I love beauty with a cause. As a beauty junkie, I like that I can help women in need when I buy something like a lipstick. I wish ALL makeup/skincare brands did that. You know they could afford to, but the majority of them don’t. Which is why I applaud companies like Mary Kay. And now that I know of The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation that supports women living with cancer through the Look Good Feel Better program, and that it also provides grants to women’s shelters and community outreach programs to help end violence against women, I’ll always buy their Beauty That Counts makeup. Always.
Right now, you can get two limited edition Beauty That Counts products- The Creme Lipstick in One Woman Can and the Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Celebrate. In Canada, Mary Kay will donate $1 from each sale to The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.
Limited-edition Beauty That Counts Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in One Woman Can ($16.50 CDN) swirls together previous Beauty That Counts shades Compassion and Inspiration to create a beautiful berry-pink colour that looks good on everyone.
A sheer formula that can be built up in opacity, Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in One Woman Can is full of antioxidants and moisturizers like vitamins E and C. It glides on easily and lasts quite a long time for a sheer formula. I get almost 4 hours of comfortable wear and love it! You do have to apply it in kind of a circular motion to get the two shades to blend together, but it’s not a big deal. OR if you like, just leave it and you get a kind of cool looking ombre lip instead!

Limited-edition Beauty That Counts Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Celebrate($18 CDN) combines Mary Kay favourites Cream & Sugar and Pink Parfait lip glosses to create a golden peachy-pink shimmer gloss that looks great on everyone too! It’s really smooth and moisturizing too and lasts quite awhile for a lip gloss. I put it on before going out on Saturday, and 3 hours later when I got home it was still there and my lips felt soft and moisturized! LOVE it.
Now both of them together!
These are the first Mary Kay lip products I’ve tried in probably a good 20 years and DANG people I’ve been missing out! I’m really enjoying wearing them together and that says a lot because I’m not a huge lipgloss on top of lipstick person. I usually wear one or the other, but I just love how both of them look and feel together on the lips.
Have you tried Mary Kay lip products before? What’s your favourite?
