Sephora Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick and Ravishing Dew Cream Blush

Time for some lips and cheeks with this Radiant Orchid stuff, right? RIGHT!

The Sephora +Pantone Universe Collection Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick($22) is a satin finish lipstick that’s infused with actual Orchid essence for nourishment. COOL. It also has collagen to give a subtle plumping effect, which truth be told I kind of notice. My lips look…nicer when I wear this lipstick. Go figure.

But let’s get real. The Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick has to be the most gorgeous shade of purple-y pink, or RADIANT ORCHID I have ever seen!

Ok, CHEEKZ next. You all know how much I ADORE a good cream blush(BLUSH FIEND) so when I saw the Sephora Ravishing Dew Cream Blush, I was enamoured to say the least! I mean, look at that COLOUR. It’s unfortunately exclusive to the Radiant Femme Artistry Set that I keep telling you is the way to go if this whole Radiant Orchid thang speaks to you, like it SCREAMS to me. The Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick is in the set too, but thank goodness that you can buy it separately.

The Sephora Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick is wonderful! Like I said, I’m so glad that you can pick this one up separately, because YOU SHOULD. It’s $22, really comfy to wear, lasts forever, doesn’t bleed-AND it’s the easiest, peasiest way to wear Radiant Orchid on your face this year. GET IT.

Here’s what the Sephora Ravishing Dew Cream Blush looks like on my ample cheeks(and the lipstick too):

Sephora Ravishing Dew Cream Blush is really creamy and a traditional cream blush which I prefer to the new-fangled silicone filled blushes that keep surfacing with every DANG brand. Yeah, this is creamy. Yeah, it’s dewy. BUT THAT’S THE FRIGGIN’ POINT. And this one is REALLY creamy, so if you have combo or oily skin you might want to set it with some kind of powder so that it doesn’t move to your chin. Or in my case CHINS. It’s even a tad TOO creamy if I’m honest. This blush tends to move around a lot, so be careful with it. It’s best applied sparingly and carefully over cream foundation. Over powders, it’s just a mess, so don’t bother. Because the Sephora Ravishing Dew Cream Blush is so creamy, it blends really easily, so feel free to use your fingers or a brush-it’s totally up to your preference. Me? I like using my preferred cream blush applicator/weapon of choice, the Sonia Kashuk No.17 Blush Brushbecause DANG this is creamy stuffs. The brush makes it spread more evenly than my chubby fingers EVER could aspire to. I say TRUST THE BRUSH. But the colour is AMAZING. I mean look at it! I think it’s the perfect pink for every cheek out there. EVERY cheek.

Both of these products are easy ways to incorporate the Pantone 2014 Colour Of the year Radiant Orchid into your everyday makeup looks in an easy and understated way. My choice? Even though I’m a blush fiend, I have to say the Sephora Radiant Rush Matte Lipstick believe it or not. I think a lipstick in the Pantone 2014 Colour Of The Year is they way to go!

Blush? Lips? What do YOU think is the easiest way to wear Radiant Orchid on your face? Me, I can wear it every where and any place no matter what, so I’m really interested in what you think!

*products sent by the lovely PR, but as always, thoughts are mine because SERIOUSLY. My crazy is MINE and totally covered in Radiant Orchid at the moment.  [emoji smiling face with horns] WHICH is the best colour for crazy, dontcha’ think? Yeah I know, I’m a bit BIASED.

  • I really love the blush!

  • That lipstick. I need it. You look awesome!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Awww, thanks my friend! It would be lovely on you too!

  • boo0202

“Or in my case chins.” LoL!! Can sooo identify!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

  • Hey Tracy, these are SO your colors! I need to try some Radiant Orchid stuff. It’s a shade that I don’t own a lot in my stash 🙂

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Thanks Sunny!
Yes you do need some! Would be lovely on you!

  • This is just beautiful! Umm…so do they use all the numbers and formulas to get the color the *exact* shade of radiant orchid? There has been such a wide variety of what the color of the year actually is and Sephora’s take looks spot on from the original announcement.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Yes, it’s the exact paint-chip actually 18-3224. The number is on the eyeshadow palette.

  • Sara Hawkins

Hate the lipstick….way too pink. The blush looks too pink on the swatch but looks awesome on the cheek. I may have to try it out.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

I hope you try it out! It’s pretty!

  • inhermakeupbag

SO pretty!! Both look gorgeous on you. I love how natural the blush ends up appearing on the cheeks, too. I’ll have to check that one out in stores!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Thanks! Yes please do!

  • PEATIEST. Like scotch? 😀 😀 😀 I swear some of that stuff tastes like straight up moss. I mean, not that I know what moss tastes like. :X I swear. But I imagine that’s what it tastes like. Just like how some of those mixed field greens taste like Christmas trees. I haven’t actually EATEN a Christmas tree. But I bet that’s what it tastes like.

Um. Where was I going with this? ORCHIDS. I actually quite like orchids – but I like the deeper purple ones…that would make a sexy blush! But this one is nice, too! Very dewy, which I actually like as well.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL DUDE. Thanks for shooing me that boo-boo HAHAHA. I must have had scotch on the brain too!
I think a dark orchid blush would be gorge on you!

  • rachlovespenguins

I think blusher is definitely going to be the easiest way for me to use orchid on my face. More subtle. I should do a good rummage around though because I’m pretty sure I’ve got an older Estee Lauder lippy that’s almost the same colour. I’d not really give it much thought but apparently I used to rock orchid all the time. Now the question is what changed? My perception or my face? lol

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL hahaha probably just your perception. Neutral makeup has been so in the last few years, so getting people back into colour has been a tough sell I think.

  • Dang, your lips do look awesome. I think you have definitely convinced me about the lipstick. That is easy to wear and not too crazy orchidy for me :).

    • TracyBeautyReflections

See? I think it would be so pretty on you Margo!

  • Lily

*gasping for air* Why is Sephora so far away!?!?!? I have to check this out. Gorgeous!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      LOL hahahaha!

  • Seriously this color is so perfect on you! For me… hmmm… lips wouldn’t work out so well, but I think I could use it as a blush, as long as I kept it sheer

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Thanks lovely! I think you could wear both!

  • GAH I love this shade on you! I wasn’t so keen on meeting it as the color of the year, but it really does translate very well to cosmetics!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Thanks my friend! I know-who knew?

  • Emma Bovary

That is such a beautiful shade, I’m glad that it works so well with a range of beauty products (lips, cheeks etc)

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Emma, this shade would be AMAZING on you!

  • I love both of these products – pink/purple hybrids are so pretty!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

I agree! They’d look amazing on you!

  • Tracy, this really is your shade, it’s becoming more and more obvious with every radiant orchid post you do 😀

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Awww, thanks! So sweet of you!

  • Liz

WHY DON’T THEY SELL THAT BLUSH SEPARATELY?????????????????? *dies a little inside* LOL

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Hahahaha you blush fiend!

  • I have to agree with Kiss & Make-up: Radiant Orchid is YOUR shade! Looks so fantastic and youthful on you. Just loverly!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Awww, thanks babe! xo

  • 38noodles
