Sleep Is Optional With Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation!

During the last Shopper’s Point Redemption, I was perusing the Bourjois Paris gondola because I haven’t bought much from the brand since it left Sephora (I bought a lipstick last fall).  I used to love their mascaras and eyeliners a lot and thought one of them would be good to use my points for, but the thing that caught my eye was the Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation. I was having a lot of tired-looking-skin kind of days last month, so this intrigued me. Could Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation make me look like I had 10 hours of blissful beauty sleep? Only one way to find out!

Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation is supposed to conceal signs of fatigue with its high concentration of vitamins E, F, B5 and minerals. It’s also oil-free. It comes in a great little pump bottle which ALL foundations should, right?

One pump dispenses the perfect amount too. Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation is light in coverage, but it is buildable to almost a medium coverage. If you have some spots, you’ll need a concealer still. It actually is a bit runny, more like a tinted foundation in texture and in feel. I find my fingers are the best to spread out Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation because of the texture.

Once I had Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation on, I was amazed. My skin looked fresh and radiant! I looked healthy and well rested! Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation leaves a healthy, dewy finish which is my favourite kind of finish on my dry skin. If you have oily skin, I’d stay away from this one as I think it might slide right off. If you find it too dewy of a finish, a good translucent setting powder tones down the glow nicely.

Bourjois 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation is an awesome discovery I had made last month. I’ll purchase it for sure when I run out.  It really does make you look like you had 10 hours of beauty sleep!

  • Hey Tracy-what color did you get? I am interested in trying this out and believe we are of similiar skin tones!

  • @meredith: I got the lightest one-#71. I really like this stuff. I used the Sigma F80 to buff it in-beautyiful finish!

  • Really interesting review, I would be curious to know how much this was. My fav wide awake look is to use Benefit's eye bright…it really helps fake my way thru the day!

  • Bourjois has always been a brand that I admire, especially when they have LE collections! But price tag is rather high for a drugstore brand.

  • I was really happy when Bourjois came to Shoppers but realized recently that I'm not too crazy about their products. However, passing by their little pots of shadows and blush always cheer me up somehow! Glad you found a good foundation!

  • @Tracy D: It was around $20 as I recall.@Fay H: It is a bit high, but some of the other drugstore brands are starting to get up there in price lately too I've been noticing.@Liz: I know what you're saying, I always hated their eyeshadows until I recently discovered that they are WAY better wet!

  • this looks great, I've seen people rave about their foundations (UK people anyway) on youtube all the time.

  • Ooh! This sounds really lovely – will have to check out the ingredient listing when I'm at Shoppers next time! 🙂

  • I really want to try this brand at some point in my life, but for right now, just thinking about how few foundations actually work on my oily (way oily) skin makes me want to eat chocolate…and sleep for 10 hours. :(P.s. You're package is not on it's way yet but will be soon because I am getting some work done on my car (battery issues). Patience…it's a virtue!

  • @Justine: Yes even Lisa Eldridge loves them! And I trust her.@Rae: I should post ingredient listings from now on-other people might want to know that info as well. Thanks!@Aniej: haha-no worries!
