RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream Review

Sometimes I feel like another month goes by, another BB Cream debuts! I thought pretty much everybody under the sun that makes skincare and cosmetics had made a BB Cream by now. But, I was wrong! HAHAHA. There’s still a couple that this old Makeup Junkie has to try out!

RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream

One of my favourite French skincare brands, RoC has finally launched its new BB Cream, RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream It’s the first one to contain retinol, and that’s why it took so long to finally come to market. And THAT my friends, is SOMETHING! No other BB Cream on the market right now contains retinol. And for sure not Roc Retinol, which is one of the BEST around.

From the brand: RoC multi correxion 5 in 1 perfecting BB cream is a lightweight, multi-action product that helps perfect and protect skin in one simple step. This anti-aging perfecting cream with RoC retinol and sheer, blendable coverage: fights lines and wrinkles helps improve the appearance of dark spots smoothes uneven texture brightens skin tones moisturizes instantly.

RoC multi correxion 5 in 1 perfecting BB cream has an airless pump to ensure efficacy of the good for you skincare ingredients that RoC has put in there. YES. How happy that makes me, I can’t tell ya’!

RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream

RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream has the dreaded “colour adapting technology” that’s usually just a heinous word to us fair-skinned gals. But you know what? This time, it actually works quite well for me! But if you are fairer than I am, this probably won’t work for you. 🙁 For reference, I’m an NW 15 in MAC, or the first to second lightest shade in other foundations. Truth be told, I’m more neutral, so that NW 15 in MAC is just as easily an NC15. I can wear both quite easily, just depends on how I feel that day. I usually have to mix foundations to find a match, unless the brand does a neutral range. If your’e like me, Lancome and Clinique are really great at matching us neutral gals FYI.

Swatchy time!

RoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream swatch looks a tad dark for me in the swatch, but trust me! It does adapt to my skin tone quite well as you can see below in the pics!

Here’s the before and after with RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 perfecting BB cream:

before and after withRoC Multi-Correxion 5-in-1 BB Cream.jpg

The first pic is my sad bare face, the second is just wearing the RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Perfecting BB Cream, and the last is my full face of makeup.

RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Perfecting BB Cream feels GOOD on my face. It’s light and does exactly what I want a BB Cream to do: correct my red cheeks and even out my skin tone. And as you can see, it does that! In the last picture with my full makeup face, all I added on top of it was my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus, and some under eye concealer-that’s it for base makeup. Not bad, hey? I love that it has SPF25 in it as well. I always love when there’s added SPF to my foundations, but I don’t rely on them exclusively. I always use SPF 60 before any foundation or BB Cream. I can’t attest to any of the skincare benefits that this claims to give, like firmed up skin, reduced wrinkles and such, as I’ve only used it for a couple of weeks. Truth be told, I don’t expect any colour makeup products to really give my skin some kind of benefit. But this one has retinol! So I do have high hopes I will see something with continued use, like hopefully some reduction in pigmentation at least. I’ll report back for sure if I see anything.

I get a good 8 hours before RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Perfecting BB Cream fades on me. It feels comfortable on, and I don’t get oily at all wearing it. It’s a keeper! And worthy of a try this summer!

Find RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Perfecting BB Cream wherever it’s sold in Canada, like Shopper’s Durg Mart and Rexall.

The weather is getting warmer that’s for sure! Do you lighten up your foundation as well as the weather gets nicer? Do you favour BB Creams in the summer as well?

*product sent by the lovely PR for review, thoughts are mine!

  • Hey Tracy, I’m glad this works well for you! I’m all for lighter bases in spring/summer. I think my go-to foundation will be Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet. I also like the new EL Clear Difference BB Cream a lot, so that will be for casual days 🙂

    • I’ve also just tried the EL All Day Glow BB Cream and it’s really nice too! I love that one a lot!

  • I just started testing this out and found it leaned a bit dark/warm on me as well (I’m a neutral NW15 or lighter.. skin twins!)
I love all the lovely skincare ingredients though and hope that when I get my Summer face on, it will be a perfect match!

  • Sounds like an amazing product! 🙂

  • Not tried RoC yet, it’s so under the radar that I completely miss it, even when I see it in a see of mini displays of a bizillion brands. This sounds and looks amaze! I think it gives you a wonderful, natural summery glow!

  • I think I’m going to get the Origins CC cream, actually – it’s quite nice. This looks good, though!

  • Looks great! So neat that it has retinol in it too. I recently bought a Rodial bb cream from Winners that has their “Syn-ake” complex thing in it. No idea if it will do anything but I’m liking it so far!

  • Liz

I’ve given up the fight: BBs, CCs – come to mama. LOL I’m not too familiar with RoC but I know everyone likes them. This looks good!

  • Gaelle

Never tried anything from Roc but only ever heard good things. Suits you

  • Jayne

I’ve been testing this out as well and the pump is AWESOME. It wears quite well on me as well throughout the day and like you it corrects the redness in my cheeks and just evens me out.
