Fair warning to you all-I might be reviewing a LOT of skincare this week, as I’m kind of behind in reviewing them to be honest. But I gotta share my thoughts about them! Because I feel a lot of honest and simple skincare reviews are few and far between these days. There’s just SO much out there these days to choose from. So read on if you are interested! If not, I understand totally.
I think I try a LOT of skincare. Like an absurd amount of it if I think about it. And if my skin could talk it would tell you that I NEED TO STOP PLEASE. So, when I happen to mention something that I like, I kind of mean it.
Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex is kind of amazing. Botanicals are the main ingredients, because Yves Rocher believes that they are the greatest source of energy in the living world. Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex is a combo of 7 plants with anti-aging power that’s backed up by COUNT THEM ALL-9 patents. NINE people. That’s a heck of a lot.
And what does this heavily patented skin care do for you? Well, it boosts skin’s energy reserves and reactivates its youth. HELLZ YES GIMME BACK THE 80s please! Maybe not the big mullet hair, but my skin back then? I’ll take it. Every bit of it.
Ingredients you need to know about in Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex:

Apple Oligosides: smooths wrinkles, boosts radiance and improves the global function of the skin

The Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex Skincare line is what you need to use if you are starting to experience the first signs of aging, which is probably WAY beyond my years, but I tried the line for you none the less. So, here’s my thoughts and faves!
The Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex serum($56 CDN) is my favourite of the line. It absorbs oh so quickly and leaves my skin so smooth! Personally, I love serums more than creams because the active ingredients are higher and therefore so much more effective. Plus I can use serums along with my other skincare faves if I so choose. I layer serum upon serum truth be told. SERUMS RULE and this is a really good one! It’s really great and I feel like I look more awake and my skin looks so much better now that I’ve been using it for about a month now. Worth your money for sure!
The Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex Eye Care Roll-On($42 CDN) is my other favourite in the line. It has a gel texture that’s so refreshing and cooling. It has a unique 3-bead applicator that’s really amazing and helps to massage the product into that delicate eye area. It’s great to use actually, as sometimes if I use my fingers I tend to manhandle that delicate eye area. But with something like this, I am more gentle, go figure. Put an applicator like this on my computer keyboard so I don’t slam the keys as I type PLEASE.
The other product I’m in love with is the Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex Eco Refill of the DayCare Cream for Normal to Combo Skin($49 CDN). First of all the cream is DIVINE. It’s kind of got a whipped up texture that absorbs instantly and doesn’t aggravate my sensitive skin at all, which means no breakout! PLUS you can just pop this into your day cream container when you are done without having to buy a whole new container. It’s GENIUS folks! Saves you money, plus helps to reduce waste. COOL COOL COOL.
The whole Yves Rocher Elixir 7.9 Complex line is something worth looking into, and is a great introduction into anti-aging skincare for you young-uns out there starting to notice some lacklustre and tired looking skin. There’s a day cream and night cream in the line too, and it really is a whole comprehensive skincare line. Although, if you have oilier skin, stick to the normal to combo versions, as the others can be a bit too much moisture for you methinks. Even for me, the rest of the line was WAY too much moisture for my skin to handle.
Are you experiencing some tired and fatigued looking skin? What do you use to look more wide awake? Do you find certain skincare products help you look more awake?
