So I don’t know if you’ve heard, but come July 1st, the Air Canada Rouge Flight Attendants are getting a makeover! New uniforms and scarves, plus some snazzy shoes from the iconic Canadian Shoe designer John Fluevog. The new uniform is classy and stylish and I love it!
But the BEST part of their makeover is that Maybelline Canada and lead makeup artist Grace Lee created a clean and classic makeup look for the flight attendants too, providing them with custom beauty, training, and makeup-styling kits.
A bold, bright lip with a classic subtle cat-eye is on trend, and super wearable-even for us that are on the ground every day! I thought it would be really fun to recreate the gorgeous look that Grace Lee created for the Air Canada Rouge Flight Attendants!
Let’s take a closer look at the colour products used in the look!

Swatchy Time! (in the same order as mentioned above)
It’s been a long time since I’ve tried a Maybelline Eyeshadow Quad, but you know it wasn’t half bad actually! Sure, there’s some fall out, but it wasn’t something to get crazed about. They blend decently and have nice pigmentation too. The Maybelline Bouncy Blush in Coffee Cake is GREAT! I’ve never tried them before either actually, and the texture is pretty cool-squishy and soft, but not wet at all. I really like it a lot! It’s not crazy pigmented which is how I like my cream blushes as you know, and it works really well with a brush too. Win!
Here’s the eye look:
Oh, I guess I should mention the NEWEST Maybelline product that was used to create this smoky eye look for the girls, the Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes Mascara in Blackest Black:
Remember when I tried the Maybelline Fasies Mascara not too long ago and was kind of meh about it? THIS ONE IS SO MUCH BETTER.
As you can see, one end of the Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes Mascara has a big, bristley wand for your upper lashes and a skinny long wand for your bottom lashes. It’s kind of GENIUS actually. The formula is just wet enough for me, meaning I can keep building and building up mascara to get the intensity I like. The bottom lash wand is great for getting every last lash you have there and it NEVER globs mascara under your eyes ruining your concealer. Also, I kind of like using that skinny wand on my upper lashes AFTER using the other wand to kind of clean out any clumps if there are any. This is a great drugstore mascara!

The Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in Vivid Rose BLEW ME AWAY. Seriously, this is one of the most AMAZING drugstore lipsticks I’ve ever tried and I want them ALL now.
The top picture was taken in natural light, and the bottom one is indoors with flash. It’s a bright, hot rosy pink and so comfortable to wear and lasts FOREVER. I easily get 5 hours of wear out of it, and that’s even with sipping on a water bottle every so often. I love it! I’ll betting more of Color Sensational Vivids for sure!
Whaddaya think? Could I pass for an Air Canada Rouge Flight Attendant? I hope so! I love the promo pic of the models and I think they look gorgeous, but I would have made the close-up look more like THIS:
See if I was REALLY a flight attendant, this would be the face you’d see most of the time on me. You know, it’s that “Sir, that carry-on is NOT going to fit above your seat no matter HOW HARD you try to stuff it in there” look. Yeah, I wouldn’t last 5 minutes on the job haha! I have the upmost respect for what flight attendants do and the stuff they have to put up with! Kudos to you ALL!
You can get all of these great Maybelline products at drugstores everywhere and recreate the look too!
Could you be a fight attendant?
