants. HOW BIG THEY ARE. If I grow them here the leaves are so TINY. KILLS ME!

      • I love you. That is all. <3

      • I LOVE YOU. xo
