Clarins Eye Make-Up Removers Have Been Made Even BETTER!

I’ve been pretty loyal to the Neutrogena Eye Make-up Remover. Not because it’s incredible or anything, it’s fairly inexpensive and takes off all my eye makeup. It does leave behind a greasy residue that I can’t stand, but a lot of eye make-up is becoming increasingly resistant and long-wearing which is great, but that also means it’s getting harder and harder to remove, so I put with the greasy feeling. Until now. I’m NEVER using it again.

Clarins Eye Make-Up Removers are incredible!

Clarins researchers have reformulated the brand’s
best-selling eye makeup removers with organic floral waters of rose and cornflower plus organic camomile extract, all of which are soothing and comforting. They are alcohol-free and have a pH equivalent to tears, so they don’t sting the eyes at all. Clarins Laboratories have even added
D-panthenol, to strengthen and condition your lashes as well!

Clarins has two eye make-up removers in their arsenal, the Clarins Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover($27 CDN)and the Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover($27 CDN).

The Clarins Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover
is a refreshing and soothing lotion which gently removes all traces of most of my makeup that I wear and is water based. I’ve tried other water-based gentle eye makeup removers, and they’ve never taken off all of my mascara. This is the first one that works for me! It’s smells good too, and feels good! My eyes feel clean after using it, and not all greasy and oily at all. Love it!

The Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover
is a bi-phase lotion and YUP! It’s pretty instant at quickly removing any and every kind of makeup I wear. I haven’t found any waterproof mascara or eyeliner that it can’t remove. And the best part? It doesn’t leave a huge oily mess of my eyes either!

Both of these Clarins Eye Make-Up Removers are amazing and don’t irritate my highly sensitive eyes at all. Highly recommended by me!

What’s your favourite eye makeup remover?

*product sent by PR for review, clean, makeup-free and refreshed eyes are mine thank you very much!

  • OOOO so intrigued! I use Bioderma most of the time. It does remove non-waterproof mascara, but it takes a while. Everything else is bi-phase. I’m fine with it because I wash my face afterwards, but I’ll totally try this one to see if I can have my cake and eat it too!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

It’s really great Sunny! I think You’ll like it!

  • BooBooNinja

I haven’t used the Neutogena biphase remover in a year because of that oily feeling. (I hear a song in my head now … That lovin’ feeeeeling…) I had a brain fart and bought two bottles on sale at SDM’s last bonus points day. At least I know to try Clarins’ remover next.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL haha I know that feeling too. Yes, this is SO much better!

      • BooBooNinja

Oh man. I’m on my last bottle of Neutrogena MU remover. It sucks. I need to put in way too much time and elbow grease to remove my waterproof mascara. But $30??? Ahhh.. Why am I so cheap?!

      • TracyBeautyReflections

A long time ago! Can’t quite remember it. The Sephora one is pretty nice have you tried it?

      • BooBooNinja

Not yet. I wonder how feasible it will be to get a sample.
Anyway, I think this will be my final bottle of Neutrogena. It took minutes (!) to remove my waterproof mascara today. The price “savings” are not worth it my time.

      • TracyBeautyReflections

I don’t mind the Neutrogena one, except that it leaves such an oily residue. It works well for me! Too bad.

  • Bailey_AlltheWords

I just started using a Marcelle micellar water which is all kinds of amazing, but it doesn’t remove waterproof mascara, so clearly I need the Instant remover!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      You clearly do haha!

  • Thanks for reviewing this, Trakee! I’ve been wondering for a while how these Clarins removers stand up to long-wearing make-up!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

You are most welcome Monika! 🙂 Well worth trying I say!

  • Icaria

Nice! I’ve been using either Lancôme or Biotherm Micellaire, never thought about Clarins for this. The bi-phase for waterproof mascara would be a nice change. Thx for the review. 🙂

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Most welcome! It’s really good stuff!

  • So very true that makeup is a ping up their formulas and more long-lasting. I suppose makeup removers need to keep up! I wear waterproof mascara and use coconut oil to remove it, which works great but I agree that the greasiness around the eye area in not such a great feeling. So I am very curious! Thanks

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Yeah it’s the greasy feeling that I hate as well-both of these are so much easier on the eyes!

  • hmm never gave these a look but will def consider them in the future. thanks for the review!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Most welcome!

  • Is there one you like better? Which one should I try first? They both sound good!!!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Since you like waterproof mascara go for the Instant one!

  • Liz

I was sent the Instant Remover as well and that stuff is GOLD. Maybe even better than Lancome Bi-Facil. The scent is really quite strong and took me by surprise though.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

I know, right? I love it. And the scent too!

  • Toya

Since I double-cleanse at night with a balm then a regular cleanser, I don’t really need to use an eye makeup remover. Generally I just use a sample of Clinique’s TTDO if I do, as I usually have one of those kicking around. These sound quite nice though, however with the scent I’d never try ’em myself! I wish Clarins would cut that scent business OUT.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Hahaha see I LOVE the scent! It’s so calming!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Awwww, thanks so much! That’s so very sweet of you! I will check out your blog as well!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Me too! They have such great stuff!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Hmm good to know! I’ll have to see if it’s up here in Target!
