???? Molson Canadian Beer Commercial and Makeup

So I am LITERALLY sitting here watching the Stanley Cup Final, and THIS Molson Canadian Beer Commercial comes on:

WHAT THE HELL????????????

I’m so angry that I’m eating potato chips right now and I NEVER eat them. Ok, they’re Limon Lays I brought home from California last week because they are SO GOOD with beer and they don’t sell them here, BUT STILL. The commercial made me do it because I was SAVING them for a special HAPPY occasion…

There’s just so many WRONGS about this commercial I don’t even know where to start. The objectifying of women? Being referred to as “THINGS”? That makeup is not “NATURAL”?

Molson Canada-your beer SUCKS and so does your PR. As a girl who LOVES makeup and beer, you have lost a customer FOR LIFE. Screw you and what you think is a NATURAL look. You wouldn’t know what natural is if it bit you in the ASS.

I am done, and so SICK of this kind of negativity about makeup. What about you?

  • Happy Chinadoll

I bet the PR preson is a guy…

    • TracyBeautyReflections

  • What the…. Oh wait how about looking at it another way. Through the eyes of someone high on the beer, even the most made up woman looks au naturel 😉 Still, its a silly campaign. Their red lipstick was stunning!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Right? At first I was like-OH COOL HAIR and makeup and then WHAT??????? BASTARDS. ALL OF THEM.

  • Liz

Bah, this commercial was made up by some man who can’t tell when a woman is actually wearing makeup or not. (The “natural” beauties in this commercial are wearing makeup, of course.) I doubt anyone from Molson is actually going out and personally harvesting wheat either.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

RIGHT? SO TIRED of this kind of BS. I don’t know how much more we can take of this crap!

  • What the hell? This makes me angry for all of the reasons you have said. Not cool!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

  • Laura H.

That is so ridiculous ! Those girls are still definitely wearing foundation, concealer, powder, mascara, etc, so really you can’t pretend their all natural anyway. Stupid men just think ‘I can’t really see anything bright so they must be natural’. And who cares if the makeup is natural or bold. Man, I am totally with you on the makeup negativity, it really gets on my nerves !

    • TracyBeautyReflections

RIGHT??? I am so TIRED of this kind of stuff. GET OVER IT DUDES. NOTHING is natural these days.

  • callitbeauty

Hmm… This commercial implies that men prefer women to look more “natural.” Which is probably why every single time I’ve been checked out by a guy, I was wearing bright lipstick. 😉

  • Sarah P

Ugh this commercial is so asinine. AND I agree – their beer sucks. Boo to Molson all-around.

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Right? I can’t understand WHY they’d put that commercial on the air? ANY sane woman should be angry after seeing it. Why would we EVER drink one of their beers again?

  • Lily

These people behind the scenes were probably drunk and looking at EVERYTHING through their beer goggles. Hence, this …. Pfft!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

      Right? SO WRONG.

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Hahaha you are right-it is kind of mixed up isn’t it?
My hubby never says anything about what I wear on my face, or my hair or anything. He likes everything and his whole view is that it’s my face, my hair so do what makes my happy with it. That should be the point, right?

  • Telle D

ha ha ha ha wow RIDICULOUS. beyond saying that, molson isn’t worth any more of my time.
i do have to add though that i love all of the comments that i have read! good points! 😀 <3

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Right? I just can’t stand this kind of stuff anymore! It’s utter STUPIDITY.

      • Telle D

you know, maybe we could all put together our ideas and genius and come up with a comeback commercial directed at the vanity of men and maybe beer guts or something….! >:D
I think we should include the line, “this one’s for you” and “because you’re worth it” ):D

  • Gaelle

Obviously made by a man for men with no taste/ subtlety!

    • TracyBeautyReflections

  • Toya

I’ve seen this commercial before, and it always irks me too, Tracy! I’ve had a few guy friends offhandedly say something about my makeup-wearing, but you know what? I DON’T GIVE TWO SHITS. LOL. I don’t wear it for them so pfffffffffffft. Also – I don’t drink Molson so they were already losing with me already! Cut your losses girl 😉

    • TracyBeautyReflections

Really? I’d tell the to mind their own freakin’ business. I don’t get what is going on in the world lately-what gives guys the right to even THINK they can criticize what’s on our face, or our hair, or ANYTHING. It seems to be getting worse.

  • Screw them! I thought their makeup looked great! And yeah, I don’t care for beer but I know that brand SUCKS.

I don’t wear makeup for men or anyone else — I wear it for ME. If I want to rock red lips, hell yeah I will! Screw you, Molson!
