Reve Maxeville Handmade Cosmetics

Reve Maxeville Handmade Cosmetics is a small, now recently moved and Canadian company(New Brunswick!) that makes small batches of hand crafted lotions, soaps, shampoo, bath & body products and even cosmetics! Catherine Trudel is the founder and creator of Reve Maxeville. She began to create natural products for herself that would help treat the dermatitis that troubled her for years. She then decided to start making a few more products for herself such as foundation, hand cream, and face & body lotion, and hair care too. Catherine creates high quality products for both women and men that nurture your skin and hair and that smell and feel good. She uses nearly all natural ingredients in her products, including shea butter, cocoa butter, olive oil and sunflower oil.

Let’s start with cleansing shall we? Because that’s the first place we start!

Fresh squeezed Orange Soap.jpg

Reve Maxeville Fresh squeezed Orange Soap

Fresh squeezed Orange Soap($5 CDN) is a a rustic style soap that smells JUST like a fresh squeezed orange juice. SO FRESH.

Ingrediants: Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Sunflower Oil, Castor oil, Shea butter, Mica, Tussah silk, Aqua, Olive(Olea Europaea) Fruit Oil, COCOS NUCIFERA , Sunflower (Helianthus Annus) Seed Oil, Castor (Ricinus Communis) Seed Oil, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii) Fruit, Parfum, Sodium Lactate, Silk

I LOVE this soap. It lathers really well and leaves you feeling clean and fresh! And it doesn’t leave you too squeaky dry and clean either. GOOD STUFF. You can use this on your face and body, but I’ve loved it in the shower post Zumba dancing. It’s perfection. And there’s so many other yummy versions, like maple. HELLO.

Face Products next!

Reve Maxeville

Reve Maxeville Sunflower face lotion($6.50 CDN) is soothing and helps to reduce redness and inflamation in your skin and is great for acne prone skin. It has Pro vitamin B5 to help with cell regeneration and Oat protein to hydrate and condition the skin. It feels so lovely on the face! It absorbs fairly quickly, and leaves skin velvety smooth and ready for makeup. There’s no scent(YAY for some of you!) and is really lovely. No breakouts either, and that’s a HUGE plus for me!
The Reve Maxeville Sunflower Night cream($7 CDN) is a bit thicker in texture, and more moisturizing than the day version. It’s just as lovely though and you’ll wake up with lovely moisturized skin every day.

Reve Maxeville Face Scrub with Jojoba Pearls

The Reve Maxeville Face Scrub with Jojoba Pearls isn’t on the website at the moment, so I’m hoping it’s still available because this stuff is amazing! It smells like cocoa butter, and doesn’t have any big sharp scratchy thingies in it at all. The jojoba pearls kind of burst on your face after you rub a bit, infusing your face with the lovely oil. My face LOVES jojoba, so this scrub is like heaven for me. It works so well at hydrating my skin and doing a bit of exfoliation at the same time. Please tell me it’s coming back Catherine!

Reve Maxeville Coconut Hair Treatment.jpg

Reve Maxeville Coconut Hair Treatment

I have to say that the Reve Maxeville Coconut Hair Treatment($8.25 CDN) is probably one of the BEST hair masks I’ve ever tried. It smells DIVINE, and leaves hair smooth, silky, soft and shiny! It’s better than anything I’ve tried in a long, long time! Honestly, order this one. You won’t regret it at all!

Reve Maxeville Lipbalm Strawberry
Reve Maxeville Coconut & Curry leaf Hand & Body lotion

The Reve Maxeville Lipbalm Strawberry($3 CDN) is lightly sweetend with stevia and tastes like real strawberries. LOVES me a great natural lip balm!
Ingredients: Apricot oil, Beeswax, Mango butter, Castor oil, Flavor, Glycerin, Vitamin E

Reve Maxeville Coconut & Curry leaf Hand & Body lotion($5 CDN) is a new addition! It’s a tropical and soft fragrance, and the lotion absorbs instantly leaving your skin feeling soft and great all day. LOVE.

There are so many other interesting products that Reve Maxeville has that sound just as amazing and I want to try them all! They do ship internationally too, so what are ya’ waiting for?

Are you trying to incorporate more natural/organic skincare into your routine as well?

  • Oh that hair treatment looks good! My skincare is a mix of pharmaceutical products and natural ones. I just don’t like to read long ingredient lists that I don’t understand anymore 😉
