Splat Hair Chalk Review Plus Win Tickets To See The Movie Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

I recently saw a trailer for a movie that looked really good called Mortal Instruments: City of Bones. Have you heard of it? It’s based on the worldwide best-selling book series called Mortal Instruments.

Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. I don’t know about you, but this is MY kind of book series! Which means it’s my kind of movie too!

The movie looks REALLY GOOD from what I could tell from the trailer of course, because I haven’t read the books although I’m downloading them onto my Kindle as I write this. What I DID notice was that a few of the characters had some really cool hair colours, and that’s because Splat is the Official Hair Colour for Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
in theatres August 21, 2013.

FarleyCo Canada recently sent me some Splat Hair Chalk to test out, and MAN I wish this stuff was around in the 80s because I would have been ALL OVER THIS STUFF then. Not that anything stops me NOW from using these haha!

I was sent the shades Dusty Rose, a pretty pink and Silver Moon which is a gorgeous pale, sky blue:

I walked out of the bathroom with my newly coloured Splat Hair and my hubby said: HEYYYYY-you look good! My husband is one of those guys that NEVER says anything about my makeup or my hair so THAT says something! Splat Hair Chalk lasts all day and is easy to wash out and I love it. That does look good! For some reason Cat didn’t want to read these. I guess she’d had enough of vamps after Twilight (although she didn’t read the last one, forbiden by me). But if this is the one with Jeremy Irons, I know she wants to see it. She’s weird, she likes old dudes. At least I have one entry, my facebook is all twisted and I can’t like anything. Now that hair, ROCKS!!! :D

Now I definitely want to read these books! I’ll have to check out the trailer!

Haha, you look amazing! I wanted pink/blue hair so badly while growing up and watching cartoons.

I was digging the trailer for this series until the werewolves entered. I’m just so tired of vampires and weres right now, lol.

Oooh, that’s so cool! I love the colors!

Also, the books. I’ve read most of them. They weren’t bad! The romance got a bit tiresome, and it’s a new sort of deal on vampires and werewolves. They’re fun :)

You’re a maverick, Lil Sis…and you totally rock this hair chalk! I believe I may have read Anna’s copy of City of Bones – it must have been when I was in between books, but dang if I can remember it now, lol!
