The SPECTRALIGHT Collection I’ve been showing you is inspired by the Aurora Borealis and has multi-dimensional pigments with optical effects and change colour depending on the light.

Sephora+Pantone Universe Astral Lip Glaze Gloss Set

The Sephora+Pantone Universe Astral Lip Glaze Gloss Set($29 CDN) contains 4 multidimensional, volumizing lip glazes in the shades (pictured from left) Arabesque, Chrysanthemum, Mauvewood, and Brandied Melon. You can see the holographic glitter in these glosses through the packaging! Really sparkly!

Swatchy Time!

Arabesque, Chrysanthemum , Mauvewood, and Brandied Melon

I’m not sure why Sephora’s called these glazes, or even glosses for that matter because they feel pretty thick and opaque-pretty much like a liquid lipstick I think. Sephora+Pantone Universe Astral Lip Glaze Glosses have a pretty heavy vanilla scent to them, which does dissipate though. I find them pretty sticky too, and because they are so opaque you do have to take extra care in applying them and make sure you are getting a nice, even layer. Oh, and they have a doe-foot applicator which is great when a lip gloss is as opaque as these are. A brush would have left streaks all over your lips!

Brandied Melon is NOT a colour I’d ever wear. It’s an apricot shade (actually reminds me of cantaloupe) with multicoloured shimmers and just looks weird on my skin tone. I think you need a pretty good tan to wear this one, plus like lipstick shades that remind you of Kraft Dinner. Or Cheezies. With sparkles.

Chryanthenum is a a pretty rose shade with multicoloured shimmers(they all have them by the way):

Mauvewood is a mauvey rose shade with multicoloured shimmers:

And lastly, the shade Arabesque, which is an orangey copper shade, and with this one the holograhic shimmers really show as you can see that my bottom lips looks pinker;

I love bright statement lips, but these Sephora+Pantone Universe Astral Lip Glaze Glosses are intimidating even for me! They are just SO bright, SO flashy, SO glossy and almost metallic looking-I’m not sure where I could wear these without feeling like everybody was staring at my lips! Maybe a concert? Or a festival of some kind? Definitely can’t wear these to Costco haha! I just can’t. Also, I do have to mention that they kind of make my lips burn a bit. I’m not sure if it’s the volumizing ingredient or something else, but I can’t wear them for longer than 15 minutes before needing to wipe them off, so I can’t even tell you how long they really last. I’d think a pretty long time as they are opaque and sticky. If you have sensitive lips, then these might not be something you’d be able to tolerate.

You can find the Sephora+Pantone Universe Astral Lip Glaze Gloss Set at Sephora!

That Brandied Melon is probably the weirdest shade of lipgloss/glaze/lipstick I’ve ever seen on my lips. What’s the strangest lip colour you’ve ever worn?

*Product sent by PR for review, thoughts are my own thank you very much 🙂

  • Wow, these are intense! I’m not too sure if I’ll want to wear something like this, but they for sure stand out!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Yup! They sure do Sunny! Like A LOT haha!

  • Holy crap, lol. They remind me of OCC lip tars! A little too intense for me, but they are pretty to look at ! They’d be great polish colors, I think, haha.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

In a way, but just thicker-OCC lip tars are thin like paint. These are thick. And you are right! They’d be awesome on nails.

  • Chrysanthemum and Mauvewood are amazing:)

    • TracyBeautyReflections

They are pretty! But in person they’re like WOWZA.

  • Icaria

Now this is definitely not for me but wouldn’t Kraft Dinner colored lips do for Costco? LOL 😀

    • TracyBeautyReflections

  • Sara Hawkins

They look very intense. I would wear them for my dance recitals and performances, probably not for every day.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

See, that’s a good idea! They’d be great for that. I have a friend who belly dances-these’d be PERFECT for that!

  • KRAFT dinner!!! Or Cheezies!! You are hysterical! I’m not sure who would look good in that cantaloupe shade? Dying thinking of you rockin’ the aisle of Costco with your lips scintillating and flashing! That’s definitely not good that they cause burning sensations on your lips! Oh dear! Back to the drawing board, guys!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

RIGHT? It looks like I smeared cheezies on my lips LOL. HAHA if I do that the Costco staff won’t let me in!

      • Costco Management: “If any of you guys see a woman approaching the entrance with the smeared cheezies lips, call security!”

      • TracyBeautyReflections

  • Liz

It’s hard to imagine you being intimidated by any makeup! These don’t look too bad. I’ll have to try them on next time in Sephora and see in person. It’s cool that they were inspired by Aurora Borealis — it’s my dream to see it someday. 🙂

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Haha I know, right? 🙂 They are a bit much!
You’ve never seen them? COME HERE. I’ll show them to you! We get them all the time!

      • Liz

WHAT? Holy heck, as if I needed any more encouragement to visit! 😀

  • Hello pigment! I love a liquid lipstick though I’m fearful myself of that burning sensation, I wonder what would cause that. I’m still thinking of those eye sticks from Sephora that you featured.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Get the eye creams instead Taylor-those are LOVELY! These-meh.

  • Lily

Whoa, these are super pigmented! Love how clean the packaging looks… and perhaps these are more wearable if they’re blotted down?

    • TracyBeautyReflections

They’re too sticky to do that which is too bad because that’s a great idea there. But they’d feel even weirder then.

  • Oh wow, I don’t know anyone who could wear Brandied Melon. I do love the name though! And LOL KRAFT dinner/Cheezies is right on, I see that resemblance 😉 I wonder how these would look dabbed over a lipstick, like in the center of the mouth? Might be cool, and much easier to wear.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

That might be the way to wear them! You are a genius.

  • telle

KD or cheezies with sparkles! HA HA HA HA! I am going to take this as a challenge and own wearing brandied melon! : ) I love how lovely and sparkly and complex these are in the tubes (and on the lips) and they smell lovely too! <3

    • TracyBeautyReflections

LOL hahaha YOU GO TELLE. YOU GO! 🙂

      • telle

i sure did! there and back! 😀

  • TracyBeautyReflections

I agree! Pretty in the tube, but just not for me!

  • Haha.. that colour definitely reminds me of the KD cheese lol.. They really do look almost too metallic-y.. the pink shades do look cute though.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

🙂 The pink ones are pretty and are the most wearable, but that KD one? I have no clue. Maybe Iman could pull it off!

  • Toya

I think these are a bit too pigmented and metallic for most tastes Tracy, you’re not alone! And that first one – yikes! Cheezies with sparkles for sure LOL!!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

🙂 Someone should do a lipstick line named after food, hey? 🙂 Can you see one named Steak Tartare BAHAHAHAHAHA

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Yay! I hope you like them!

  • Yeah, they’re kind of crazy!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Too much, right? Even for us!
