L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector Is A Game Changer!

I am LOVING the world of L’Oreal right now! They are stepping up their drugstore skincare game and making some pretty AWESOME and AFFORDABLE skincare that beats a lot of high end skincare I’ve tried. Seriously you guys-this is a game changer for me.
I’ll admit it-I’m a huge skincare snob. Well, not huge, but semi-huge. :) I am of the mindset that great, quality, effective skincare starts in about the $60 range. I haven’t quite graduated to the insanely priced high end skincare that’s out there, but I have used some expensive cult products like La Mer and SK-II, but nothing that’s cost over $150. That’s my limit. I have to put a kid through college for cripes sake, and as you can tell by my chubby cheeks-I likes to eat. :)

L’Oreal Paris is changing my whole skincare/money/efficacy mindset with their new products:

L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector products are supposed to give you smoother, more even skin in as little as one week. It perfects your skin by enhancing your natural regeneration process by exfoliating dead skin cells, and it improves elasticity too. Sign me up baby!! Although, this is a skincare line targeted at those of you that are experiencing the first signs of ageing-you know-fine lines, uneven skin tone and texture-I think I’ve passed that milestone about 20 years ago HAHAHA. Actually, I should be crying after writing that, but strangely enough I’m ok with it! I don’t actually have many deep wrinkles at my age (STAY OUT OF THE SUN GUYS), so I feel I can still use this stuff. But being the awesome mama that I am, I did a mommy sacrifice and passed the set along to Marky, so let’s see what she has to say after 1 week of using the set!

L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum Concentrate($29.99 CDN)-really light, absorbs quickly, feels nice and refreshing and smells good.

L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector Day/Night Cream($29.99 CDN)- isn’t greasy and actually leaves a matte finish which I like, smells good, and no breakouts!

I think this is a great skincare set for anyone starting to notice the first signs of aging like fine lines and uneven skin tone. What’s important for Marky and I’m sure most young women out there, is skincare that doesn’t cause breakouts, and so far so good. What she has noticed is smoother skin and brighter skin, so that’s something! It’s actually working! What I love about the L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector line is that there’s a serum. Serums are something that I think everyone should use, and I feel not enough young people use them. If you don’t use a serum, then here’s WHY you should be: they are concentrated formulas that are full of active ingredients like vitamins and antioxidants so they are actually MORE effective than just a moisturizer. They are usually designed for really specific problems you want to address like acne, wrinkles, pigmentation, and therefore you’re more likely to see results if you use one. Why? They’re more readily absorbed into your skin, and can penetrate deeper into the epidermis. The moisturizer that usually accompanies a serum is the icing on the cake, and locks in the benefits of a serum. So the L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector Line has got it right! It’s a great first anti-ageing skincare duo that will get you going in the right direction, and it’s affordable.

You can find L’Oreal Paris Youth Code Texture Perfector Serum and Day/Night Cream at most drugstores and retailers right now. If anything, at least pick up the serum! Your epidermis will thank you! And you can thank me by sending BLUSH to P.O. BOX BLUSH FIENDS, Edmonton, AB, Canada. I should change my REAL address to that one, hey?

Whaddaya think? isn’t L’Oreal Paris doing something amazing with their skincare? And do you use a serum? Please tell me you do….

Uhm, is that calling out to me? I have been thinking about changing up my skin routine to be more preventative/anti-aging, but I honestly have no idea what to get. I still suffer from hormonal breakouts, so I dunno if I should be using acne stuff or not. Must research this more!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Haha I can hear it say our name! ;P
It’s pretty great stuff! I hope you get it!

LOL, I have no idea how you worked blush into the post but you’re my hero!

I actually always liked L’Oreal skincare but think that some of their prices are bordering on ridiculous for drugstore lately. Luckily, there are sales!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

:P Dude-if I REALLY tried, I could work blush into EVERY post hahahaha!
I know, but honestly-this is quite high end, so it’s kind of worth it!

  • Toya

Agree with Liz, effing love the blush comment. Change your address already!! hahahah

This sounds pretty sweet, and right up my alley. My skin texture has been annoying me lately, so an investigation into these needs to happen asap!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Investigate away! Skincare is such a trial and error thing for sure!

  • Sarah Feldman

I tried this, but the denatured alcohol in the product (4th in the ingredient list) dehydrated my skin.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Awww, that’s too bad. My daughter LOVES it.

Loreal is such a great brand. I love their skincare lines! :)

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Me too!

I USE A SERUM! *beams proudly* If there’s anything my mom has drilled into my head about beauty products, it’s the magic and necessity of skincare. I think I should probably start putting a few more anti-aging type things into my routine, but Tracy, research is so hard and i’M ALREADY DOING TOO MUCH RESEARCH. I’m glad drugstore brands are bringing up their game, though!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      HAHAHAHAAH YAY YOU!! :)
LOL I know I know, but this one would be a great start!

I use an oil before moisturizer which is full of beneficial ingredients — I guess that could count as serum??

    LOL, will blog for blush!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Hahaha YES. :)

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Agree!! Serums are a must for me too.

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Agree! They are really changing for the better! She loves it-as a 20 year old, this line is perfect for her!

I just started using the day/night cream last week and already see improvements!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Yay! It’s kind of amazing hey?

  • Renee’ Preston

I have been using the serum for exactly one week as of today… This is my first times trying a serum as I’ve only just turned 27. I’m on the fence so far though :/ I don’t really notice a difference in my skin, if anything I feel as if it’s making me break more than usual? It’s on the sticky side and doesn’t seem to absorb completely for me. For this reason I can only use it at night, as I have oily-combo skin. My makeup only lasts about 2 or 3 hours before breaking up when I use this serum in the morning/day time. I’m going to stick with it though… Hopefully things change!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Awww, that’s too bad! It might not agree with your oil-combo skin then. My daughter who loves this and STILL uses it has normal-dry skin and it works really well for her!

For the life of me, I can’t understand the difference between the Youth Code TEXTURE PERFECTOR Serum & Cream and the Youth Code REGENERATING Serum & Cream. Is there really any difference between products or is it just re-packaging? If anyone has tried both products, I would really appreciate any opinions, comments and suggestions as to which one is better and why?
