Ditch The Winter Itch With Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula!

You know, I don’t normally get the winter itch. But this year I gots it, thanks to that no good thyroid gland of mine.  [emoji confused face] Luckily, these three products showed up at my doorstep last week, and baby-that winter itch is gone!

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil($9.99 CDN) is one body oil I actually really, really like. I usually find most body oils really heavy and suffocating(I’m talking to you Weleda). I mean, CRIPES how do you get dressed after putting that stuff on? Is it just me, or am I the only one who doesn’t like feeling like a butterball turkey [emoji poultry leg]  after a shower? I can’t stand it! BLECHHH. That suff leaves you looking like John Travolta’s hair in Grease-all shiny and slippery…ok I’ll stop now. You get the idea haha! [emoji face with stuck-out tongue]   Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Body Oil absorbs really quickly and leaves skin soft and silky smooth and NOT heavy and greasy. I can get dressed right after using it no problem. And I love the soft cocoa scent too. So relaxing! Plus it’s affordable too!

I love locking in that moisture with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion($6.99 CDN). It’s nice and light but gives me some added moisture with more Cocoa Butter and Vitamin E. For me, these two products have been more than enough to take care of my dry winter itchy skin.

But if you are REALLY having some trouble, you know suffering through that POLAR VORTEX sure can take a toll on your skin( I might be saying that in a mocking kind of way)-then you should add some of the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Concentrated Cream($8.49 CDN). This concentrated cream contains pure, natural cocoa butter, anti-oxidants and Vitamins A, C and E to soften, smooth and soothe very dry skin. It’s thicker than the Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion and ideal for hands, elbows, and knees that need some extra TLC. My book knee ALWYAS needs some extra love, so this is perfect!

You can find Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula at Walmart, Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart too! Check them out on Twitter @PalmersCanada.

So is it COLD enough for ya’ yet?  [emoji snowman without snow] What are some of your favourite products to beat the winter itch?

*products sent by the lovely PR and my moisturized skin thanks her!

  • Hey Tracy, so sorry to hear about the winter itch! I got it the first winter I was here, and a lotion from Eucerin saved my ass! We are still having a STRANGELY mild winter. I’m really afraid we’ll have a bad spring AND summer instead!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Hahaha SO jealous! We had a winter like that a couple of years ago. I think I wore just a long sweater most of the time and rarely needed an actual jacket!

  • Sara Hawkins

I find it’s too greasy for my skin. I prefer Aveeno. Also a little bitter about the Palmer’s cocca oil as it claimed to get rid of stretch marks. I used it religiously when I was pregnant and still have the tiger stripes to prove it. However, I love the smell of it.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Awww, that’s too bad Sara! It works for me! Lena said it helped her sister during her pregnancy, and it actually faded an old scar of mine too. I guess it can’t work for everyone!

  • OMG!! Palmer’s has been one of thsoe brands I’ve had around the house since middle school. I have a strange love for them. You’re the only other blogger I’ve seen talk about it. I think I started using their cocoa butter moisturizer when my dad had an ACL surgery when I was about 12, and the dr told him it would help decrease the scaring. I don’t know that it actually helps with that, but it definitely does a wonderful job of moisturizing! I like the body oil too, it’s great after a shower

    • TracyBeautyReflections

:D:D Hahaha sometimes the old stuff just works, ya know? The oil actually helped fade an old scar for me! I love the stuff!

  • It’s cooollddddd hahahahaha. I’m such a wuss, I know. I’m actually interested in that oil. Lotion takes long to put on, hahahahaha. I think I want another burnishing glace – love the spray application!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL hahaha. I like the spray of those too, but Marky STOLE them-she’s hoarding them!

  • Liz

I keep meaning to try these guys but I have so much stuff. 😡 And while I LOVE being basted like a turkey, I’ve been bad and skipping moisturizer lately. So, itch itch ITCH.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

HAHA, these are cheap! And work! I love em!

  • It was so cold and windy I wore my super(?) winter coat (I only wear this twice a year or so).
I still rely on lotion and creme during winter and reach for light oil in summer. reversed? But I can’t stand feeling cold while the oil absorbs cause I usually apply it on damp body.
Actually, my sister swears by this body oil. She said it saved her pregnant belly before. 😉

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Hahaha I love that you only need it for twice a year! 🙂 I hear ya! I just slather it on really quickly and make sure the heat is turned up! The oil actually help fade a really old scar I have so that’s cool to hear about your sis!

  • I suffer itchy skin in winter too and love Palmers! My other favourite anti-itch lotion is from La Roche-Posay for an unscented alternative 🙂

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      That’s a good one too!

  • Lily

Oh, I remember the flaky and itchy skin when I was in Minnesota. Eeps, the cold! I used this brand’s lotion when I was pregnant though… kept my skin moisturized enough 🙂

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      MINNESOTA??? WHYYYYY

      • Lily

My husband (then maybe boyfriend) was living there, going to the university and training for the Olympics, so I went there to visit. It was great!! But I really hated the cold >_<

      • TracyBeautyReflections

        AHHH! I see now!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

OoOH-I haven’t seen that here Emma! I hope it comes here!

  • I love a good oil. I bet this one would be good on cuticles too!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      It is!

  • Jayne

These make me smell like dessert all the time. I love them!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      LOL hahahaha

  • I love Palmer’s stuff. My sister hates the smell and I love it. I also like The Body Shop’s body butters for winter moisture. They smell so good too.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Me too!
