Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipsticks contain papaya and orchid extracts to soften lips and also provide anti-oxidant and anti-aging protection. They also contain something called Raist which is a sugar derivative that is supposed to provide immediate hydration.
Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Aster is a bright and pigmented raspberry pink. It’s a soft lipstick, and I find a lip brush is needed with this colour to lay down a first coat, otherwise you can really mess it up. But after that, straight from the tube works great. The texture of Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipstick in Aster is amazing-it just seems to melt into your lips and feels very moisturizing.
Chantecaille Hydra Chic Lipsticks are supposed to give 6 hours of wear. On my parched lips I find Aster lasts almost 4 hours. I can see it lasting longer if your lips are in great shape though. Also, near the end of the wear time my lips feel a tad dry, but that happens with any lipstick for me. My lips just want to suck in all the moisture they can get!
I’m really loving the products I’ve been trying from Chantecaille. I love how every year they raise funds to sustain wildlife. Yes, they are a luxury brand, but I don’t mind paying a bit more knowing that a portion of that money is going to a great cause.
