Another 5 Minutes with Mary Kay Springy Eye Duos and Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Gloss

Yesterday I showed you how to get ready in just 5 minutes with a couple of Mary Kay’s new products for spring, the Mary Kay CC Cream and the new Bronzing Powders. Today, I want to show you some of the colour collection, and what adding  just 5 more minutes to your makeup routine can do for your look. Ready?

But first a refresher picture on how the 5 minute Mary Kay Makeup looks like.

Let’s add some colour to the eyes first! These are the new Mary Kay Springy Eye Duos($18 CDA). They are Limited Edition, from the Hello, Sunshine! Spring Collection. Just click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see them better.

Mary Kay Springy Eye Duos Summer Sunset and Stonewashed

Mary Kay Springy Eye Duos are cream eyeshadows, and they have a springy, mousse-like texture that feels so neat. Bouncy! You can see what I mean about the texture in the picture above. They are sheer with a bit of sheen to them, except for the cocoa shade in Stonewashed as it’s matte. I have oily lids, so I need to use an eye primer first to ensure that they last longer, but if you are lucky enough to have normal lids, you should have no problem. They are so easy to use! You can create a pretty, spring eye makeup look faster than the time it takes you to brush your teeth!

Just pat on the gorgeous orange shade from the Summer Sunset Mary Kay Springy Eye duos onto the inner half of your eye lid, and then take the sky blue shade and put that onto the outer half of your lid.

Take the gorgeous matte brown from Stonewashed Mary Kay Springy Eye Duos and line your bottom lash line with it.

Then take a bit more of that matte brown shade and define your crease with it and Voila! You are done in 2 minutes. Not kidding-I timed it with my iPhone.  [emoji clock face three oclock]

Let’s add some colour to the lips now! My choice is the Mary Kay At Play Jelly Lip Glosses($12 each). Lip Gloss is fast and easy, and these are really great glosses. They are pigmented, moisturizing, not sticky, and last quite a long time. Just click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see them better.

Add a bit more bronzer to the cheeks- I added the Mary Kay Medium Dark shade onto the apples of my cheeks, some Violet Vixen Lip Gloss to my lips and Bazinga!

It’s amazing what adding a bit of colour can do to your look, hey? And all it took was another 5 minutes!

This week kind of flew by! I love short work weeks haha! Also, I’m getting kind of sad that the Olympics are almost over. 🙁 Are you?

*products sent by the lovely PR, thoughts are always mine, because seriously. Nobody controls MY crazy. It’s ALL MINE.  [emoji smiling face with halo]

  • I don’t want to sound like a CoverGirl ad, but that is some “easy breezy” pretty!
You look fresh and well rested as well. Love it! 🙂

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL hahaha that’s ok I love that CoverGirl vibe! Thanks my friend! xo

  • The glosses are pretty! I never really do much for the eyes when I only have 5 minutes though. I just put my glasses on anyways :p

    • TracyBeautyReflections

:D:D My glasses don’t have a frame all the way around, so you can see eye makeup on me! I always put a little something on, otherwise my eyes disappear.

  • Gaelle

The summer sunset duo looks great on your blue eyes! 10 minutes is closer to what I need to look human!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Thanks Gaelle! Hahaha Me too as you can see!

  • So fresh! I love! That springy eye shadow looks like the Shu blush texture!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

It does! I think a lot of companies are doing that bouncy texture in things now.

  • Those colors are so pretty on you!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Thank you Lily!

  • Eugenia

You’re the best, Lil Sis – love those juicy juicy glosses!
And we’ve already started having Olympics withdrawal… step: get the IOC to start an inquiry into the figure skating judges, cause we sure as hell got cheated out of 2 gold medals (Patrick Chan may not have skated at his 100% best, but at least he didn’t FALL FLAT ON HIS ASS plus Tessa & Scott were totally ROBBED. Rant over)

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL hahahaha I hate watching Figure Skating just for these kinds of reasons! I think the sport is still corrupt, but that’s me. I don’t get how someone who falls on his but can win a medal at all. Makes no sense to me!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

    :D:D thanks!

  • Lily

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Awww, thanks but NO. LOL.

  • Fantastic tutorial. 5 minute makeup is a necessity for me during the week. Can I second Liz and request a Youtube tutorial? 😉

    • TracyBeautyReflections
