L’Oreal Paris is the Official Sponsor of the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival 2013. Yay! And when you’re a makeup brand you of course create an official TIFF Collection to commemorate, right? Today I’m going to show you the Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipsticks inspired by a few of the celebrities that we see in L’Oreal campaigns: Doutzen Kroes, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, and Freida Pinto.
The packaging is gorgeous on these lipsticks! I really love the gold detail on them and the brushed black casing.
These Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipsticks are all nudes and the whole idea behind the collection is that each lipstick was made for these gorgeous ladies. So if you have the same colouring as JLo, then her nude lipstick will suit you too. L’Oreal’s message is “Dare To Go Bare: Made-To-Measure Nude Couture To Affirm Your Femininity And Sharpen Your Powers Of Seduction.” I don’t know about you, but I am really digging how brands are making nude lipsticks seem so fierce and empowering this year!
Ok, enough talk, let’s look at the lipsticks!
Pretty, yeah? Here’s another shot of them in the sunlight:
All of the L’Oreal Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipsticks are sheer with a glossy finish, although I found Eva’s to be pretty pigmented actually. Frieda’s has a bit of sparkle, and I’m not sure but I THINK By Doutzen does as well? but it’s so hard to see in a colour this pale.
L’Oreal Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipstick By Doutzen is the faintest, most prettiest sheer pink lipstick I’ve ever seen. For the palest of pale skins, this shade would be the perfect nude! It’s so pale though and my lips are pretty pigmented, so I find a pale pink lipliner really helps me wear this shade. Marky likes this one the best on me-she says it’s the perfect nude for me:
With my slightly tanned skin, I think By JLo’s nude suits me a just bit better at the moment though. On me it takes a slightly peachy tint, and you know I loves me a peachy nude:
The L’Oreal Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipstick By Eva has a hint of gold added for a sun-kissed effect. It’s the most opaque one of the bunch, and on me it’s a peachy coral and not very nude-no buts about that! If you have tanned, golden skin this one would be stunning on you:
Last is the By Freida nude lipstick which is perfect for amber complexions. This is an elegant mauve nude with no strong brown undertones to it:
All of the L’Oreal Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipsticks have that classic L’Oreal Lipstick scent to them-you either like it or hate it. I like it. Marky says they smell like sunscreen to her, while I think it’s more of a body lotiony smell they have. They feel nice on the lips and are fairly moisturizing. Being sheer, they don’t last much past 2 hours on me though, as my sahara dry lips like to suck up any moisture they feel in no time. A lip liner would really help lengthen the wear time for sure!
Each L’Oreal Collection Privée Colour Riche Lipstick will retail for $10.99 and will be available in September so keep stalking the L’Oreal aisles for these ones! I think you’re gonna love ’em!
Also included in the L’Oreal Collection Privée are blushes which I’ve only seen pics of but they look GORGEOUS, and some accompanying nude nail polishes as well:
Give me a couple of days to beat Marky into nail-modelling-submission for ya’all. I’ll get her to model these for us soon-it’ll just take a batch of chocolate chip cookies I think.
Whaddaya think of THESE nudes? Wearable? Easy? FIERCE?
