I’ve heard of ARTDECO and their amazing products. So when a few pieces from their new Fashion Colors Autumn/Winter 2013 Collection inspired by celebrated designer duo Johnny Talbot & Adrian Runhof was sent to me, I was pretty excited to start testing!
The new products are available at select Shoppers Drug Marts. It takes inspiration from TALBOT RUNHOF’s new Autumn/Winter collection, and offers an “Asian Spirit meets Western Feeling”. I gotta telly ya, the packaging and design is something else! Like pieces of art! Imagine that, hey?
Let’s start with the blush, because you know me…it’s the first thing my eye goes to in any collection! ☺
The Artdeco Tri-colored Blush Couture($32 CDN) has three soft pastel pinks. When blended together they give the prettiest pink glow ever! There’s no glitter particles at all, and it lasts all day on my cheeks.
The Art Deco Blush Couture is easy to blend and feels silky smooth in texture. It even has Vitamin C and Vitamin E for some anti-aging help, so hey-I’ll take it! This won’t be my last Art Deco Blush my fellow blush fiends! I will be getting more of them to try that’s for sure! Oh, and it’s paraben and mineral oil- free too! Yay!
This collection has the Limited Edition Beauty Box Quattro ($14 CDN) which is a magnetic box that makes it easy to swap and combine your color palettes. It can hold 4 eyeshadows or 1 eyeshadow + 1 blusher.
The new long-lasting, iridescent eyeshadow shades ($8 CDN each)are really pretty! This is probably the most colourful fall collection I’ve seen and is perfect for fall.
Matt Rosy Starling #584 is a matte pinky beige that’s a perfect under the brow shade. Cherry Blossom #88 is a shimmery violet burgundy. Peacock Coquette #64 is a bright and vibrant turquoise blue. Western Opera #280 is a shimmery deep eggplant purple.
Artdeco eyeshadows are smooth in texture, but do need a primer to bring out the vibrant colours. The Artdeco Eyeshadow Base does that beautifully! Boy, is it EVER a great eye shadow primer. It works really well on my oily lids-better than most eye primers I’ve tried. I love that it’s in a pot too-no tubes, no wasting product at all. These Artdeco eye shadows blend like a dream over it. I think I’ve found my holy grail eye primer!
The Artdeco Art Couture Lash Volumizer ($21 CDN) has a super soft-fibre brush. It’s a fragrance-free mascara that I find really defines and lengthens lashes. It’s a pretty decent mascara that doesn’t clump or flake or smudge on me.
I think Artdeco Cosmetics are the perfect blend of art and makeup. Gorgeous to look at, fun to use and customize, and great quality too. In Alberta you can find Artdeco products at these Shoppers Drug Marts:

Breaking Bad. I’ve seen the first season years ago when the show first started. Not sure why I didn’t continue to watch, but that was one mistake I always regretted. But AMC is replaying the WHOLE SERIES from start to finish right now. So that means I haven’t really left my family room since last night, and have been and will be glued to the TV until it’s over on Sunday night. If you don’t hear from me until Monday, you know why…
Have a great weekend!
