Live Clean Exotic Vitality Monoi Oil Leave-In Treatment & Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Treatment

We all love and use hair oils these days. They make your hair more manageable, less tangled and restore shine. They treat dryness, damage, split ends, and frizz. Hair oils replace essential moisture lost during shampooing and styling. They protect your hair from damaging heat tools, brushing, combing, and environmental elements. There’s nothing more effective at making hair smooth and sleek.

But did you know that most hair oils contain silicone? Silicone is non-biodegradable and bioacculmulative, which means it’s harmful to the environment. You all know I’m not a huge fan of the stuff, and I hate that it’s even making its way into my beloved blushes. And I can’t STAND silicone products in my hair. I can instantly tell when I’ve used something with silicones on my hair because it’ll feel heavy, weighed down and coated, if ya’ know what I mean. Plus it’ll make my scalp break out. No thanks, man.

Live Clean proudly introduces two new hair oil products, Live Clean Exotic Vitality Monoi Oil Leave-In Treatment and Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Leave-In Treatment. The third oil you see in the picture is the amazing Live Clean Age Resist Miracle Nutrition Oil I posted about HERE, so take a look at that review for info on it. In a nutshell, it’s a dual layer oil that you use as a pre-shampoo treatment that not only smooths hair, but makes it thicker and fuller looking too. AMAZING stuff.

Live Clean Exotic Vitality Monoi Oil Leave-In Treatment and Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Leave-In Treatment

Live Clean Exotic Vitality Monoi Oil Leave-In Treatment strengthens hair with Monoi Oil from Tahiti. It penetrates the hair shaft and helps prevent breakage. It also has certified organic Jojoba Oil and Bamboo extract to hydrate brittle hair. If your hair is really damaged, Live Clean Exotic Vitality Monoi Oil Leave-In Treatment is perfect for you. Marky uses this one, as her hair is really long and this oil has helped restore elasticity.

Live Clean Exotic Silk Keratin Oil Leave-In Treatment is the one I can’t live without now! If you have dry, frizzy hair you need it. NOTHING compares to how well this smooths hair. It has Buriti Oil from Brazil which is really rich in beta-carotene to repair, smooth and increase hair’s elasticity. Live Clean also added Macadamia Nut Oil and Wild Flower Honey to tame frizz and make it shiny!

Now, these Live Clean hair oils are different from other oils you’ve used. You only need a few drops. Seriously. The first time I tried them I pumped the usually amount I use with other hair oils and it was WAY too much. Because there’s no silicone in these babies, less is more! Place 1-2 drops of oil in the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. This will ensure a thin layer. Then, lightly comb your fingers through your hair from the mid-section to the ends, distributing as evenly as you can. Start with one side of your head, then the other. You can use them as an overnight treatment as well if you wish, but again don’t use a lot! And you might want to cover your pillow with a towel and pin your hair up and out of the way. Personally, what I do is put some in my hair before I exercise or clean the house. Works for me! You can also apply a few drops to dry hair before swimming to protect it from the harsh effects of chlorinated water too.

With Live Clean oils you don’t have to worry about build-up. Live Clean’s formulations are water soluble, rinsing out easily and completely; they won’t build up on the hair as hair oil products with silicone do. And the other thing? These hair oils are affordable! At only $11.99 each, you don’t have to dish out a ton of cash for a hair oil like that one that rhymes with….what the heck rhymes with Moroccan? I can’t think of anything…if you do let me know! haha 😀  Subtle, hey?

Do you avoid silicones in your hair products as well?

*products sent by PR for review, thoughts are mine as always as is the joy of finally having silicone-free hair oils!

  • OooOooh! These look and sound nice! I think I’m more drawn to a proper hair oil rather than the slippery, ‘light’ oils that probably contain a lot of silicones, but I’m gonna need to check if my cheapo random brand argan oil contains any.

    • Yeah, it’s hard to avoid them in hair oils truth be told. These are an amazing product for sure! More people need to know about them!

  • Gaelle

Wild Flower Honey! Sounds lovely! I’m trying to avoid silicones and SLS but it’s a tough battle, they’re everywhere!

  • I try to avoid silicone in hair, but dang it’s hard. I don’t use a ton of hair products, though, so I guess it’s okay.

  • I try my best to avoid silicones in my hair care (my shampoo & conditioner are silicone-free!), but most of the hair oils I use are full of the stuff. I must try both of the Monoi and Keratin treatments though. Dying my hair pink and purple really killed the ends!

    • I love your hair Ashley! And yes! Get both. I use both of them and they are really great.

  • Excuse my heart eyes, but WHAT these are all silicone-free?? 😮 😮

  • I don’t mind silicones in general, but I do try to use clarifying shampoo periodically to prevent the buildups.
These sound amazing! I’m impressed about the “patented alternative” bits. I will see if you have these around here. Seriously, you Canadian girls get so much better. ;-/

  • Lily

I wish we get more choices here! Most brands are those drugstore ones, full of silicones and parabens, etc… and the others which don’t are so hard to find. I hope that’ll change soon!

  • Liz

I’ve been curious about this brand – never tried anything from them yet! The oils sound a lot like that Badger one that I tried some months ago. Will have to go sniffing to see which scent is best.
