Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains Are Going To Be Worth The Wait

You will need these when they get to Canada. Or are they here yet? I’ve been sick still so I haven’t really left the house in about a week!
Funny enough, these two shades are called Smitten and Adore. Kind of describes exactly how I feel about them!

Everybody in the Beauty Blogosphere has been raving about these Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and for good reason! They are pretty great! I had a hard time finding any on the shelves in San Jose-the displays were usually picked clean. I managed to finally get a few, but I’ll show you the two darker ones I got-which were usually the ones left over for some reason. Not sure why but these shades are really great so don’t ignore them when you do see them in stores!

Smitten, Adore

Smitten is a magenta pink, while Adore is a warm brick red.

Yes, they look a lot like the Tarte LipSurgence Pencils and also like the Clinique Chubby Sticks. But where Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains beat those is in the staying power. Going on these don’t have as much slip as those more expensive kinds, and you do have to go over your lips a few times to build up the intensity. But once on the lips, they feel like a lip balm-really nice and light, but moisturizing. There’s a slight peppermint scent, which disappears after a bit. They stay glossy for about an hour or so, and as the gloss fades the colour remains-staining your lips and staying put for quite a few hours. HOURS. Up to 6 hours I can get!

These Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are probably the BEST drugstore product yet. Easy to carry in your purse, and the texture is perfect for NOT melting in the summer heat of your purse. They pencils twist up and also retract as well, and I find I don’t worry about sharpening-you can sort of keep shaping them as you apply them on to your lips. These are perfect if you hate the upkeep of lipstick, and also if you are lip colour shy, as the shades are not so bright that they are scary. Plus as they fade into the stain, the colour becomes more muted. More natural-as if your lips are really that shade already.

I’ve already seen them for sale on, but they are currently sold out at the moment. And when you do see them, scoop them up because the displays only hold two of each shade-just like when the Revlon Lip Butters first arrived. Annoying to say the least. Why must they torture us I ask?
