I thought I’d update you all on my progress with my Achieving Life Balance for 2014 goal. Since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I’ve lost 14 pounds! Wahoo! And that makes me so happy! It’s been hard work that’s for sure, but so slow. Being hypothyroid makes losing weight so much harder I tell ya. But truth be told, I like that it’s been slow weightloss, as that just means it’ll STAY off. Hopefully!
But I wanted to share a couple of things that have made losing weight fun and easy! And the first one is a snack that’s SO GOOD, I have to share it with you

Sweaty Bands have changed my workout life.
Before Sweaty Bands, I used to pin my hair back with a zillion bobby pins before workouts. If there’s one thing I can’t take, it’s hair in my face when I workout. I can’t STAND it. The shorter layers of my hair always slip free from my elastic pony tail holder too and fall into my eyes. But I have found the ultimate hair holder, Sweaty Bands. They’re a hairband made with a ribbon like material that has a signature non-slip velvet backing so they will not slip off, even during a sweaty Zumba workout. They absorb sweat AND stay on my head without slipping off. GENIUS. I only have this one right now, but I plan on getting more. They have loads of designs and different thicknesses too.
I’m a bit paranoid about this trip to California truth be told. I don’t want to gain back any of the weight I’ve lost, so I’m going to try to be careful. But we will be doing a lot of walking, so I shouldn’t worry so much I guess! Plus I plan on exercising too. I’ve downloaded the Zumba App onto my iPad, so I can Zumba in the hotel room if I want to!
