What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag

Yup, I’m off again! Off to San Jose/San Francisco for the next week or so. My husband has been working there for almost 2 weeks, so we thought we’d use some air miles and join him.

I don’t think I’ve ever shown you what products I take with me on holidays! Ever! You might find this boring, but it’s actually good for me to do this because it makes me really think twice about what I’m taking with me! I am a HORRIBLE packer. I always take way too much stuff with me.

This is my makeup bag. I got it when I bought some Chantecaille skin care last year and I like it. It’s not very big but has lots of room.

Here’s what’s inside:

I think I did good this time! Usually I take way more stuff than this.

I’m taking my NARS Pure Radiance Tinted Moisturizer with me and the Laboratoire Dr. Renaud Colour Glow Complexion Creator so that I can add a bit of colour to it. I have the shade Finland but I think I need the shade Alaska now. Instead of buying another one, I just add a tiny bit of the Colour Glow to darken it up. Genius product! Also my Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Mineral Powder is coming too! Can’t be without that stuff!

Next is my Anastasia Clear Brow Gel and Brow pencil. I’m taking two concealers-the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer because it stays put all day and the YSL Touche Eclat in shade # 1. I’ve been using that as a highlight on my brow instead of an eyeshadow and it’s brilliant! You see 3 eyeliners in that pile -one brown, my Dior Turquoise for some colour and a black one by Tarte. All of them are waterproof and they stay put. My eye shadow primer is the Tarte Lifted Natural Eye Primer with Firmitol.  Hourglass Film Noir Mascara is coming with me because that stuff is GOLD I tell you. I am bringing my Giorgio Armani ETK #8 because that thing stays put no matter what, plus it’s a great neutral champagne that brightens up my eyes. Also the Smashbox Limitless Cream Eyeshadow in Gemstone is coming because I need a bulletproof taupe!

Cheeks are next and I always bring my Becca Beach Tints in Apricot and Grapefruit when I go on vacation. They stay put all day and look really natural. I sometimes will layer powder blush on top of them, so I’ve brought two Chantecaille shades. I really do love their blushes! And lastly my Naked 2 Palette. Honestly, I’m still debating on that one because I kind of hate bothering with eyeshadows on holiday. Creams eyeshadows are just so much easier! (Yup-I didn’t take it guys-thought I’d update you whilst I have free wifi at the airport. Left it at home!)

I’ll bring a couple of lipsticks, a couple of lip balms and maybe a gloss or two as well. I usually just grab what’s in my purse at the moment and put it in a clear see-through baggie and take them on the plane with me.

That’s it! Oh, and skincare will be easy this time since I’m still on the YSL Youth Liberator Challenge.
And I’m bringing loads of sunscreen!

Also, posting might be sporadic whilst I’m away this time. πŸ™

I’ve got a few scheduled posts for this week, but not something for every day next week. I’ve never really taken an actual holiday from blogging, but this time I need to. Mostly because I won’t have daily internet access this trip, but also because we’ll be pretty busy. But if I have a chance in the evening, I’ll try and log on.

So forgive me! But I’ll have lots to share when I get back, I promise. πŸ™‚ Try not to miss me too much!
